While Rahne makes some more connections and manages to advance Elpis's work in this part of Africa, Nathan, Ororo and Angelo plan the evening's 'festivities'.
Released from the medical clinic, Rahne settles in at the guest house, and is somewhat surprised to meet T'Challa's mother, who expresses interest in what Elpis does. (As she's the Wakandan Minister of Education, this may be more than just idle curiosity.) Later, T'Challa and Nathan indulge in some wary circling and moderate snark.
A quiet night at the village is shattered by gunfire, and the Elpis group finds themselves fighting to protect the civilians who took them in - with help from an unexpected quarter. Unfortunately, the fight doesn't go well at all for one member of the group.
Rahne shows up at the boathouse to do some work and finds Nathan reading the letters he brought back from San Francisco. Sometimes what you need to move on is simple, other times it's more complicated. The only important thing is finding it.
