On Adrienne's suggestion, Nico goes to see Kurt for help with her resume.

Following Adrienne's instructions, Nico decided it was best to deal with the other teacher, and get her resume ready and pretty. She considered it silly to think he was wary of her; it was even a bit odd to think Amanda would think that of her, since she was there after all, and not in some cell God knows where. Knocking the door in front of her, Nico put those thoughts aside, but hoped Kurt could give her a little more information.

"Hmm...Mr. Sefton?"

He recognised the voice at once, opening the door with a polite smile even as he nudged back the small dog that was trying to make a break for it. "Hello, Nico. Can I help with something?"

Nico entered, looking at the dog curiously, forgetting what she was doing there for a second. "Ah, yes, I kind of have a favor to ask." Nico showed him the paper Adrienne had placed the resume's format. "Adri-Ms. Frost mentioned you would be the right person to ask for help to fill it with pretty words...and now that sounds a little dumb."

"I... do not know what might have made her think of me for that", he had to admit, taking the paper to look it over. "I do teach literature, so perhaps that is why... but I will be happy to do what I can."

The girl only managed to scratch her head. "I guess that taking in count I have a...weird background, no complete studies, and even less experience with any work, I would need help to say in a convincing way that I'm a good person...sort of." Nico's eyes moved back to the dog; she hadn't thought there would be pets on the mansion, but then again, some of the residents had animal-like characteristics -ferals, they were called-, so a dog shouldn't make much of a hassle right?

Now the door was closed, Triscuit had settled down again, returning a little sulkily to his basket. Kurt nodded at Nico's words, looking back up at her. "I know how that is. I came here with no qualifications at all. Ms. Frost is going to give you a job?"

"Well, she said so, but for that there has to be papers and all." The girl leaned a bit to see the sheet better. "I guess I just need to put what I can in there honestly."

Nico looked back at the dog. "Looks like a very well behaved little guy."

Kurt chuckled. "As he should be, with all the obedience classes he and I attended. And his mother was also a well-trained pet. What exactly are you looking to get across with this resume?"

Nico felt a little more relaxed after seeing Kurt laugh; at least it didn't look like she was imposing herself, and that was good. "Let's see... I guess that I'm honest, hardworking and reliable... Maybe Amanda should read it; if she believes it, anyone would." Nico sighed, knowing Kurt won't like to hear that.

"I'm sorry; it's just that I don't like...well, being treated like a dangerous thing or something like that".

"Amanda is very protective of this place", he said more quietly. "As am I, and she knows dark magic when she feels it. But she and I also both trust the Professor when he says you mean no harm. There will not be a repeat of the bubble unless something happens to make it necessary."

"I guess I don't blame her for wanting to protect this place, but what has happened here before like this? And I do the magic I do isn't precisely of the brightest kind, which sucks; it only means I am to be feared and watched in the end."

"Let us just say, if you hear stories about demons, they are not made up", was the frank response. "But that was years ago. The mansion is well protected now, in more ways than one. As I understand it - and I was raised by a witch - much of magic is in the intent behind it. You may be watched at first, but you can prove yourself."

"Demons? That is both awesome and frightening", commented as she thought about the part that interested her the most. "Prove myself, sure, I think I can try that." And if that failed, back to the bubble. " Well, let's get done with this little resume thing."

"Of course." He stepped towards the desk, clearly expecting her to follow. "We will have to think of evidence for those good qualities, but I am sure you can come up with examples."

"And here I was, thinking this would be easy", said the girl, arms raised as she followed the man.
