Hand Me Down: Epilogue

Saturday evening: Jamie wakes up, and the medical staff kindly allows him a moment with Kitty before descending in force.  Talk about Skippy quickly turns into a whole other conversation, and Jamie ends up trying, not wildly successfully, to help Kitty deal with one of her issues rather than the other way around.

With apologies to Peter David.

And one surprise guest star. )

Sometime late Saturday Night

A pair of boots show up at the foot of Jubilee's dorm room door.

Sunday afternoon: Jamie and Catseye

After a nice leisurely ride, Jamie finds himself in an introspective mood and retreats to the hayloft--where the mansion's newest resident finds him, and they deal with his mood using the time-honored traditions of "petting the cat," "talking to the cat," and "playing with the cat."  They then adjourn to feed the cat.

Because, after all, it is all about the cat. )

Sunday afternoon, Alex and Lorna discuss Jamie.

And then they are fluffy and schmoopy. Yes, that’s two ways to say aggressively adorable. Yes, we know that shocks you from these two. Try to cope.

Put my hands around your shoulder You’re saying you’re scared is all )

A cornucopia of logs...

[Alison, Forge] Freedom is a brand new synthsilk suit...

Sunday. Set after this log but before Paige makes it to the medlab. During the time Al's portion of the medlab was empty. It happens! So, with Forge's help, Alison suits up to finally step out of the isolation room for the first time since the shopping trip.

Suddenly he realized that Alison had spent almost a week in utter, complete silence. )

[Alison, Haroun] Look but don't touch...

Sunday, after Haroun 'talks' to Nathan and this thread in the staff post and the rest of the fuss. Alison is escorted up to her new room by Haroun and settles in for the evening. She remains entirely unaware of events in the mansion for the most part, since the shopping trip. Except for the stuff with Jamie - boy does she know about that.

Like a boy scout, she thought, only so very not. )

[Alison, Wanda] ~ Apologies not needed but gifts are always good...

Sunday, very late evening, after Alison has returned to the medlab for the night. Wanda drops by for a visit, bringing a gift for Alison which is very well received indeed.

It was her the end of her first day of 'freedom' and she'd enjoyed it as much as possible, despite the pain and in spite of the fact that she was now in the medlab for further observation. )

[Alison, Terry] I'll sing thee a lullaby...

Terry comes down to visit Alison in the wee hours of the morning, suffering from insomnia. The night light with the no sleeping at all type schedule is more than glad for the company.

Terry was looking downright offended and possibly about to go hit whoever was to blame expect that there wasn't really anyone for her to hit. )

Nathan, Jono, explosion in the basement

Sarah leaves, Jono makes wrong choices, Nathan tries to tell him to stop. It's all a vicious cycle. Which, in the end, goes boom.

Your mind - part of your mind is somewhere else. )

Paige and Angelo, Paige and Madelyn - Sometimes, you just fall down

Because clearly there haven't been enough loud noises tonight... Angelo comes over to ask Paige a question. Paige freaks out. Five Kleenex warning, don't say I didn't tell you.

Thought I was lost but I was stranded / To my surprise the sky had landed... )

Paige, having had the shock driven out of her, makes her way down to the medlabs, probably not for the reason you'd expect. Maddie is there to greet her.

So I fall / I don't wanna feel this small / You know that I can't handle this, handle this at all... )

Angelo, Amanda - Sunday night

Angelo, understandably, isn't in the best shape after this 'talk' with Paige, and heads for the flyer's platform. Amanda joins him up there.

Promises to keep, and many miles before I sleep. )
