Meggan and Nathan have a short rest together, and are both pretty.
Dancing was fun, but Meggan was getting kind of tired. So when she saw Nathan sitting down, she decided that that was a good idea. She would go sit with Nate.
She headed over, resting her paw on his knee and smiling up at him. "Hi!" she said, holding up her arms hopefully. "Up?" Nathan was nice to snuggle with, especially when he was tired and happy like he was now.
"Hey, you," Nathan said with a chuckle, lifting her easily into his lap. She seemed tired; he could sympathize. Between his own increasing fatigue and what was bouncing down the link from Moira, he wasn't feeling particularly lively himself. It was a pleasant sort of fatigue, though. Well, except for the aching back.
"You look so pretty today," he complimented her whimsically.
"Meggan PINK," she said happily, smoothing the shiny, rustly skirt of her party dress. "Nathan pretty," she added, smiling and snuggling up. "Skirt colours!" Everyone looked pretty today, they were all dressed up and happy.
"Very pink," Nathan said approvingly. "It's a good color for a little girl." She seemed to be handling all the people and the excitement really well; he was glad.
"Pretty." She rested her head against his shoulder. "People happy," she told him, looking out at the gathered crowd. "Nice." Being around so many happy people felt really nice... sort of warm and flowy.
"Yeah, they are." Interesting mix of happy people, Nathan thought with a chuckle, and everyone was behaving themselves, which was good to see. "I think you're getting tired, though..."
"Little tired," Meggan conceded. "No bedtime!" It wasn't late enough to be bedtime yet, and she didn't want to go to bed. Manda was still having fun, anyway, and she'd go to bed if Meggan did.
"You need to go have more cake," Nathan said wisely. "That would keep you awake."
"No cake. Dirty." She'd gotten so very sticky last time, and she didn't want to get anything on her nice dress. Manda had said she could have cake tomorrow instead, when it didn't matter if she got dirty.
"Always cake tomorrow," Nathan murmured, again oddly whimsical, and shook his head.
She reached up to pat his cheek, smiling at him. "Nate happy," she said softly. "Moira happy. Baby happy. Happy good."
He smiled down at her. "Happy good," he agreed firmly, and turned his attention back to the dancing.
