Angel makes the mistake of looking back over the journals to catch up with what happened while she and the others were in the woods. What she finds does not make her happy.

There'd been a shower. And then food. And, well, more food.

Then Angel had made the mistake of opening the computer and checking what she'd missed while she had been stomping around the woods. She'd stared at her computer in complete disbelief for a moment before screeching out in protest before stomping out of her room, startling Yvette. There was a bit of smoldering as she stomped down the hallway but she got that under control before banging on Laurie's door.

Laurie had just been trying to figure out what she needed to take with her to classes, something that needed thought considering how heavy her book bag would get if she didn't plan, when she heard the bang at her suite's front door.

She wandered out of her room and looked around for Morgan, who appeared to be making herself scarce at the moment. Nothing for it but to answer the door then, and hope it wasn't someone come to complain to her about things that had happened on the journals.

"Angel?" she questioned, looking quizzically at her former roommate.

"You - you..." Angel ran out of words but had plenty of anger and so flailed her arms for a moment. "You thought he was going to kill someone?!" she yelled, looking more disturbed by the fact than angry. Though, there was quite a bit of anger there, too. "You know him! Why...oh my god, why are you both idiots?!"

Laurie, admittedly with the wisdom of hindsight wasn't so sure what she'd been thinking now. It was also impossible to take anything you said or did back, especially when the person you'd said them to was no longer talking to you, possibly for good this time.

"Could we not do this, please?" Laurie asked tiredly, leaving the door open however as she walked back into the main living space of the suite. "Would you like something to drink?"

At Laurie's lack of anger back, Angel's slightly went away. Enough to let her follow her into the suite. "No, I'm good, but thanks," she said, her mother forcing her manners through even when she was pretty miffed. "Okay, so I'll throw out the idea of screaming at you in the hall because, you know, that never works out for anyone. And the plan to set your stuff on fire is shelved for now. But - dude, why? I mean it's Kyle. And I know you've been at each other's throats lately but still."

"I really thought he was going to, Angel." Laurie replied, pulling a glass out of one of the cupboards and pouring herself a glass of water. "He looked... I don't know, feral, I guess. And there was so much growling going on. I guess it's different just hearing about it, and actually seeing it. I made a mistake."

"Yeah, I'll say." She might not be screaming in anger but she still wasn't pleased with the line this had taken. "Kyle's been through some rough stuff, more than some people here, you know? And while he was all hurt butt monkey at us when certain events were going around -" Nothing like thinking your dad was a killer to throw you off you're a-game. "- it never went beyond that." Angel sighed. "You guys are morons, the both of you."

Laurie took a drink from her glass, swishing the water from one cheek to another before swallowing. It gave her time to think, to figure out just what to say next. "I don't mean to be rude, and you know I'm always glad to see you. But...is that all you came here for? To call me a moron?"

Angel shrugged one shoulder. "Sort of. I mean, I was mad, so yes? But now..." She shuffled, suddenly feeling awkward. "I remember how awesome it was when we were all in a suite, you know? And then Crystal went and got fast forwaded aged and Sooraya went home for a time, and you moved in here." She was babbling. "I just kind of wanted to see where my friend went, you know, because you've changed. And I miss my friend."

"I..." Laurie began, and then stopped, wondering just what she should say. She had changed, had gotten busier, and in some ways distant with her friends. The business with Kyle, she'd have never said those things back when she first came here. "I miss my friends too." she finally said.

The younger girl took a big breath. "Look, I know things have been stressful - I mean, you're always so totally busy. And I don't want to get in your way. I miss my friend and, when she gets back, can you let me know?"

Laurie didn't answer immediately, merely walked over to the door to her suite and held it open, an obvious indication that she was done talking. "I'll try."
