NOT ANOTHER TEEN DIMENSION - Theatre Kids
Jay and Inez talk to one of the theatre kids.
"Any ideas on what was goin' on on your end yet?" Inez asked, thumbs looped through the straps of her backpack that hung in place over her shoulders. Why she'd packed so many books and homework for the weekend was... well, it was probably sensible for a lot of people, but it left her shaking her head, between her own background and the impending stakes for this universe and its inhabitants.
"Maybe we can ask around, see if anyone knows anythin'?" she whispered to Jay, looking around the corridor and keeping an eye out for any other students that may be coming towards them from the other end of the hall.
Melissa shook her head. "I was at rehearsal. 'Freddy, My Love' is kicking my ass right now." She said with a grin. She's missed on out Rizzo, but had landed Marty instead and was determined to make the most out of it.
"Hah, yeah, that's a tough one for sure, but y'gonna nail it," Inez said with a confident nod. "Just gotta rehearse the heck outta it... y'had rehearsals earlier, yeah?" she asked. "Gotta be hard keepin' up with that on top of school work and classes an' all," she mused.
"It is. I was trying to cram for the science test before rehearsal and I left my backpack in there after fifth period science. I was running late and didn't want Miss Lynne to yell at me."
"But y'got in after?" Inez pressed. "Did y'have t'get some help with that? I reckon it wouldn't be easy t'just break into a locked room or somethin'," she said with a chuckle, trying her best to prod Melissa for further information.
"Oh yeah, the door was locked. I saw Mister Toynbee and he let me in." She said. "Oh, I saw him talking to Mr Banner when I left. I guess the basketball game must have ended by then." She said brightly before hurrying away.
