Ororo chaperones the Halloween party. Noriko approves wholeheartedly of her teacher's new look.

Noriko was a bit confused about this whole party. She'd asked a couple of people about Halloween (slowly, and with much use of the dictionary she was coming to hate a little less), and the general consensus hadn't been that different from what her old English teacher had explained about it once. The having the party in November thing, though, that seemed weird. And the Nightmare Before Christmas idea... Well, that was kind of cool, actually. Plus, she hadn't realized Jack Skellington was from a movie.

She hadn't had a costume, though. Nori'd spent a lot of time combing through her closet for something to wear before finally giving it up and just pulling on her most scandalous part gear from Tokyo. It almost felt good to be in proper heels again - at least she didn't feel so short.

Ororo stood by the snack table, casting a gaze over the assembled staff and students that had showed up for the party. It was good to see everybody gathered together, in high spirits borne of sugar ingestion and plain old excitement. There were plenty of impressive costumes there as well, and she hoped Angel had brought her camera to snap at least a few pictures for the yearbook. It was definitely something to remember.

Glancing towards the end of the room, she spotted Noriko standing apart from most of the other students who were out on the dancefloor, though it seemed more like a 'breathing break' than a purposeful distancing. The girl was dressed rather provocatively, but of all nights Ororo supposed this was the one to do it in. She decided to check on the girl just in case she was feeling a bit overwhelmed, and made her way across the room to do so.

Nori was scanning the room, just taking in all the color and strangeness, and at first her eyes simply skipped over the woman heading her way; it was almost a full second before her head whipped back to stare. Noriko blinked at Ms. Monroe as she approached, and then blinked again, taking in the full outfit. "Sugoi..." she breathed.

"Hello, Nori," Ororo said with a pleasant smile. She felt a bit self-conscious still, but tried not to show it as she stopped next to the girl. "Are you enjoying the party?"

It took a few seconds for Noriko to switch her brain back on and start trying to think in English, but eventually she nodded. "Un. Is very enjoy." She was very definitely still staring. She seemed to come to a decision, suddenly, and a smile spread across her face.

"Good, I am glad to hear that. It may seem a bit unusual, but then, many things here are. Your costume is very... interesting."

"Monroe-sensei very interesting, mou." The smile widened into a grin and without a word she reached up and undid the clasp on the studded collar she always wore and offered it to Ororo. "Ne, sensei, is put this, anou here..."

Ororo considered refusing; she didn't want to take Nori's jewelry from her, but the girl seemed to be very insistent. Relenting, she grinned and accepted the collar, fastening it around her throat and giving it a tug to situate it correctly. "How does that look?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.

If anything, the grin got wider, reaching into cheek-breaking territory. "Ii naaa... Is very good."

"All thanks to you," Ororo replied with a wink, slinging a hip to one side and turning her head to show her profile properly. "Thank you, Nori."

"You're welcome." And then, seemingly unable to stand still any longer, Nori moved towards the open dance area. "Let's dancing!" she called to her teacher.

This time Ororo didn't hesitate; laughing, she followed the girl out to the dance floor. After all, what were holidays and parties for?
