x_cyclops: The jet flies low on the horizon, but approaches the coordinates rapidly.

x_kitten: *Kitty's has the second Harry Potter book open on her lap, but is staring out the window*

x_cyclops: It leaves a trail (ala the first movie), but slows down as it gets closer, landing *somewhat* gently in the water at the edge of the beach.

x_cannonball: *Sam smirks, grinning at Scott.* "That one could'a been better."

x_kitten: *folds over her page and perks up* "This is it?"

x_cyclops: "..."
x_cyclops: "So the Professor said." *looks around for someone*

x_havok: *laying on the beach, head resting on his duffel bag, eyes closed with headphones on*

x_cyclops: "There." *points to man*

x_kitten: *peers out the window*
x_kitten: "So open the hatch and let's go get him..." *bounces*

x_havok: *Alex opens his eyes when he hears the jet land and sits up slowly, bringing the headphones around his neck and shutting his CD player off.*

x_cyclops: *smiles at Kitty, then punches button*
x_cyclops: "By all means." *gestures to the ramp as he gets up*

x_kitten: *pops out of her seat and dashes for the hatch*

x_cannonball: *stands and ambles out onto the beach, breathing in the sea air* "Mmm...wish we could stay a while..."

x_kitten: "Hello!" *calls out loudly*
x_kitten: "Are you Alex?"

x_havok: *stands up, brushing the sand of his back* "That would be me."

x_cyclops: "We should get some supplies. Fresh fruit, at least."

x_kitten: *runs through sand, stumbling a little* "HI!"
x_kitten: "I'm Kitty!"

x_cyclops: "But that would mean we'd have to land somewhere..."
x_cyclops: *looks around* "...else." *exits jet, heading toward Kitty and Alex*

x_kitten: *Makes it to him and stops, offering him a grin and a hand to shake*

x_havok: *smiles* "Radical." *whistles at the jet* "Nice ride."
x_havok: *shakes Kitty's hand*

x_kitten: "Yeah, it's called the Blackbird. It's fantastic..."
x_kitten: "Wow," *glances around* "This place is gorgeous."

x_havok: *looks around and shrugs playfully* "Yeah, it's a nice place to call home."

x_cyclops: *approaches, watching the two of them, studying Alex, but thanks to the visor is not easily noticed*

x_cannonball: *smiles at Kitty* "Hi Alex, I'm Sam Guthrie. Pleased to meet you." *he offers a hand*

x_cyclops: *stops a few feet away from the group, staring*

x_kitten: *notices*

x_cyclops: *head tilts to one side*

x_kitten: "And that's Scott over there..." *points*

x_havok: *shakes Sam's hand* "Wow, you pack quite the punch there!"

x_kitten: "Or, well, Mr. Summers..."

x_cannonball: *snickers* "Thanks, I think. Yeah. Scott's the head of our team."

x_cyclops: "...Alex...?"

x_kitten: *looks back* "Sorry Mr. Summers. Rogue said you didn't mind being called that... I probably shouldn't though."

x_havok: *looks behind them to Scott, but freezes when he hears the last name Summers*

x_cyclops: *looks completely stunned, goes pale white*

x_havok: *can't speak, looking at him, quite stunned*

x_kitten: *stares*
x_kitten: *she's never seen Mr. Summers do that*

x_cyclops: *then moves forward, stumbling, and envelops Alex in a huge hug*

x_cannonball: *blinks* "Hey, y'all?"
x_cannonball: "Um."

x_kitten: *stares some more*

x_havok: *swallows hard, hugging his brother back* "Scott...Is that really...you?"

x_kitten: "Um... indeed."

x_cannonball: *is totally confused, and just shrugs, grinning*
x_cannonball: "I guess they know each other, huh."

x_kitten: *looks at Sam and nods* "..guess so..."

x_cannonball: "Family'd be my guess..."
x_cannonball: "Considering."

x_kitten: "I didn't know Mr. Summers had any family..."

x_havok: *tears are in his eyes, completely ignoring what Sam and Kitty are saying*

x_cyclops: "oh god oh god oh god..."

x_cannonball: "Neither did I." *winks* "But I guess we were wrong."
x_cannonball: "Maybe we oughta give 'em some...room?"

x_kitten: "Yeah... Probably..."

x_cannonball: *motions towards a big rock nearby to go sit*

x_cyclops: *pulls back to look at him, looks him up and down*

x_kitten: *follows*

x_cannonball: *sighs as he sits, shooting a look at Kitty* "So. How's life, Kit?"

x_cyclops: "Look at you..." *grips his upper arms tightly, as if he doesn't want to let him go*

x_havok: *puts his hand up to touch the visor covering Scott's eyes, but doesn't and drops his hand and doesn't mention it* "I never thought....dreamed...I'd see you again."

x_kitten: "Not bad, now..."

