Angel finds Lorna indulging in a little too much wine, and they talk about the recent revelations in Lorna's life. (Backdated to May 3)

Angel stopped in the door of her suite, tilting her head. It was fairly early in the afternoon, Lorna was usually still in her office at this point. Not sitting on their couch sipping a glass of wine. "Okay," she finally said, closing the door and dropping her bag, going over to the couch. "What's going on?"

"Nothing. Just enjoying a glass of wine." Lorna looked at her half full glass of fine. "Nothing is wrong. Everything is good. And watching some...what am I watching?" Looking at the television for a while.

"Daytime television, from the looks of it," Angel said, raising an eyebrow, as a title screen came on. "Days of Our Lives. How thrilling. I have an aunt who loves this show. So like I was saying. What's up?"

"Huh? Is that so?" Taking a sip of her wine as she looked over at Angel. "Remember that key I found when I visited my parents in February?"

That was more like it. Angel settled down on the edge of the couch, leaning forward. "Yeah. You figure out what it went to?"

"Yes. It went to a lock box that was being stored here in New York City. It had a picture of Eric inside. You want a glass of wine? I think I will get another." Lorna got up and walked over to the open bottle.

"Eric?" Angel questioned, going after her. The bottle was half-empty already. "Um, no thank you." She wondered vaguely how much Lorna had had.

"Yup Eric. He goes by Magento. Wine?" Offering once more before taking a sip of her own glass.

"Magneto. Why was there a picture of Magneto in a lockbox your family owns?" She wondered if Lorna was half-drunk or just not paying attention. "Sure," she said. "Here, I got it." She grabbed a glass and popped the bottle open. "So the picture?"

Lorna gave Angel a look, "It belonged to my birth mother." She whispered and leaned against the counter, she was a little buzzed. "I took a sibling DNA test with Wanda the other day. We will get the results next week."

...Ah. "Okay." Angel carefully took the glass of wine from her suitemate. Probably time to cut her off. "Let's sit." She took Lorna's hand, giving her a light tug. "Come on."

"My wine." She stared at it as she was lead away. "I am fine I swear. Just trying to process it all. "

"You can have your wine back in a few," Angel promised as they sat back down. She wasn't going to argue the "fine" point, but being buzzed at two-thirty in the afternoon didn't exactly scream "I'm okay!"

Sitting back down and looked at Angel, "I am just frazzled and I am thinking of making some fried chicken. Want some fried chicken?"

"Uh...maybe later." It wasn't often Angel was caught off guard by something. But the fried chicken had been totally out of left field. "You wanna talk about it?"

Lorna was silent for a while before she spoke, "He told me that I was his kid. Showed me a paper with a bunch of results on it. We chalked it up to him lying to me...and left it at that." Putting her face into her hands as she leaned forward and made a frustrated noise. "I should had just gotten the test then and there. I never thought he would be actually telling me the truth."

"I don't think anyone would have believed that," Angel said quietly. "I mean....that's just insane. Why would you believe him?" She wrapped her arms around Lorna's shoulders, holding her tight.

"Wasn't exactly myself when he told me. But he had "proof"." Lorna used quotation marks with her fingers. "But seeing that picture of youthful picture of him in something my birth mom owned. Kind of puts things in different perspective."

"Hindsight sucks," Angel agreed, tightening her arms around Lorna. She hated it when people were upset and she couldn't help. "You didn't know."

"I still don't know. Won't know what the test says for another couple of days. You are the first person I told outside of Wanda. Bishop knows but he is the one that found the box for me."

"Well all right then." Not that Angel didn't understand why she was worried. Just the thought of it was...well, terrifying. "No use in getting too worked up-" Or too drunk, "until you know for sure, right?"

"True. Just in the past...lets just say I had major health issues and been doing well since I came back from Muir Island last year. And since I have been doing so well I don't want to fall back down that path again. It is so hard breaking habits and don't want to restart them again."

"Well...tell you what," Angel said. "If you start feeling yourself slipping back into those habits, I'll kick you back." She was completely serious. "And yes, I know it's not that easy, but that doesn't mean I can't try."

"Just make sure I eat something and give me the fine pointers of how well I have been doing and how far I have come." Lorna leaned on her suitemate. "What would I do without you here?"

"Find other, not-as-awesome-redheaded-people to lean on," Angel replied with a smile, turning her head to rest her chin on Lorna's shoulder. "But your life would be sadly deprived. And I can definitely make sure you eat. In fact, let's start right now. Have you eaten yet today?"

Lorna smiled and then thought about it, "Uh, yes. I had some breakfast and a salad before I had a glass of wine."

Angel looked over at the bottle of wine sitting on the counter. Either that had been a big glass of wine or it had been a few hours since then. "What time is it, anyways?" She dug through her pocket to find her cell-phone. "How about lunch and a Disney movie?" When in doubt, fall back on Disney.

"Probably just after twelve." Lorna looked at her watch before looking at Angel. "That actually sounds like a really good idea. I can never get enough of Disney movies."

"Great." Angel grinned in return. "What're you in the mood for? Food and movie, you pick both."

"How about The Black Calderon and some left overs in the fridge?"

"Sounds good." Angel hugged Lorna tight before standing up. "I'll get the food, you get the movie in?"
