Genosha - The Unwritten Alliance: Infiltration

Bishop and Ororo arrive under the radar as Wakandan investors.

Baggage Claim areas at airports were universally crowded, slightly chaotic and full of impatient travelers volleying for the closest position to the conveyor belt so they could wait fifteen seconds less for their bags than anyone else. Wellington International Airport was no different, full of the noises of travel - tourists chatting with each other, businesspeople on their phones, the occasional parent coaxing their bored child away from the conveyor belt. The pair of Wakandan investors were barely a blip on anyone's visual radar, just another set of travelers waiting for just another set of luggage.

"They must need a heavy lifter back there." Bishop noted impatiently, watching as the crowd began to thin after collecting their baggage. "Or someone to wake the loaders up from their nap."

Ororo smiled, reaching up to tug her tightly-wrapped headscarf into a more comfortable configuration with her thumb and forefinger. "You are too used to New York airports - there is less push for expediency here. Besides, in the heat of the day a nap is only prudent."

"Much less." Bishop agreed before stepping forward to pull a bag off the turn style as they began to arrive.

"I would congratulate you on playing your role so well," Ororo murmured then, "if I did not think your impatience was in earnest. We do not want to draw undue attention to ourselves with our behaviour, remember."

"Most thieves get caught because they look around." Bishop murmured back. "The harder you try to fly under the radar, the more out of place you look. I'm not going to throw a fit but who doesn't complain in an airport?"

"People who have seen too many?" she sighed. It wasn't Bishop's fault that they were isolated like this, away from the rest of their team. Necessity dictated that they split up, and yet she would have felt better being able to keep an eye on everybody rather than acting as merely one independent arm of the operation.

"I've never cared for flying." Bishop admitted before leaning forward to pull another of their bags off the turn style.

"Airplanes are certainly not the optimum method for flying," she agreed, hefting one of the smaller bags over her shoulder. "But needs must."

Bishop snared the final bag, turning to look for the exit. "Hotel should be a better experience." He offered to improve the mood.