(Sam and Kitty go off a ways to have a side conversation.)

x_cyclops: "I thought you were okay. You didn't show any mutant powers. I thought you'd...you were adopted." *shakes head*

x_havok: *swallows again and looks down* "I was, adopted that is."
x_havok: "But then I when I was 12, I blew up half the living room of our home. My family was alright about it, but the neighbors....not so alright."
x_havok: "I ran away and can here...where I ended up blowing up again." *sighs, then looks up at Scott* "But what about you? They wouldn't tell me what happened to you...only that...you were a mutant and was being taken care of."

x_cyclops: *nod* "I...I didn't know."
x_cyclops: *finally releases Alex, moves one hand to his visor*
x_cyclops: "I was, sort of. I... ended up with Charles Xavier, who runs the school."
x_cyclops: "He helped me when no one else would. This," *gestures to the visor* "blocks my power. In the plane crash? My ability to control my power was damaged."
x_cyclops: "How long have you been in Hawaii?"
x_cyclops: *is starting to regain control of his emotions*

x_havok: "About 5 years. Being making it as a lifeguard." *glad the subject has changed to something a bit less emotional*
x_havok: *been
x_havok: "Was the only empty flight leaving the airport when I was running away and since it was pre 9-11, it was easy to sneak on." *shrugs*

x_cyclops: *raises an eyebrow above the glasses*
x_cyclops: *but then smiles* "I ... I don't know what else to say. But we can talk more on the way back. Someone's going to notice us soon."
x_cyclops: "Besides, it's not as long of a flight as yours to get here, no doubt, but it will take some time."
x_cyclops: *waves to Kitty and Sam to come over*

x_cannonball: *waves back, sliding down off the rock*

x_kitten: *stands to head over*

x_cyclops: *reaches out and puts his other hand on Alex's shoulder, as if to make sure he is still there*

x_havok: *nods* "Yeah, hate to keep your teammates over there waiting..." *grabs his lower arm before Kitty and Sam come over* "It's great to see you though....I've missed you something awful."

x_cannonball: *jogs over, smiling* "So...what's the story, you two?"

x_kitten: *follows Sam*

x_havok: *lets Scott explain, he is their friend/leader after all*

x_kitten: *she looks curious, but isn't asking questions*

x_cyclops: "This, as you know, is Alex. Alex Summers. My little brother."

x_cannonball: *Sam's eyes widen* "Huh! Well I'll be..."

x_kitten: *smile turns into a grin* "Nice to meet you again Alex Summers. I'm Kitty Pryde..."

x_havok: *laughs at Sam's reaction* "Wasn't expecting that were you?"

x_cyclops: "'I'll be' indeed."

x_kitten: "What I want to know is _what_ he'll be."

x_cyclops: "I wonder if the Professor knew..." *spoken softly*

x_havok: "Nice to meet you again Kitty." *looks at Kitty strangely* "What I'll be? huh?"

x_cannonball: "No, can't say I was!" *he grins broadly* "But welcome aboard, Alex! I'm sure everyone'll be real excited to have another Summers around!"

x_kitten: "No, what Sam'll be..."

x_havok: *laughs at himself* "Oh! duh!"

x_kitten: *grins again*

x_cannonball: *smirks* "A monkey's uncle?"

x_cyclops: *smiles, and starts the group moving back to the jet*

x_kitten: "Really? Something about one of your siblings you haven't told us yet?"

x_cyclops: "We need to get moving, or the tide will get in the jet."

x_havok: "I'll take the fact you want another Summers around to be a good thing." *follows his brother closely, picking up his backpack and duffel bag* "Smart idea."

x_kitten: *eyes widen and she glances out* "That'd be bad..."
x_kitten: "Is that all the luggage you've got?"

x_cannonball: *sticks his tongue out jokingly at Kitty*

x_havok: *nods* "Yep, when the police are looking for you for exploding a bomb on a beach, you tend to pack light."

