X-Men Mission: Avengers vs X-Men: Falcon and Vision 3

Dust finds herself alone standing against the Vision.

Everett had just taken away Falcon to receive medical care, leaving Dust a moment to catch her breath. However, almost forgotten, the green and red figure called 'Vision' emerged through the solid concrete.

"I have scrambled primary defensive systems. Triskalion is open for direct assault." He said over what appeared to be their comms. All of the other X-Men were engaged, leaving only Dust in the position to challenge him.

"I would not say open for direct assault." Sooraya commented idly from where she was standing. "There is still me to get past. I wish you much success." With those words she shifted once more and hovered between the being and the Triskalion.

"I don't wish to eliminate you, but I will if I need to." A beam of white hot energy shot from the gem in the centre of his forehead, and part of her cloud exploded as the waves of heat cut through her mass and the distortion pulled some of her apart.

Her practice with Everett had made her far quicker in pulling herself together. At the same time she dove down, a tendril lashing out and forming a massive cuff around the creature's ankle. She continued diving down, pulling him with her.

Unfortunately, like a fish on a line, she came to the end of her extension and was suddenly struggling against his strength, which was considerable. He pulled back for a long moment, making her strain, and then, he disappeared. Not from sight, but her hold suddenly slipped through his neck and her effort sent her hurtling down.

She managed to bring herself to a halt quickly though and rose up again, her agitation clear in the way the various particles of sand were moving around furiously even within the cloud. The creature seemed intend on his goal though, paying no interest in the situation behind him... 'I am never gonna be able to to beat him on my own, but I can keep him busy...' With that thought, she lashed out with one sharp tendril, whacking him in the back of his head to get his attention.

"Particulates. It is an interesting crutch. But, I fear you have been out matched." He seemed to dim, as if he was a film character being faded out. She couldn't get any kind of grip on him as he lanced out hot beams at her.

Well, she had his attention. Now to keep it on her. And he was phasing, so any of her usual attacks would not work. The heat from the beams was not hot enough to hurt, but it was uncomfortable. The particles of her sandform moved quicker and quicker, as Sooraya worked to find a solution, in the mean time just sending out tendril of sharp sand in a mimic of an attack.

Suddenly her attention was caught by what seemed to be a small electrical current running through one of the tendrils, soon followed by another one. It seemed more intense where the heat of the beam was. The particles moved quicker and quicker, vibrating against each other and she waited for the creature to become visible again.

Vision appeared solid once more, but now the air around him was shimmering with the glow from the crystal on his forehead. He'd moved from the heat beam to an aura around his body that was growing steadily stronger and hotter.

The glow could not be good and even for her sandform there was a limit to the amount of heat it could withstand. Besides, small trails electricity crackled past the tendrils as the static electricity built and built. So Sooraya rushed forward and wrapped herself around vision. As soon as multiple small tendrils touched the creature, an electric shock ran through him.

The electricity froze the figure in place, trapping him in phase as she wrapped herself around him.

Sooraya kept him surrounded and not wanting to take the time to figure out how she could 'stop' him, she instead propelled herself forward as fast as she could. She hurried away from the Triskalion as far as she could before he would phase again. Her only hope was to create as much distance as possible...

Just had less than a minute before her sand around him collapsed as he phased away. They were now over the river, a short distance away from Triskalion. "I am growing impatient."

Fighting him was not gonna work, so she went down another track and a very long and slender tendril wrote a sentence into the air in curly, connecting letters. 'Why hurt them?'

"The evil they represent is calculable. They must be stopped."

The slender tendril changed, forming a new sentence. 'Why evil? What have they done?' That was one thing Sooraya never liked was that she was unable to communicate vocally in her sandform.

"They seek to undermine the world order and replace it with their own rule. And they are quick to kill any who challenge them."

'Not on my watch.' The tendril formed it's last sentence before withdrawing and Sooraya once more took her place between Vision and Triskalion. She would not let him pass.
