So not as dramatic an exit as she deserves, but it has taken way longer than it should have to get it done...so here it is...
Medusa and Crystal go out for lunch. A little more information than planned gets revealed.
"We are going out," said as she strode into Crystal's room. "I am bored," Medusa said, her hair whipping out in frustration. "The palace feels like a cage and gilded though it may be, I am ready to begin pulling out my hair." Her hands came to rest on her swollen belly and she cast her eyes down. "Please?" she all but begged her sister.
"Out?" Crystal looked at her older sister curiously. "Where would you like to go? Do you wish to go in disguise? I do not believe that there is a single child or adult on this island who would be unable to recognize you. Perhaps you would like to visit another country and hope to not be noticed there?"
"I do not care where we go, so long as it outside these blasted walls," Medusa muttered, half surprised that Crystal hadn't tried to just talk her out of it. A strand of hair reached into the hallways to retrieve a bag she'd left sitting outside. "As for disguises, I believe these shall do nicely," she said as she tossed a short brunette wig to her sister and pulled a long haired black one out for herself.
Crystal examined the wig, hiding the unpleasant facial expressions she wished to make. Dying her hair was one thing, but wearing a wig was not something she liked to do, and she was sure Medusa didn't find it too pleasant, either. Sighing inwardly, she stood and floated over to the large mirror in her palace bedroom, pulling her hair up and on her head, then placing the wig atop her head and hair, adjusting it to fit properly.
Retracting her own hair, Medusa settled her wig atop her head. "See? No one will recognize as Attilani royalty now." I hope.
"A quick jaunt out to grab a meal and then we can come back. No chance to get in to mischief that way, correct?"
Crystal wasn't so sure about Medusa's statements. She'd been around the Xavier mansion residents for far too long to believe that going out to eat dinner could not result in a catastrophe; just look at what had happened when she had gone out with Jennie, Marius, and Kyle and they had been kidnapped right in front of her eyes. "Do you have a particular destination in mind?" Crystal asked.
"I do not believe my mind got much further than 'out'," the queen said with a wry smile. "Perhaps that little Italian place on the coast? Not likely to be many people and perhaps I can have us teleported straight there and back. Marcelo stills owes me a favor or two, after all."
"Shall we away, then?" Crystal asked, her voice serious but her face with a hint of amusement.
Grabbing her sister's hand, Medusa dragged her down the hallways, which was fairly uncharacteristic for the young royal. "Now I just have to pray that the sensation of teleporting does not aggravate my morning sickness," she said wryly, as she knocked on the door. When Marcelo answered, she quickly explained her request and in the blink of an eye, Crystal and Medusa were in the ally behind her chosen restaurant.

Crystal rose from the table, the wig she had worn earlier held in one hand. Indeed, coloring one's hair and wearing a wig were very different indeed, and both Medusa and Crystal had chosen to shed theirs sometime during the meal. A quick trip to the bathroom had returned her hair to a presentable appearance. "You enjoyed your dinner, yes?" Crystal asked as they left the restaurant.
It was careless really. Leaving the resturant without resuming their disguises. But the evening had gone so well, they just had to step into the street behind the restaurant and they'd be quickly whisked back to the castle. When the first flash went off, Medusa barely noticed. The second and third, though, were impossible to ignore. Pulling her sister back into the restuarant, she shook her head slowly. Of course the paparazzi had found her. And perhaps a small part of her had wanted them to...there was only so long one could stay locked in a tower. "I believe the cat is out of the bag now," she said. "Perhaps it is time for a formal announcement..."
Crystal nodded. "Perhaps this is for the best, yes? People were going to find out at some point, and it may as well be now." She smiled a bit. "I am sure that Nathan will be very glad to hear your good news."
Medusa let out a sigh, her hair fluttering out. "Indeed. I am sure he will be glad after he gets over being angry." Brightening slightly, a twinkle entered the redhead's eyes. "Of course, perhaps if I informed him in person, he would not have time to be mad." Pulling out her phone, she dialed Marcelo. After all, a quick jaunt to Xavier's...what kind of mischief could she get in to?