x_kitten: *sticks tongue out back*
x_kitten: *eyes get big* "Oh..."
x_kitten: "yeah..."

x_cannonball: *nods* "We'd heard about that..."

x_kitten: "Sorry."
x_kitten: *bites her lip*

x_cyclops: "Thankfully there was no need of Piotr on this trip, then."

x_havok: *shrugs* "I couldn't help it and I don't think they'd take the excuse that I'm a mutant."
x_havok: "Piotr?"

x_cannonball: "Probably not." *shakes his head a little*
x_cannonball: "Um. Piotr's another mutant."

x_cyclops: "Strong. Tall and strong. Good with luggage and shopping bags, from what I hear."

x_cannonball: *Sam laughs* "Oh, and I ain't tall and strong?"

x_havok: *laughs at the two of them*

x_kitten: *looks up and up and up at Sam* "Definitely tall..."

x_cyclops: *smiles* "No one is as tall as Piotr. But you are strong, yes. Farmboy, was it?"
x_cyclops: *enters the jet, heads toward the front to run through the procedure for takeoff*

x_cannonball: *Sam rolls his eyes in mock-exasperation* "Yeah. Farmboy, Hayseed, Corn-Fed. Whatever demeaning stereotype Al or John can think up."

x_kitten: *goes back to her seat, the pauses* "Oh, we should secure your bag Alex..."

x_cannonball: *he breaks into a laugh, obviously not taking any of it seriously*

x_havok: *smiles* "That would be a good idea. Where would you suggest?"

x_kitten: "Here, I'll show you..." *leads him to a luggage thingy*

x_havok: *makes a face at Sam's nicknames comment* "Oh great, do i have to be prepared for bad surfer puns?"

x_kitten: "Of course..."

x_cannonball: "Hah...probably. If you don't mind 'em. If you're sensitive about it, don't worry, they'll be good."

x_havok: *laughs as he stows his bag where Kitty showed him* "Nah, we surfers tend to tease each other with them."

x_kitten: *goes back and drops in her chair, moving the book first*

x_cyclops: "Strap in, we're going v-tol to start up."

x_cannonball: "Knarly, dude." *uses his best stoned surfer voice*

x_kitten: *laughs at Sam* "Behave you..."

x_havok: *rolls eyes, but laughs as he sits down and straps in*

x_cannonball: *holds up his hands in surrender and puts on his belt in the co-pilot seat*
x_cannonball: "Okay, okay! Sorry!"

x_cyclops: *once everyone is in, the jet's engines roar loudly, and it slowly moves straight upward*

x_havok: "At least he didn't say Cowabunga..." *shudders*

x_kitten: *straight faced* "Yes, that would have been totally heinous."

x_cyclops: *after it reaches a certain height, it spins around in a 180, facing the direction they entered the cove*

x_kitten: "ooh, we go fast now..."

x_cannonball: *chuckles at Kitty* "Kit, you're too easily amused..."

x_cyclops: "Hang on..." *so saying, he pauses but a few seconds to flip the right switches, and then the jet shoots forward, climbing in altitude rapidly as it goes*

x_cannonball: "Someday I oughta take you flying with me and you can see what it's REALLY like."

x_kitten: "That'd be _excellent_!"

x_cyclops: "Ah, but what about the landings? Well, she can phase..." *smiles at Sam*

x_havok: "Phase?" *raises an eyebrow* "That sounds interesting."

x_kitten: "Oh... I'd probably phase and fail to loose my momentum... end up a mile and a half underground..."
x_kitten: "Yeah, I can "phase" out, and become insubstantial."

x_havok: *eyes light up* "That's uber cool."

x_cannonball: "Landings aren't a problem." *smiles*

x_kitten: *blushes* "Yeah, I guess. Kinda..."

x_cannonball: "Invincible when I fly, remember? So's anyone I'm touching."
x_cannonball: "Makes landings real easy."

x_kitten: "Yeah, you just run into stuff..."
x_kitten: "Easy on you. Less so than on the landscape."
x_kitten: *smiles*

x_cannonball: *shrugs, grinning* "I'm getting better! I swear!"
x_cannonball: "I'll take you sometime so you c'n see for yourself."

x_cyclops: *stifles a smile*
x_cyclops: *settles back as they reach a good altitude*

x_havok: *laughs at the two of them*

x_cyclops: *turns halfway in the chair* "So, tell us more about what happened when your power manifested."

