As work nears completion, the two suite mates admire their handiwork and come up with plans for powers training that is also fun.

"I'm glad none of us decided to not take advantage of each other's powers when we have the chance," Angel said cheerfully, dusting her hands off on her jeans as she straightened. "Because we're so incredibly useful." She grinned over at Yvette. "And pretty, we should never, ever forget pretty." There was a giddy relief floating around the sudden construction sight, the news about Crystal and Forge still being alive setting a fire under everyone. And the tree house had picked the best time ever to need several pairs of hands that needed to be kept busy.

Yvette giggled and nodded, looking up at the nearly-completed construction with glowing eyes. "It is good, to be doing the useful thing," she agreed, pulling her gloves back on after a day of having them largely off so she could trim boards and the like. "And I think I am prettier than you are." The last was said with a note of teasing. "You only have the red hair, and I am red all over. And everyone is knowing that red is the best colour."

Angel opened her mouth and then shut it again before grinning at her suitemate. "You've totally got a good point there—red all over really does trump just red hair any day. Be careful, though, you're pretty and red enough to be mistaken as a tree ornament around Christmas time and Mr. Marko might put you in the branches. Which would actually be awesome, I've always wanted to live in a Christmas tree."

"Mr. Marko already wants to keep me to be his razor," Yvette said with a laugh. "I think I am like those knives, on the television? 'It slices, it dices, it cuts through the shoes and then the tomatoes'?"

"Mmm, tomatoes. Now I want a tomato sandwich." Tilting her head back, Angel eyed the nearly done tree house with glee. "Man, this thing is looking good, isn't it? It's nearly done and no one's been sent to the hospital, now that's a huge plus in our favor. But nearly all the big stuff is done so I guess it's just the fun things…detailing and decorating!"

"It will be the best place to be in the summer," Yvette agreed looking up at the newly-built treehouse. Then she glanced at her friend. "Decorating? What are you thinking of?"

The first, easy answer had been things like pillows or colors but as the blood rushed away from her head, Angel got an idea. A brilliant, glorious, blood rushing idea. "You like wood carving, yeah?" she asked suddenly, bringing her head back up with only a limited amount of neck poppage. "And your control is really, really awesome so I bet anything you'd be really good at stenciling."
"Stencilling?" Yvette frowned a little at the unfamiliar word, but then her eyes brightened. "Oh! You mean for the making of the carvings on the wood, yes?"

"Give the girl a prize!" A pause and then a rustle and Angel handed over a chocolate donut. "But yeah, little carvings on the wood. You're sharp enough and with your control, I think you'd be really good at it. And it's a way to work on control as well as having fun!"

"Ooh, thank you!" Yvette wondered where Angel hid her donuts sometimes, but wasn't about to argue, slipping off her glove again to spear the sticky treat with her finger. "And I have the idea! You could help, yes? With the burning? I have seen there are people making the patterns on the wood with the hot pokers. Perhaps you can be doing the same, with your hands?" She deftly sliced the donut in two and offered Angel the other piece.

She never turned down food, especially when it meant sharing. And she couldn't help but think that Kyle had rubbed off on her just a bit. Grinning, she took her half of the donut and saluted Yvette with it before pausing, eyes wide as she thought about that. "Ooh. Oohh, that's a fantastic idea! I wouldn't have the exact precision that you do, I think, but I could probably pull something like that off if I tried and concentrated really hard. John and I've been working on my fine control.."

"We can practice together?" Yvette suggested. "Mr. Logan has been helping me, like John is helping you... When we were trapped, I was able to help Jan by cutting her out of the fly paper, because Logan taught me how to use my hands for the fine carving. It can be, how you say? The powers practice?"

"And we could have fun with it," Angel said, stopping to lick the chocolate off her fingers. "We're inventive, we could come up with some awesome designs once we got the tricks down. I like this!"

Yvette finished off the donut, and nodded with her mouth full. "Maybe we could ask John for the help?" she suggested, a little shyly, glancing over at the young man. "He is a nice person."

"He is and I think if he gang up on him--you give him those ol' blue eyes and I'll cling to his ankles--he won't be able to say no!" Looking over at him, she glanced back at her friend. "Want to go ambush him now?"

"I think Laurie would be glad if we did," Yvette replied, with another of those flashes of humour. "Before he asks her to be fetching him something from the kitchen again."

"That's a very good point...now...wait for it, waaaaait for it...chaaaaarge!"
