They sit for a while and talk about the wedding, travel and Angelo's plans post-graduation.
Angelo was hanging around near the buffet table, ignoring the suspicious looks from some of Moira's elderly relatives, plate of food in hand. He grinned as he saw Nathan making his slow way around the room, and headed to intercept him.
"Well, you look more than moderately spiffy," Nathan greeted him with a smile. "Having a good time?"
"Yeah, I am. Don't think I'm so much of a suit person, but for a day, it's not so bad."
"It's kind of interesting, seeing how well you all clean up," Nathan teased. "And you do all clean up well."
Angelo laughed. "Thanks. I think."
"Oh, that was definitely a compliment," Nathan said, spotting a free chair and immediately sitting down in it. Time to rest the back for a few minutes.
Angelo grabbed another chair and dragged it over. "So how're you doin'? Ceremony over now an' all?"
"I'm holding up," Nathan said cheerfully. "Getting a little tired, I have to admit. This is the most I've moved around for a while, obviously..."
"Ah well. It'll be time to head back soon enough."
"For you guys," Nathan said with a chuckle. "Moira and I are off first thing in the morning for our honeymoon, remember. Although don't worry - we'll be back for exams."
"Where're you goin', again?"
"Tuscany. The Chianti Valley," Nathan said, thinking of the pictures he and Moira had pored over on the internet. He suspected that beautiful as they were, they didn't do the place justice. "Actually, staying in another castle. Little different from this one," he said with a smile.
"Sounds nice", Angelo said, grinning. "Never been to Italy, myself."
"You need to see a little more of the world, you know," Nathan said thoughtfully. It was something he'd been thinking about off and on for a while now, when his mind turned to Angelo.
"I wouldn't mind", Angelo admitted with a rueful grin. "Never really got the chance, though."
"Should arrange something," Nathan murmured, more to himself than anything else as he relaxed in the chair. "Ah, well. Thoughts for a little later, I suppose."
Angelo grinned. "Got plenty of time. Maybe after I graduate."
"Yes, the whole graduation thing needs to come first," Nathan said with a chuckle. "But after." Definitely after. He'd have to come up with something...
"Sounds good." A broad smile. "Been sendin' in applications for police academies."
"I'd offer you references, but, well..." Nathan grinned at Angelo's laugh. "You've got time, in any case, between when that would start and graduation. Last gasp of freedom and all?" Or first, maybe, in Angelo's case.
"A few months at least", Angelo agreed cheerfully. "Time enough."
