Betsy and Kane talk during the Christmas party at Harry's.

Called to North Africa by X-Force, the X-Men start with a bit of recon - Blink and Psylocke team up to scope out the compound.

( Villainous Decor R Us. )

Considering what they're facing, the X-Men go in for shock and awe, with Dominion and ~~Marvel Girl~~ Phoenix as the Shock.

( TK-directed flash grenade. That's all kinds of nasty in my head. )

Next up is Team Awe - Colossus and Nightcrawler, who literally drop into the ritual.

( Just be cautious, gunfire tends to ricochet off of my body. I'd hate to have to patch you up. )

Once Colossus and Nightcrawler are done clearing out the bad guys, Blink, Pyslocke and Spectrum come in to free the victims of the ritual.

( Magic was just... too much and she wasn't messing with it for anything. )

Faced with something not of this world, the rest of the team comes in to help rescue efforts. And find a surprise.

Nica and Lorna team up with a fossil. Oh, and Captain America is there too.

Kurt and Betsy maybe impress Yelena just the littlest bit. She's difficult like that.

( As amateurish as they could sound, they did have training. And were able to work together. )

Logan, Clarice, and Arthur engage in the sort of hijinks that only seem to happen when Longshot is around.

Jean-Phillipe and Sooraya are near a museum when there is a literal "from your mouth to god's ears" type of moment. Well, a god. Of thunder.

Bobby and Kyle wind up at Under Armour HQ. There is hockey, and Hulk wants to make friends with Mr. Trash Wheel.

Scott and Angelo wind up at the Museum of Industry. With a billionaire industrialist.

( I don't know what physics defying powers you can pull out of your asses. )

Kitty and Alex fight giant crabs playing bait and switch - Kitty leads a crab into the line of fire, phases, and Alex blasts right through her to hit and fry the crab. Or more accurately blows it to bits. Either way, seafood might be ruined for awhile.

( Maybe we need, uh, a net. Or a giant pot. )

Alison and Terry break into Oriole Park, hack the sound system and destroy an absolutely astounding number of crabs. Why are the crabs in the stadium? Because they're really not very smart.

( I absolutely meant to do that. Good job me. )

X-Men vs Crabs, Round One! The city is seeing a wave of scaly attackers, and the X-Men arrive to start fighting them back.

Wildchild and Echo wrangle crabs with nets, and then get an upgrade to the fire hose.

( If you turn this into some kind of lesson I'm going to throw you in the ocean where you belong. )

Spectrum and Psylocke steam and stab some crabs and talk a little crab-brain-science.

( I just hope you had your Wheaties today, because we're going to be pretty damn busy. )

Cyclops and Dazzler make with the zap zap laser beams versus crabs… with tactics.

( Can you do something to buy me a few seconds to try something new? Otherwise they're just gonna keep wearing us down. )

Wolverine, Blink and Dust cooperate to herd crabs right into a killbox.

( I mean...I am willing to die eating my weight in sushi. )

Bevatron and Nightcrawler are nearly overrun while defending Mr Trash Wheel before help arrives.

( You know, the metaphors of a happy faced creature who lives down on the docks and funnels literally any trash though its mouth is a little on the nose, even for Baltimore. )

Outside the club, Sooraya, Nica, Betsy and Maya face the task of stopping the Cartel from going into the club to reinforce their people inside, while getting the clientele out.

Wanda, Callisto and Matt take the inside of the club to provide back up and wind up helping with an evacuation.

Trapped in Olivier’s hell dimension, Brand and her team fight for their lives.

In the midst of the fight, the ‘SWORD’ agents arrest the Secret Empire “bikers” to save their covers with the Cartel watching.

The leader of the Huns does exactly what he’s supposed to do - leads his people and the Cartel men back to the warehouse where the guns have been taken.

( Huns coming from the front and the real bad guys coming in from the sides. )

Taking on the first wave, Wanda and Callisto enjoy themselves far too much.

( We're trying for no deliberate kills this time, remember? Nonlethal maiming only, if you don't mind. )

Nica and Wanda pivot from the bikers to the more professional Cartel soldiers.

( We know they're coming, so hopefully we can set up a nice welcome party for them. )

Taking on some of the Cartel, Maya potentially breaks the X-Men’s cardinal rule.

( You finished yours too quickly. They ran away. )

Brand and her team arrive to make their arrests.

( Deploy on hostiles. Remember, we want retreat, not arrests. )

Kyle and Sooraya take on the flanking Cartel people, and Kyle is definitely not himself. Or perhaps he’s too much of himself?

( Pretty sure they deserve worse than concussions and stitches. )

Garrison and Betsy multitask by taking on Cartel soldiers and bantering.

( Just because you look better in a thong, I get the broken nose. )

Gabriel and Jean get down to business.
