Remy and Meggan bump into each other at the Snow Valley offices while she’s there to pay Amanda a visit. She takes the opportunity to thank him for helping out when she was possessed by Selene, and then answers a few questions for him.

Meggan had just shown up at the Snow Valley offices to pay a surprise visit to Amanda. It had been a little too long between a quick visit for her liking, what with all the chaos of the last month or so. Even just poking her head in and saying ‘hi’ if she turned out to be busy was better than not even showing up at all.

And then after that visit, she’d have to head out and get newer copies of her Lord of the Rings books. There was only so much longer hers would last before those dog-eared pages gave up the ghost and simply fell out. She didn’t want to get to an important scene and have an entire segment ruined because of one missing page.

The pile of files landed on the desk with a loud floomph, rattling the plastic of the in-box just as she crossed over to Amanda's cubicle. LeBeau had just dropped off a new stack of work for the young witch, part of his own ever expanding inbox. He had already been in since very early in the morning, and sipping from one of his endless cups of coffee as he stalked around the office.

She winced for a second, barely surprised that the amount of things added hadn’t caused the in-box to simply collapse to the floor under its weight. When she almost literally bumped into Remy as he went around the office, Meggan settled on doing something else she’d been meaning to do. Surprising Amanda could wait five or ten minutes. Even if it meant possibly risking him in a bad mood, she could still try. "Excuse me? If you're not too busy...could we talk?"

"Meggan, oui? You not here to ask for a job too, are you?" Remy said, suddenly wary for reasons she couldn't fathom.

Meggan was starting to think maybe she shouldn’t start conversations with ‘can we talk’ or ‘we need to talk.’ She needed to start conversations with phrases which didn’t instill dread. At his question, though, she shook her head with a small smile. “No, that’s not it. I just--wanted to say thank you.”

"You sure dat you didn't talk to Jake and decide you want to be an international assassin instead of a nurse or something?" Remy was scrutinizing her. Obviously, simple thank yous didn't often factor into his day to day. "Wait, thank you? For what, petite?"

That thought only gave her a moment’s pause, before Meggan shook her head with a chuckle. “I’m pretty sure I’d make the worst ninja assassin of all time, since I’m not interested in killing anybody.” After a pause, she added with a small shrug, “For helping out...when I was possessed? During that whole thing, really. I’ve just been trying to thank everyone that was involved with trying to get me back to...well, me, really.”

"No need to thank Remy for dat. It's my job. Only regret was dat we weren't able to finish it properly." He waved her to follow him, and started to head back to his office. "Any side effects? Bad dreams, headaches, anything like dat following what happened?"

Meggan shook her head as she followed him. “Not really. The first couple nights after all that I didn’t really have any dreams, good or bad. Either I was just too tired from the draining and everything else, or my head was busy sorting stuff out after all the time of her feeding me nightmares. I don't know which. There were a couple bad dreams, but they went away...nowhere close to what she stuck in my head, though.” It was amazing how oddly comforting a dream of being stomped on by an Ent could be after everything.

"Good. Dat means dere's likely no lingering effects." He paused beside his desk, suddenly confused. "Do you drink coffee? You old enough to? Remy can't remember de rule."

She nodded, glad of that. Coffee, though? She shook her head, just as unsure of the age it should be. “I’m not sure of the rule, either. I’m pretty sure I’m old enough for it, but I don’t really drink it all that much. And I’ve never tried it any way other than decaf.” With a grin, she joked, “I’ll stick with decaf...or we discover if I crash into the ceiling when I’ve had too much of the other.”

Remy fished a bottle of fresh orange juice out of his sidebar instead. "De only time dat Remy even drank decaf was part of a torture attempt." It was a grim sort of joke, but an attempt at humour at the very least. He passed it over to her, pouring himself a cup into an old mug and settled himself behind his desk. "Last question; was dere anything in de dreams that didn't seem connected to you or de nightmare itself? Like images of people or places dat you never met or seen before?"

After a moment of thought, she shook her head. “I don’t think so. She mainly sent stuff that ended with me…drowning, getting smothered, getting chased down by various things. Starvation, and some others, but nothing with any images of people or places.”

In the middle of sipping her orange juice, however, she remembered one strange moment, and added, “There was one thing, but I don’t know if it’s the kind of thing you mean. At one point during the day—around the midway point to getting completely taken over, I guess? I felt like I should go somewhere. All I was sure of was it was a certain direction. A certain location, but I didn’t have a picture of it in my head or anything, just the general area. I didn’t go...but when she finally took over, turned out it was Endymion House she was trying to influence me to go to.”

"Endymion House? Remy not familiar wit' dat."

She shook her head with an apologetic smile, since she didn’t know much about it either. “I think she lived there at one point? All I’m really sure of is that Klar was waiting for her there. He had everything ready for her.”

"Well, dat's something to follow up. Anything dat's good for Selene is almost automatically bad for us." He nodded. "Merci, Meggan. Someone should have talked to you 'bout dis before now."

“You’re welcome.” She grinned. “And it’s okay. I know everybody’s been really busy lately, between her and everything in India.” She really hadn’t been sure if the name of the house would be something that was important or not until now. She was glad it helped, even if it was just a tiny amount.

"When it rains, it pours, neh?" Remy agreed, and then looked up to see a blonde head appear over a cubicle. "Looks like 'manda finally made it into de office. Remy talk to you later den?"

Meggan nodded in agreement as she stood to go. “Of course. And thank you again?” Starting to leave, she poked her head back into the cubicle just long enough to add, “And for the orange juice!”
