Angelo and Molly: Costume Shopping (backdated)

Molly and Angelo go costume shopping.
Molly took a sip from her boba straw as she and Angelo made their way down the street. The leaves were in the middle of turning, giving flashes of reds and oranges amid the standard green "Okay so I'm thinking I could have like....a day time costume and then a night time costume," she said, grinning broadly. "I mean the day time one would like....totally be subtle like a casual cosplay, y'know?" She bit her lip, the excitement practically radiating from her. "Oh man Jello, I'm so excited!" Angelo grinned at her. "Then why make the daytime one subtle if you don't want to? Go all in." Molly tapped her chin. "I like the way you think, stretchy man," she said, linking arms with him. "Let's do it!" she said with a grin back. "Are you gonna dress up too?" "I hadn't really thought about it", he admitted, "but I probably will. You gonna help me choose?" Nudging Angelo with her shoulder, Molly smirked. "Do you even gotta ask" she said, then spread her arms out fancifully. "Molly Hayes, Costume Curator at your service." The costume shop, Hallow-scene, was easily visible up ahead, flanked by life sized dolls of Michael Myers and Batman on either side of the entrance. "So do you wanna be like....fun or scary?" Molly said. "Probably more fun", Angelo decided. "I can add my own scary." Molly slapped her hands together. "Maaaarvelous," she said, then tapped her chin as she opened the door. "Okay...that knocks some stuff out. What about...classic or current? Like, do you wanna be a ghost or like..Lil Nas X in the Montero video?" "You mean with the angel wings?" He considered. "I could go with that but it sounds complicated." Grinning, Molly strolled inside, looking giddily at all the costume wear. "C'mon, when has Angelo Espinosa ever run from a challenge?" "There is that." Angelo grinned back at her. "I can handle a few straps, I guess." Arching a brow, Molly burst into a series of giggles. "Sorry, I'm twelve," she said. She picked up a costume, tilting her head. "Why does everything for women have to be like sexy? What if I don't want to be a sexy bee? What if I just want to be a bee?" "I think if you just want to be a bee, you probably have to make your own", he said with a grin. "Or get that one and add bits to it." "But that's not the point, Jello!" Molly said. "Not everyone wants to be sexy on Halloween, y'know? They should make less revealing costumes. It's dumb." "I guess not enough people buy them... or the companies think they wouldn't. Maybe you could do a survey or a petition to prove them wrong." Molly grinned brightly. "Good idea!" she said, whacking him (gently) on the shoulder. "You're awesome, dude. You know that? I mean...you're already awesome but you're extra awesome." "I live to serve", he said, grinning back. "And I happen to know quite a bit about how to convince companies it's in their best interests to change something." Arching a brow, Molly gave Angelo a sneaky smile. "Mwhaha. Sounds like a plan." She then pointed at a costume of Wednesday Addams. "How about this? It'll go with my new hair." "That could work", he agreed. "What brought the new hair on, anyway?" Molly petted the side of her head. "I wanted it to look cool for spooky season. But now I kinda love it. You like?" she smiled hopefully. "You bet I do", he said sincerely (although he would have said the same whatever it looked like, of course). She eyed him, then smiled. "Really?" she said, biting her lip. "Cool! I mean I love it but I trust you to tell me if Iook like a weirdo." “Really. I promise.” He grinned at her. But anyway, as long as you love it, who cares if you look like a weirdo? Nobody that matters.” Squinting thoughtfully, Molly slowly nodded. "Touche," she said, tapping her temple. "I like the way you think, stretchy man," she said, linking her arm through his. "Come on! Let's go look at stuff."
