Darkness Within Plot: Tandy, Sue and Spite
After the girls receive news that they have to head back home, the girls are attacked by Spite (sort of)
"This sucks. Cutting our trip early because...he woke up." Tandy sighed as she returned the key to their hostel room. "Danke" Turning back to see her friend. "Come on the train leaves in an hour."
"At least we got most of the holiday before your dad woke up," Sue pointed out trying to cheer up her friend, ever since she'd got the news about her dad Tandy had seemed distracted. "Maybe we can spend the rest of the vacation somewhere else? Somewhere safe where we can still enjoy ourselves."
"It is weird. Now of all times he woke up. It has been almost two years since..." Tandy sentence stopped suddenly and lowered her head. "Just when I think life is going to be alright, it throws a curve ball." She took a deep sigh before leaving the hostel and into the evening air. "Maybe next time we could go to Australia."
"It is all the way on the other side of the world," Sue noted, "you can't really get safer than that. And think of all the sand, and sea and hot surfer guys. Plus you're totally immune to all the bugs an snakes everyone is always afraid of so that's a big positive." she continued waving her hands in the air as she built up the image hoping to distract Tan, "Besides, you know it's all gonna be alright, I mean SHIELD is hunting him down now, no-one can hide from them. I bet you as soon as we get back to America they'll have found him and can finally ask all those questions they've been waiting to."
Tandy chuckled a bit, "Sue, I think hot surfer guys or gals are more your taste." Tandy put her arm around her friend feeling a little better. "Is it wrong to think that I hoped that he never woke up? I mean he is the fourth person I put into a coma, the other three woke up within a year so when he didn't wake up, I just hoped...I am worse as he is aren't I?" Tandy suddenly stopped walking again and looked around.
"No you're not," Sue countered slipping an arm around Tandy to give her a one armed hug, "you're human. After everything he put you though no-one can blame you for that. Besides, you didn't kidnap anyone, especially your family, and try to use them in a ritual to summon something so I think we can safely say he's waaay worse than you ever could be. So, the hot surfers don't do it for you huh? So who would you like to see there? Maybe a certain tall dark handsome European prince we know?"
"Still I can't believe I related to someone who would do that." Tandy rarely talked about her family or what had happened. Sue was one of the very few that Tan was open to talking to about it. "Huh? What about Namor? We went on one date. That is it. One." Tandy snapped back to look at her friend to continue looking but something felt off. "I feel like someone is watching us..."
Spite adjusted her sunglasses slightly watching her targets. With a little smirk she raised her coffee mug to her lips to cover it, powers activating. Now the fun was going to begin. Taking the sip, she felt things shift just....there. Enough to accomplish her purpose. All she needed to do now was wait, really. With luck, they would do what she wanted without her needing to step in.
Tandy eyes glossed over and her fists balled. A dark feeling was boiling up inside of her that came out of nowhere. Tan wanted to hurt someone and it was directed over to the blonde next to her. "Are you jealous of who I date? Or is that your daddy won't approve? And they say I have daddy issues."
Sue burst out laughing letting her arm slip away from Tandy as she took a few paces forward and turned to face the other girl, "Jealous of who you date? Really?" she asked coldly, an angry malicious feeling settling on her. "Who on earth would feel jealous of you? You're like the only girl at the mansion who hasn't been asked out on a date in a year. You even had to pay for Namor to go on a date with you." the petite blonde smirked, "That's just a little pathetic Tan."
"At least I don't throw myself around like a whore. Couldn't get it with Matt so you went to Maddie. Was he that bad you had to turn to a girl?" Tandy's crescent moon started to form around her right eye.
"That the best you got?" Sue arched an eyebrow before shaking her head sadly, "you can't win with words so what, you're gonna attack me now infront of all these people? You know what, I take it back, you're just like your dad aren't you Tandy?" she asked turning her back on the other girl.
Tandy gritted her teeth before she moved to attack Sue as a dagger started to form in her hand.
Sue span around quickly stepping closer to Tandy her hand flicking out as a forcefield appeared around Tandy's wrist, a drop of blood falling to the ground where the forcefield and split the skin on Tandy's wrist. "Uhuhuh you wouldn't wanna go doing something like using your powers like that in public and disappoint everyone at the mansion, well at least disappoint them more."
Tandy winced as her wrist started to bleed. "And yet you drew first blood." Tan arched her other free arm up to give Sue a good punch.
"Just defending myself, and stopping you going too far," Sue noted coldly, pulling Tandy's forcefield covered hand towards her before letting the forcefield dissipate to throw the other girl off balance as she stuck out her foot to trip Tandy as she stumbled forward.
It was in that moment when Tandy regained her own mind but it was too late as she came forward and hit her head hard on a bench behind Sue. Her vision blurred before there was nothing but darkness.
The wet thump of Tandy's head as it impacted was the first sound Sue heard as the mists cleared and the urge to lash out and hurt her friend dissipated as quickly as it had appeared. "Tandy? Oh god." Sue span around her eyes widening at the sight of her unmoving friend, " Please don't be dead." The blonde whispered as she sank to her knees next to her friend reaching out hesitantly to check on her, her minds a-wash with confusion, she'd done this, been the one who had attacked her best friend, only she couldn't for the life of her remember why she'd just suddenly been so annoyed she'd had to lash out. And now Tandy was lying there and it was her fault.
Perfect, this was just what she wanted. Approaching, she feigned concern, "Is she alright?" Spite asked, kneeling down to check on the unconscious girl. "Here, I'll help you move her out of the way," she suggested, moving with the other girl to a more quiet place out of the way. That made knocking her unconscious that much easier.
"Thank you," Sue gave the woman a grateful smile, "She hit her head on the bench, I think she's ok but we need to get her to a hospital," Sue explained as she reached for her phone glancing down at Tandy with a worried look. "I should call an ambulance."
"I'm sure there's already one on the way," Spite replied, "someone else would have called," she used the distraction of the girl on her cell phone to quickly pull out the syringe of sleepy juice and jabbing it in Sue's leg. There. That would knock both girls out. Just in case, she gave a dose to the other one as well.
Sue's eyes shot wide open, her phone slipping from her now nervous fingers as she turned to give the lady a betrayed llok as she felt a different, heavy, cloud fogged up her mind. She opened her mouth but couldn't work her tongue anymore, managing only a unintelligible mumble as she slumped over next to Tandy darkness claiming her as she slipped into unconsciousness.
