Medusa shows Nathan what she's done with her hair for the trip. Nathan gives her a new passport, and shocks her to the core by telling her that she can only take one bag with her to Prague.

"... you are possibly having entirely too much fun with this," Nathan said severely, his lips twitching suspiciously as he regarded the now black-haired Medusa. "Please tell me you've done this before? The dying, I mean. Because given how unusual your hair is, its reaction to dye may be somewhat unusual..."

Medusa twirled a strand of her newly darkened hair in the air, smiling at him serenely. "There is no such thing as too much fun with one's hair, though I have learned from experience the proper way to dye it. Luckily, I was able to cut off the damaged part and regrow some to allow the stylist to try again." Her hair dropped down, settling at her shoulders. "Plus, it will now coordinate with my costume for this Halloween event that my sister has told me about, so it serves a dual purpose."

"Good thing our flight is not until quite late," he said more amiably. "It'll let you make at least a brief appearance at the party." He leaned forward, pulling something out from under a pile of folders on one side of his desk. "Your passport, Madam. If anyone at the airport asks, you dyed your hair on a whim at some point after you had the picture taken." Medusa had kept her hair under very tight control for the picture - there wasn't anything visibly unusual about it.

She nodded before reaching out to take the passport, marveling at how authentic it looked. Medusa was so distracted by all the details that it took her a moment to open it and read the alias she would be travelling under. "Scarlet Capelli," she said, a peal of laughter slipping out before she composed her face into a smile. "Oh Nathan, you have an utterly fantastic sense of humor."

"Really? The person who made that told me my sense of humor was terrible." Mac'd had a few other choice things to say about him sneaking a royal into Prague on a fake passport, but had still delivered the passport fairly promptly. "Although had I known you were going to dye your hair..." He paused teasingly, but then went on, more briskly. "You'll need to be very careful about answering to Scarlet when we're in public."

"Then I suppose mine is terrible as well...which I have actually heard before, so it is entirely possible." Her face returned to it's usual expression as she set the passport on the desk, though there was still the hint of a smile. "I shall do my best. It is helpful that the name is easy to remember."

"That was the thought. The pun was just for fun." Nathan offered her a piece of paper, a single printed sheet. "List of suggestions for packing. We're going to need to travel as light as possible, because of the extra gear. Cameras and supplies and the like."

"I see," she said, scanning the page quickly. "I will have to make some adjustments." She stilled the protest in her mind that she needed more than what was on the list, not wanting him to regret his decision to allow her to come with Elpis.

"Just suggestions," Nathan said blandly. "Except for the things that are starred. And, of course, that you need to fit it all in the one bag."

Medusa nodded, not trusting herself to speak. At least he had not said what size the bag could be. She would have to pack very creatively to insure that she could fit everything she considered necessary for her daily living.

This was going to be a learning experience for her, Nathan suspected -and very carefully did not smile.
