After Kyle blows up at Angel, Julio finds his girlfriend in tears.  Once he gets the story out of her, it's a good thing Kyle is still far, far away.  Thankfully, he channels that into something else...cheering up Angel as best he can.

Angel ran through the hallways, barely able to see where she was going through the tears streaking down her face.   Thankfully there weren't many people around and she knew the way to her room by heart.  She sobbed, brushing at her face as she turned the corner.  All she wanted to do was get to her room and cry.

Julio wasn't exactly paying attention to where he was going.  He frowned at the book he was trying to read, but the letters kept going all swirly.  Kyle hadn't locked the door but the tension had been so palpable that he'd decided to just go ahead and sleep on the couch anyway.  It, for lack of a better word, sucked.

But he wasn't so sleep-deprived as to miss Angel as she came swinging around the corner crying.  He held out an arm and halted her, catching her before she could fall off-balance.  "Angel, ay, what happened?  Why are you crying?"

She looked up at him and burst into even more tears, burrowing her head in his shoulder because if she looked at his face while Kyle's words ran through her head, she was going to die.  Blindly, she nudged him towards her suite because it was probably better than sobbing on him out in the hallway.  Less embarrassing, anyway.

Angel managed to get out "Kyle" and "jerk" through the tears, though.

Julio took the hint and wrapped an arm around her shoulder while steering her towards her suite.  He opened the door one-handed and let her in.  Thankfully no one else was there.   He wasn't too sure what to do with the crying girl, so he patted her back awkwardly.

"Angel?  What was it?  What did Kyle do?"

She took a gulp of fresh air and sniffled, leaning into the warmth of Julio.  "I went down to give him some clothes," Angel wailed.   "And he was all mean and grumpy which I was kinda expecting because of what happened.  But then he told me I was a pest and that I should go…go…"  She looked at Julio and blushed deep red, thankfully avoiding the embarrassed reaction of fire.  "ThatIshouldgoblowyou."

"He... he what?"  It took a few seconds to click to what Angel had said, not because he was shocked, but because he couldn't quite understand her.  "Blow?" Click.  Ah.

"I'm going to kill him," Julio growled. He was suddenly very, very angry.  It was one thing to be a dick and take it out on your friends, but to take it out on a girl?  Especially his girl?  "Seriously.  I will kill him.  Right now."

Even upset—or maybe because she was so upset—she knew that Julio probably meant that.  Or at least a great deal of smacking around.   Angel grabbed his hand.  "No, please.  It's bad enough he already saw me crying."  Her jaw clenched at that.  Crying was one thing; crying while hurt was totally another and she hated it.  "I don't want to give him any more satisfaction, you know?"  She wiped her eyes and sniffled, trying to will away the blush.

Julio awkwardly wiped away some of Angel's tears with his sleeve.  "Here, sit down."  he steered her to the couch and pulled out a couple of tissues, stuffing them in her hands.  He didn't sit, instead he began to pace.  "Where does he get off saying these things?  I will not go kill him, Angel, I promise, but-- ~of all the stupid fucking ass-headed-hole~" He paused, a muscle in his jaw twitching.  "I am not sure how falling six stories out of a building makes you a dick to your friends."

Using the tissues, Angel managed to get herself somewhat less waterfied.  She brought her legs up to her chest and clung to her knees.   "I dunno.  I mean, I was just trying to be helpful and I've never heard him talk to anyone like that before!  Even when it was Tommy, you know, it was a different type of stupidness.  This was just outta left field.  Especially…that…comment."

It was a testament to Julio's strict adherence to the guy code that he did not voice his thoughts on why Kyle said that to Angel.  At least he hoped it wasn't out of jealousy.  He stopped his pacing and sat down next to Angel.  He was still tense from anger, but he put a hand on the girl's back and rubbed it gently.  "I have no idea what is going on with him either, and that makes me worried." Julio confided.

She leaned into him and sighed.  "I was expecting…something but not this, you know?" Angel said softly, no longer crying though her eyes would be red and puffy for a while to come.   "I, um, threw his clothes at him."  She didn't sound sheepish, just tired and angry.

"You should have set them on fire." Julio said solemnly.  "And quite possibly his bedsheets as well." His anger wasn't subsiding, but a small part of him was inwardly gleeful about his control.  As infuriated as he was, nothing was rattling or breaking.  Too bad it had to be tested over this.

Angel smiled a bit.  "I wanted to but I'm glad I didn't.  If I get mad at someone else and do that, and they don't have a healing factor…"   She shook her head.  "My powers are awesome but they're not exactly touchy friendly.  Stupid Kyle making me cry."

"Yes, yes stupid Kyle."  He patted Angel's head, less awkwardly now that she was not crying.  "I will not hurt him because you say so," he said again, "But I very much wish to punch his lights out.  Just so you know."

She thought about that for a second and then grinned at him.  "You're cute when you're all protective," she said, laughing as she scrubbed her face.   "Man, I must look totally frightening right now.  I'd better clean up before I scare Yvette."

Julio pffed.  "I still think you look hot, even when you are weepy and snot-covered."  But he nodded towards the bathroom.  "But washup.  I shall be here when you return."  He had no idea what else he was supposed to do now, but he figured that chocolate would somehow be involved.  When in doubt, girls loved chocolate.

True to form, Angel wiped her eyes again and said, "Maybe we should get chocolate sundaes after this."  She squeezed his hand—far too weepy and snot-covered to give him a kiss, that could wait until after washing up—before heading to the bathrooms.  "Thanks for calming me down."

"Anytime.  It is part of the job description, no?  In exchange for kisses I mop up tears."  Julio leaned back in the couch also privately vowed to give Kyle a good kicking when the time was right.  Stupid puto deserved it.

Despite still feeling down and depressed, she couldn't't help but giggle at Julio's words.  It was one of the reasons why she liked him so much.  He just made her feel better.  There was a slight flush on her face.  Though she was grateful they hadn't yet talked about what Kyle had said, exactly.  That was so being left to another day.

First, washing and then chocolate!
