Yvette comes by Ororo's classroom to apologize for missing class.

"Miss Munroe?"

The voice was hesitant, marked by a strong Albanian accent and came from the small girl who was peeking around the corner of the classroom door. Yvette had waited until Ororo's previous class had left - and such a rowdy, noisy leaving it was! she'd never get used to American classes - before approaching the teacher. She knew Miss Munroe had been one of the people to find her, and the fact made her a little in awe of her. Well, more in awe than she already was of someone so beautiful and regal.

Ororo looked up, a smile growing on her lips as she saw Yvette approaching her desk. "Yvette, hello. Come in, please." It had been a long day, but the white-haired woman always made it a policy to stay in the classroom as long as she could manage after classes in case any students needed to speak with her. It was only fair, after all, since at any other given point she could be unreachable in the basement, the hangar, or any of the other dozen places inaccessible to anyone who wasn't on the team. "How are you doing today?"

"I am being well, Miss Munroe. I am hoping you are well too?" Yvette asked politely, if still somewhat shyly. "I am coming to be saying sorry for to be missing the class. Sooraya and I are being helping Elpis and they are being so very busy now."

"Yes, I have heard. You do not need to worry, Yvette, as classes here tend to have a recurring trend of being interrupted. And because of that, we have learned to be flexible." Offering the girl another kind smile, Ororo beckoned for her to take a seat. "There is some work you have missed, yes, but I think it can easily be made up without too much trouble."

Climbing up to perch on the chair seat on her haunches, Yvette nodded, a tiny answering smile appearing. "Thank you, Miss Munroe. Miss Dane, she is saying we should be telling you first that we are missing the class, and I am being sorry to forget to tell you. I will be working very hard to be catching up." The smile grew. "I am very much the learning at Elpis, too. Miss Rahne is for to be giving me much practice with the English when I am helping."

"I can imagine so. I would think your out-of-class activities do just as much to contribute to your learning as your in-class work does. I am glad you have the opportunity to volunteer with Elpis; they are lucky to have you as well. Especially now, when they need all the help they can get."

"It is being small, what I am being able to do, but Miss Rahne and Miss Juliette are saying small is being important too." Yvette ducked her head bashfully. "I am happy to be helping. Elpis is being like the people who are helping me when I am being the small child, and it is being good that I can be doing the same."

Ororo tipped her head to one side thoughtfully, considering the girl's words. "I have noticed that a great many people here at the mansion feel motivated to do good acts because of the good things that have been done for them in the past. It is heartening to think that the good we do may encourage others to strive for better as well. One day you may touch someone's life and set off a chain of events that could improve the world in some way that is unimaginable to us now."

If Yvette could blush, her face would be aflame by now. As it was, her eyes glowed supernova blue, and she looked down at the floor. "I am not thinking that I am being changing the world," she said awkwardly. "I am just wanting to be helping the people. As much as I can be being." And with that she spread her long, clawed fingers, safely encased in their gloves.

"And that is the most important thing of all. I am glad you have found a way to do that, Yvette," Ororo said with another smile.