x_cannonball: "I'm real curious, m'self."

x_havok: *stops laughing not realizing who their talking to* "Me?"

x_cyclops: "You." *smiles*

x_kitten: *quietly* "If you don't mind talking about it..."

x_havok: *shrugs* "I have to learn to control it, so I have to talk about it..."
x_havok: *thinks for a moment* "Well, my power manifested the first time when i was 12. I was sitting with my adoptive family in the family room watching TV."
x_havok: "My hands started to burn and suddenly, energy going everywhere. Took out half the room. I was uber lucky no one was hurt, including myself. Then I blacked out."

x_cannonball: "Woah...that's serious, Alex..."
x_cannonball: *very concerned look*

x_havok: "No shit." *shrugs* "...Since then, I can feel the energy flowing into my body."

x_kitten: "Flowing in...?"
x_kitten: "When? All the time, or when something happens...?"

x_havok: "Well..." *tries to explain it* "I can feel it increasing, since now I kind of know what it feels like...it's hard to describe...all the time."

x_cyclops: *nods in understanding to what Alex's saying*

x_havok: "I tried to release it, so it wouldn't build up and blow up again, but I can't seem to release it on command."

x_kitten: "That's interesting... Cause Jamie gains energy from kinetic impacts, but if it's happening all the time it couldn't be that... unless you were affected by _really_ small things..."

x_havok: *sighs* "I don't know."

x_cannonball: "Well, he could be, couldn't he? Just...subatomic things?"

x_kitten: "That's what I meant by really small things, yeah."

x_havok: "And of course, a few weeks ago, I was getting off of a life guarding shift and felt the burning again..." *looks down, thinking about all the people, not really listening to anything else*

x_kitten: "Cause then it would be happening all the time..." *trails off as Alex continues*

x_cyclops: *gets a little technical* "Does the power have a release point? Your hands, or like in my case, your eyes? Or does it just come from everywhere? Do you know?"

x_havok: *holds up his hands* "It comes from here."

x_cannonball: *falls silent, letting Scott get deal with the technical information for the report*

x_cyclops: "Can you direct it? Hold it for a time? No, wait...what happened on the beach, first?"

x_havok: *shakes head* "I can't do anything with it. My hands start to burn then the energy just erupts...and it keeps coming till I'm totally drained and blackout."
x_havok: "The only trigger I can guess is my body has absorbed as much energy as it can hold and it has to drain itself before it can start absorbing again...but that's just a guess mind you."

x_cyclops: "We'll make sure you're in a solid room, then." *smiles*

x_havok: *smiles softly* "Thanks...I don't want to hurt anyone, by accident."

x_kitten: "Where is Alex going to be put?"

x_cyclops: "But I guess that means you'll be working on control issues, with me."

x_kitten: "I can't remember which rooms have openings..."

x_cannonball: "I think you'll be with Jamie.."
x_cannonball: "But I could be wrong."

x_havok: *laughs* "I don't think I'll mind. need to make up for lost time anyway."

x_cyclops: "Actually, I think he's next to Bobby and Jono."
x_cyclops: "And Everett."

x_kitten: "Oh, cool..."

x_cyclops: "With (insert names of NPCs here)."

x_havok: *nods* "Sounds cool...."

x_cannonball: "Oh! You'll be fine, they're all great..."

x_kitten: "Oh, so you're going to be just down the hall from me..."

x_havok: "That's killer, considering I have a feeling this school will be a tad bit overwhelming."

x_kitten: "Yeah, we can be a bit much, but everybody's really nice..." *does her best not to think about Jono and the sarcasm icon*

x_cannonball: "They are. It's great. You'll love it."
x_cannonball: *Sam turns to grin at Alex* Even when they crack jokes at you."
x_cannonball: "Or on you!"

x_cyclops: "You'll probably get used to it quick. Even Jono has managed to adapt."

x_kitten: "And the Mansion has all sorts of great facilities... the gym, the courts, the stables... "
x_kitten: "...the grounds are huge, and the labs aren't bad..."

x_havok: *glances slightly at Scott, smiling* "I'm sure I will....love it that is."
x_havok: "Sounds absolutely rad."

x_cyclops: *rolls eyes behind visor*

x_kitten: "Oh, it totally is!"
