The two Boston Red Sox fans meet to chat about Bobby's return and cheer on the destruction of the Yankees.

With Garrison working late, Adrienne was at Harry's watching the Yankees versus the Angels with the stool next to her vacant. It had been occurring to her lately that watching baseball alone was a little bit boring, that she liked being able to discuss the plays with someone else. And make fun of players and plays, of course.

Luckily, she'd invited Bobby to come watch the game with her, even offering to buy his first round as a welcome home gesture.

The crowd booed as Bobby Drake pushed himself through the crowd, his Red Sox hat still pulled tightly down towards his ears despite their quick fate in the playoffs. He turned quickly back toward the crowd. "Hey, at least we don't try to buy a World Series!" Still arguing with the crowd, he spotted his friend at her spot on the stool. "Right Adrienne?"

"Exactly," she nodded emphatically, choosing to ignore the fact that their own Series had been basically purchased with steroids. "It's nice to see you again, Drake," she smiled, extending a hand to her former roommate's husband.

"Nice to see you too." He extended a hand shaking Adrienne's with a slight bowing motion. "So what's changed at the old hangout?" Bobby hadn't been to Harry's since his return, instead having to piece together broken course plans from the departed professors of the mansion.

"I'm not exactly sure," she laughed, "since I only arrived last May and you'd already relocated to Ireland by then, so I don't know how it was when you left it. I could probably find out what's changed with my powers if you wanted me to, though," she joked, wriggling her fingers at him. "How's Terry doing?"

"You know Terry, always keeping herself busy." He smiled thinking fondly of his wife, a clear picture already forming in his mind. "I don't know what I'd do without that girl. I'd probably still be sitting at the mansion gaining 50 pounds from Doritos by this point if she hadn't made an honest man of me."

"Thank Christ for her, because I don't think you'd carry fifty extra pounds well, Drake," Adrienne smirked. "What can I buy you to drink?"

"I'll just go with a Guinness for now. I'm still recovering from Irish pubs." He caught her eyes, and thought that he may need to justify himself. "Yes, I know, I sold out to European beer, but it grows on you after you've been there for a while."

"I'll have to take your word on that," she muttered, sipping at her own Anchor Steam. "So what brought you back to the mansion, Drake? Burning desire to teach gifted youngsters? Or be an X-Man again? It has to be something big, to have you leaving your wife in Ireland, right? It's not marital problems, is it?"

"No, no, we're still the happily married couple." He let his back fall back against the bar. "Well as happy as a couple who randomly got married in Vegas can be. But I had to bring my brother back. He was having... problems." That was an understatement. "But when I heard about how many people left the mansion, I thought the least I could do was stick around and help the kids out as much as I was able to back when I was a student." Bobby even surprised himself with that one, he sounded like his dad. Well if his dad was a former mutant teenager.

"Well, I'm sorry I didn't leave too so you could take the math class over," Adrienne smirked.

Bobby couldn't help but laugh. "You can take care of all that stuff, I've moved my focus." He paused for a second, squinting as he picked up his drink. "I've actually been taking classes in physics."

"That's great," she praised, tipping her bottle towards him in a salute. "Especially because math and business are all I'd know so I'd be out of a job if you hadn't shifted your focus. I might make a decent history teacher though, with my powers," she grinned. "So why physics?"

Drake tip the glass towards his lips and swallowed before answering. "I'm trying to understand my powers a little better. I figured it's best to know what you're doing to a member of the Brotherhood when you freeze them to the side of a mountain. It seems a little more gratifying that way, ya know?"

"I don't know exactly, since physics have little to do with my powers, but it's a concept I can definitely support," Adrienne smirked. "Ooo, that's it boys," she cackled to the television as Jeter ground out.

Bobby's eyes darted up. "You know everyone worships him for one defensive play, but I'll never be able to forgive him for the stunt he pulled on Nomar a few years ago at the all star game..." He quickly took a swig of his drink. "No matter what people say, Nomar will always be a member of the team in my books.

"Everyone who's ever been a Sock is a lifetime member in my eyes," Adrienne agreed with a nod. "Except Manny. The Dodgers are welcome to that asshole. Do you think Bay's really going to Toronto next year?"

"Manny can keep his woman's fertility drugs in L.A." Bobby paused considering the Bay deal. "I actually think Jason's going to end up back in the NL. The only two teams that have enough money for him after this year are us and the Yanks, and I think he's feel in to much with our fans to leave for New York." Bobby took another swill before continuing. "Of course that's what I thought about Damon too..."

"Well, I'd hate to see Bay go because he's one of the hottest players on the team, but I suppose as long as he doesn't go to Toronto I don't mind him leaving."
"But luckily we've been keeping a farm system going. When someone leaves for free agency we don't have to pay massive amounts of money, we have someone in the minors to help them out." Suddenly Bobby pushed himself back from the bar. "Wait a second, what time is it?"

"Umm, time for baseball?" Adrienne answered dumbly. She didn't often keep track of the time while at Harry's.

"No." Bobby looked down at his watch. "I have to call Terry early this morning... or today here. She's leaving for Interpol stuff really early and I want to catch her first." He looked down at his watch for a second. "You want me to deliver her a message from you?"

"Just tell her I'll try to keep my hands off you knowing you're a Sox fan," Adrienne grinned.

Bobby smiled. "I'll be sure to let her know." Slowly he bagan weaving through the crowd. "Keep the seat warm for me."
