Backdated. Tommy and Janet "talk" about being mutants. Warning: more chatspeak 4 u to suffer thru cuz I am teh evil! ;) Really it's because the log takes place while Jan still had to jump on keyboards. :)

It was really weird to walking down the hallway with something buzzing around your head, and Tommy had to put his hands in his pockets to stop from swatting at Janet. He'd gone to Terry's suite to get her so they could go back to his room and 'talk', since he was sure there was alot for them to talk about. "Don't you get tired?" He asked as he watched her buzz around, even though she couldn't answer.

Tommy deserved worse for not having come to see Janet right away, and for not allowing her to ride on his shoulder. The halls of Xavier's were a dangerous place for a tiny girl, and Janet didn't really want to be flying around them. Well, she'd sit on his head, just for that.

It hadn't occured to him to offer, not that he minded when she did sit on his head. As far as visiting, well, that had taken some courage he had to dig up outta somewhere. And make sure Alex and Shiro were at class. He hated how thin the walls were.

When they reached his room, he closed the door behind them and sat down at his desk. He moved a bunch of tools and jewelry scraps out of the way before booting up a word processor. "So..."

Messy. Jan looked at the scraps with interest, picking up one that was small enough to hold. She wondered if it could be pounded and made into glittery dust that she could fly around with, sprinkling on people's heads. Why couldn't she be Tinkerbell?

Considering she picked up a copper button, it couldn't. But if there was some sand about, Tommy could change it to silver or something else glittery. But that was besides the point. He looked down at her, not sure exactly what to say.

Ooh, the word processor was working. Jan jumped around on the keyboard. -wow tommy ur quiet. nothing 2 say 2 me-

"What do you want me to say Jan?" He sighed before he finally admitted, "God I'm glad to see you." A familiar face that he could trust, at least he hoped, was something from beyond his wildest dreams.

-that works. also, r u mad at me. i knew i was a mutant i didnt tell you i hung out and ur friends and dated u.-

Tommy chuckled. "No I'm not mad at you. And I understand what you did. I'm glad you didn't tell me then. But my outlook on that has...changed obviously." He said sadly as he looked down at his gloved hands.

Jan looked at Tommy and nodded sympathetically. She landed on one of his gloved hands, gave it a pat, then returned to her keyboard jumping. -i wear gloves 2 well when im big i do so i dont zap people when i dont want 2. what a pair we make huh.-

"No kidding," he said but he couldn't help a small smile. "How long have you known?"

The words quickly appeared on screen as Janet leapt from key to key.- 4 yrs for wings 3 for stings not that ive done much with then, mainly hiding. not safe at school or in the world. u know that.-

It suddenly hit him that he was one of the reasons she had had to hide. "Yeah I do. I'm sorry Jan."

The keyboard dance stopped for a few moments as Jan regarded Tommy, wishing she could actually speak to him. Typing was just words, true emotions were in facial expressions and the way you spoke, and with her tiny size she was out for the count on both of those. - hey, i meant u 2. i was lucky. wings grew no 1 saw i hid. stings started i wore gloves when no 1 would think it was odd and was careful the rest of the time. i knew. i was able to be safe. u shocked the hell out of every1, urself 2 im sure.- Ok, that was a lot of typing! Jan sat down near the keyboard, tired.

Watching the words appear, Tommy nodded along. And seeing her tired out, decided explanations could wait for later. Plus, he probably owed her some of his own. "You could say that. I'm sure you heard I was dead from Duncan and all them. They dumped me here, where I've been ever since. It took a while for me to get used to the idea of being a mutant. But I think I've finally wrapped my brain around it." He idoly picked up the necklace he was work on, weaving thread into delicate patterns before turning them into silver. Removing a glove, he carefully cut a small piece of thread, made it into a small semi circle and touched it, turning it to silver. This he carefully handed to Jan, as it was just big enough for a necklace for her. "My power isn't as interesting as yours though."

Ooh! A present! Jan took the newly crafted necklace from Tommy and put it on. She could type a response to what he'd just said, but that could be quite a long response and one better suited to be vocalized when she returned to full size. -thank u- was all she typed at first, then a moment later -dont put urself down. ur ok in my book.-

Tommy smiled, a real one. God, it was good to have someone he knew from before around. "Thanks Jan. I'm glad you're here."
