This is set last night before my Dad's computer went wonky. Dani goes to visit Dr. McCoy with food and is very, very glad to see him well again.

You know, Henry is a fine name for a boy. Even if Forge has taken an entirely unreasonable dislike to it. )

Players: Hank and Betsy.
Time: Sunday evening, 11 p.m.
Subject: After Hank has recovered from his illness and gotten some well-needed rest, he takes some time to visit the resident recluse.

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars. )

While Hank is making the rounds, Madelyn is seeing Infectia packed off to the FBI. Scott comes down to find her well and truly sagging, and gets her to bed.

Think I deserve tucking in. Saved the day and everything, just with my brain. )

A big bunch o' logs! Hank is well again, and there are lots of people to see and reassure... and they're all hugging him! He likes this trend, and hopes it continues.

***

Madelyn is waiting at Hank's bedside when he wakes up, anxious to be sure he's okay. He's very okay, and very happy to be back.

I even feel equal to a little light surgery... well, I will once I've had some food and coffee. )

Scott is Hank's first stop, and they both get a little emotional. Hank confesses his interest in a certain lovely lady doctor.

Beautiful, brilliant, AND armed. What more could one ask in an angel? )

Forge finds out that Hank is well again... and finds out what it was that got him into this mess in the first place

...all this mess... over a girl? )

Hank stops, on the way to his room, to let Miles know that he's okay. Miles is thrilled, and blames cooties for Hank's illness. In a way, he's right.

The ordinary kind, you know, will do no greater harm than a Major Grossout, but EVIL Cooties will make you very ill. )

Amanda heads upstairs to make sure Remy's okay. Considering that statement and the people involved, it takes a long talk to even start figuring out the damage.

Dat Bartlett, 'tween sucking lemons and surgically removing de last bits of her sense of humour, was eying me, Remy think )

After Amanda stitches Remy up, Lorna tracks him down to ensure that he's all right. She feeds him soup and turns down a marriage proposal. She also tries to convince him that he isn't the man he was. He asks her to hold onto some things for him and she is rather perturbed.

big ghosts wit' de dripping claws and dose special effects like in de movies... wit' mind lasers. )

Madelyn's investigations of Hank's mystery date have lead to a dead end. There's one person who can help: some things are more important than personal differences.

Go after a possible dangerous mutant with no evidence of her wrong doing with de intent of making her admit to her crime? Wouldn't dat be illegal? )

Investigations lead to a hotel, and the mystery woman. She's not exactly super-villain material, but that doesn't make her any the less dangerous.

If you want me to help your friend, you'd better not be mean to me. )

Backdated to Friday the fourth, Jubilee is still upset about the whole nude-photos debacle, and goes down to visit the one person who probably doesn't know a thing about it. They talk, and do what they can to comfort each other.

We'll do it at night then, an I can show you the stars. )
[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com
Forge stops by to see Hank, and is shocked at how much he's deteriorated since the last time they talked. He tries to be encouraging, and so does Hank, although neither of them are really sure that there's a happy ending in store.

So you're not going to let this beat you, because I need to keep learning from you, you understand? )

Tuesday night, Madelyn keeps Hank company. She manages to get a little more information about the disastrous date, and gets asked a rather personal question.

Lots of little Hanks, all sugar high. Imagine Charles' reaction. )

Madelyn, having been elbow-deep in cyborg bits all morning, has some questions to ask a certasin Cat. Thank goodness for emergency jerky.

Madelyn heard the yowl and raised her eyebrows. That was one unhappy cat. )

Hank comes to find Haroun to discuss taking care of Alison. The two talk past each other for the most part, but come to an agreement in the end. Set Monday around lunchtime.

Islam taught that the mad were to be respected and pitied, and right now, Hank qualified. )
[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com
Dani stops by to try to cheer Hank up, and gets cheered up a bit herself. Hank gets to feel the baby kicking.

Me an' Forge will break his head. )
[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com
Hank is deteriorating fast, and he can't even read to Miles when he comes to visit. Instead they play with Lego, and talk about Alison, both trying to put on a brave front for the other. When Alison comes to pick Miles up, she joins in the Being Brave... at least until Hank can't see.

Miles and I say so. So it has to be. )
[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com
Scott comes to visit Hank. He tries, but Hank can't keep up the brave face any longer, and Scott discovers just how hard this is for Hank, and what might happen if he doesn't get better.

But I can't fight. I can't do anything! )

Set yesterday. Doug comes by to visit Hank and pick up the lesson plans for the CompSci class he and Kitty are handling. He shoots the breeze with Hank, and discusses an independent study project idea that he's doing for the university. Unfortunately, in his enthusiasm, he has his monthly case of foot-in-mouth-itis (maybe Hank can whip up a cure for that when he gets better...). Hank is a little brusque, Doug realizes his mistake and apologizes before heading out.

And the college is going to give me a _grade_ for this. Man, do I have _them_ snowed... )

Wound far too tight by trying to put on a brave face for everyone, Hank goes down to the gym to work off some of his frustration on the heavy punching bag. Kyle encounters him there, and manages to, briefly, entirely distract him.

people are mostly okay with you being hyperactive if you're running around giggling and handing out candy. )

As soon as she's able, Moira stops by Hank's room to share hugs and chocolate. They're worried and scared but the comforting presence of an old friend always helps.

Home for good. )

Ororo takes it upon herself to make sure Madelyn gets some sleep. It's not an easy task, but this is the woman who flies in tornadoes...

Immoveable object, irresistable force. )
