There is Hair, drinking, and a surprise for Jennie.

It had been a good swim, only slightly thrown by the fact the pool was larger than standard Olympic size. Marius heaved himself over the edge of the pool and shook his head rapidly, long hair whirling to spatter water across the white stones. It was totally unnecessary, but life was all about the small enjoyments.

Medusa adjusted her sunglasses to rest atop her hair, stretching languidly in her lounge chair. She was trying to perfect her tan before the party and despite the lovely weather, there weren't a lot of people taking advantage of the pool. "Did you have a good swim?" she asked the Australian who emerged from the crystal blue water.

Pushing the damp hair from his eyes, Marius turned to look at Medusa. She was attended, as usual, by her Hair. Right now a portion of it was holding what could be classed as nothing short of a frond, waving it gently at its mistress to cool her. The fact no appropriate plants were in immediate proximity suggested to Marius it had been acquired elsewhere solely for the purpose of conveying a very specific effect. This was Style, and one Marius approved of.

"My apologies, didn't see you there," the boy grinned, settling himself on the pool's edge. "Am I intrudin'? As terrible as it would be for me were there to emerge photographic evidence of myself an' a lady of royal persuasian in a state of less than complete dress I should not like to cause an Incident." He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Though one wonders, as you are soon to become princess would that be classifiable as treason? I've not done that one yet."

"I am hoping it is not on your to do list," Medusa said, her tone making it difficult as always to tell whether or not she was joking. "As for treason, I believe it is physical contact you need to avoid and truly if you made the decision to engage in that, treason would be the least of your worries." Gesturing to Marius, who was dressed in nothing but a speedo and his confidence, the redhead continued, "I know you have no shame, but I do not doubt that you are intelligent enough to know a good decision from a bad one. So yes, please do join me." As the last words left her mouth, her Hair finished arranging another lounge chair near the pair.

"Indeed, your chaperones provide both security and excellent service. Ta." Settling down on the lounge chair, Marius grinned and accepted a towel fetched and offered by another red tendril. He tossed it over his head and rubbed vigorously. "Quite the impressive flat," he said from beneath the cloth. "True class, as they say, is a state of mind, carried forever within oneself an' independant of accoutrament or attire. That said, carrying these qualities within the lap of luxury does not hurt."

"Well, as somebody once said, if you are going to do something, do it well." The tendrils that had arranged Marius's chair were now offering Marius a drink. "It is just good to be around somebody who appreciates true class."

"Of course. This, one assumes, is the very reason I was invited." Hair sufficiently dried, Marius hung the towel around his shoulders an accepted the drink. In addition to style Marius also approved of Attilan's lower age limit for drinking. "This is not at all a bad place to be for my first out-of-state debut. The fact that the invitation came from a trusted source, for example, I see as a considerable bonus. The possibility of bein' held ransom appears slim. Far too common, for a start."

"Yes, you Xavierites do seem to enjoy your kidnappings and random deadly encounters. Having participated in one, I should say I do not find myself impressed." Lowering her sunglasses to again cover her eyes, Medusa leaned her head back and smiled. "However, I suppose I can now come to the reunions, having been initiated and all."

"I did not particularly enjoy my own initiation, though it did have the benefit of not including circus performers an' gaudy neon. Havin' now some means of comparison I may safely conclude I much prefer those instances where I am the initiator of my own disappearance. My parents an' persons in authority rather less so, but you can't please everyone." Marius wondered idly if the Hair had mixed his drink as well as delivered it, and whether or not it would take requests. "A bit harder for you, I imagine. Queens disappearing tend to cause a bit of notice."

"I hear you caused a bit of a stir yourself. My own absence was duly missed amidst what people expected to be a debaucherous weekend on my part. The problem with having a bit of a reputation." Medusa lowered her empty glass, a tendril of hair refilling it from a pitcher. "Though I suppose my reputation may be changing with my elevation in status. It will be up to Crystal to keep the Amaquelin name in the papers."

"Ah, I was prone to sporadic disappearance long before my days of infamy at Xavier's, though to be fair my neglect of contact was more often due to personal carelessness. Alternately, extreme inebriation." He sighed and regarded the lip of his glass with regret. "Saddened as I shall be by your absences, perhaps now Crystal's social ventures will no longer be fraught with kidnappings or extinct creatures. Though these were in fact quite the minority of school outings I can see how how such experiences may make one a bit wary."

"Or alternative dreamworlds. Crystal did not have the best of luck with her excursions. Additionally, an invitation to all those we were friendly with at the mansion will remain open for visits and vacation, so you should feel free to come to Attilan whenever you chose. Though preferably tell someone you are coming first," Medusa said, a strand of hair lifting her sunglasses while she winked at the last.

"The invitation is appreciated, an' warning shall be given, if only for courtesy's sake. I am now graduated, after all."

There was a flicker of movement from off to the side, and a familar dark-haired figure appeared. The entrance was unmistakable, for it was accompanied by a piercing scream.

"Ah," Marius observed, not moving from his position stretched out on the lounge chair, "I see Jen's discovered the pool."

"My retinas! I'll never see again!" cried the other girl, with her hands firmly clapped over her eyes.

Medusa lazily shifted her gaze over to the screaming brunette. "What is her problem?" the royal asked, her voice unconcerned. "Does she need a drink?"

"As she appears to have forgotten warnings of the wardrobe predelictions left me from my time on swim team, very likely." Unconcerned, Marius leaned back in the chair and raised his glass. "Ah, well.
