Wanda stops by the mansion to say hello to people she hasn't seen in a while and finds Wade. They decide to go for drinks.

Even though it had been a while since Wanda had last visited - long past were the days where she'd show up every few days thanks to people moving on - the mansion never seemed to change. She smiled a little wistfully as she deftly made her way through the snow, managing to make it to the front door relatively unscathed by it even while wearing heels. It was a skill she'd long perfected though she did pause to make sure whatever snow was on her was left on the doorstep before she let herself in.

Charles probably knew she'd been on the grounds the moment she'd stepped foot and, possibly, Jean as well. She paused in the foyer, pushing her sunglasses up far enough to make sure her hair snagged them, as she thought about who she needed, wanted, to visit first. Perhaps Jean and Hank first, leaving Charles and his teapot for last...

Wade was on his way outside in an effort to find a trail that might actually be runnable and to familiarize himself with the grounds a bit better when he caught sight of a woman unmistakably from the city - the sunglasses gave it away, specifically the way they settled atop her head with her bangs flipped backward beneath them. It was, generally, a good look for her and, knowing it was always nice to tell people things like that, he veered to the left, bent on making the woman's acquaintance. "Hello tall, dark, and gorgeous," he said, pasting on his most charming smile. Technically, she was tall by lady standards, even if he was four inches over that himself. "Please tell me you're not married, attached, or interested only in women."

"Well," Wanda drawled, turning towards him in amusement. "I do have to say you win points for most unique greeting, even at the mansion." Since there had been no sense of danger from any of the telepaths, she assumed that he was a more recent arrival to Xavier's. In fact, she'd heard something about a new person moving in but she hadn't heard any good gossip yet. "I thank my lucky stars every day that I have never been married, attached is simply perspective and from mine I am singularly not and as pretty as women can be ..." Wanda let her gaze openly rake this man up and down as a small smile blossomed. He was certainly attractive, though looks could be deceiving amongst Xavier residents. "Considering my current company? I can happily say that I prefer my opposition in gender."

Beaming, Wade extended one hand to her. "In that case, I am probably the happiest person you're going to meet today. Wade Wilson, ready and able to satisfy whatever needs you might have while here at the mansion."

Her smile took on a wicked look for a moment. "Making someone this ridiculously happy within the first ten seconds - I say, Mr. Wilson, I do think that's a record even for me. And you might want to be careful with how you say things - some people might take you up on them." Wanda laughed and clasped his hand in a firm grip as they shook. "Wanda Maximoff. Former Xavier resident and now, friend of the family, so to say. I assume you're the latest addition?"

"I say what I mean and mean what I say, Miss Maximoff," Wade said, letting his hand linger for a long moment. "And I wouldn't object in the slightest if you decided to take me up on what I just said." She was hot - he was pretty sure somebody'd have to be crazier than he was to turn down the opportunity to satisfy her, Jesus.

Of course, with his luck, she'd make him run all over the place fetching smoothies and finding her nut crackers while she ate bonbons.

"A man who's honest and eager. I think I'll keep you." Never one to let an opportunity pass up, she sent her apologies mentally to Jean and Charles. Wanda had been working far too hard lately - friendly flirting was something she was sure the doctor would order for her. After a few glasses of wine, perhaps. "You know, I did come to visit with some old friends but I think they'll forgive me if I spend today making new friends, don't you think? Have you been to Harry's yet?"

"I haven't, but some kid who works there told me on the journals he'd give me an hour's worth drinks for free or something. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any idea how much a dedicated drinker can down in that period of time." Wade opened the door for Wanda and offered her his arm. "I don't know if he's there, but the first three rounds are on me."

Wanda wrapped her arm through his and let him lead her outside, allowing her hip to brush against his side more than it necessarily needed to. "The first three rounds? Oh, I will end up liking you, I think." She tilted her head as they headed towards the driveway; a gleaming, high powered motorcycle sat on the, thankfully, snowless pavement. "Why don't I drive there and we can walk back if need be? Americans think the first hint of snow means to shut up gorgeous machines but handled just right and she handles as well as any car." Also, the roads were clear and she knew Harry would have made sure the road between his establishment and the mansion was clear of snow just in case.

"Oh, she's almost as hot as you are," Wade said, grinning. "And I think we're gonna get along just fine if you've got contingencies set up for having to walk back to the mansion." He should probably let her know that he wasn't likely to get drunk, given his mutation, but he wasn't the sort to actually take advantage of someone when they were tipsy, so it wasn't necessarily anything they needed to worry about. And he was very good at pretending to be drunk. "Lead on, lead on - we're going to have a fantastic evening."

She jingled her keys at him with a grin. "You have no idea."

They pulled into the parking lot for Harry's without one problem from the gates to the front of the bar. Wanda didn't necessarily need the helmet, since she could avoid enough damage with some judicial use of her powers, but she hadn't had anywhere else to put it, either. Shutting the bike down, she popped it off and cursed in Rom as her hair sprung back to it's original shape. "Welcome," she said, peering over her should at Wade with a grin, "to Harry's. Home away from home for a very long time."

"Home away from home," Wade muttered, taking in the surroundings. It seemed like a good place. "And it looks like the annoying bartender's not here, but I promised you alcohol - pick your poison, speedy. I'm paying."

"Harry always keeps a good stock of beer," Wanda mused, sliding off the motorcycle after Wade hopped off. She placed the helmet over it, knowing that no one in their right mind would mess with anything in this parking lot. "He knows what people like, especially those of us who know exactly what a good drink is." She grinned and looped her arm through his again as they headed inside.

Wade reached out and opened the door, then held it for Wanda while still managing to keep their arms linked - he had talent and he knew it. "And what do you consider a good drink?" He'd probably hit up the beer, himself. Maybe investigate the tequila. If he was feeling frisky, he'd probably ask for something fruity because there was nothing funnier than a guy who could kick your ass drinking a pink margarita with a teeny tiny umbrella stuck in the top. And also, strawberry margaritas were delicious.

She couldn't help it, she grinned at him when he managed not to let go of her as they went through the door. Waving to Harry behind the bar, she answered Wade, "A good drink? While there are so many to pick from I do have to say that a good single malt scotch is generally the way to my heart. For less intense drinking, however, there are some fine Germanic beers that I am very fond of. And no one in their right mind turns down a pina colada." Wanda quirked an eyebrow at him as they took their seats. "And what's the best way to your heart, then?"

"It depends on my mood," Wade said, grinning. "Right now, I'm thinking a purple nurple. Or possibly six." And they were fun to say.

"You don't often say things that people expect you to say, do you?" Wanda guessed, leaning her chin on one hand as she studied him thoroughly. It wasn't a bad thing. No, it was refreshing to be in the company of one so decidedly not normal.

"I endeavor to be anything but boring," Wade said, tone surprisingly sincere for just a moment. Then he ordered his six purple nurples and gestured for Wanda to order whatever she might like.

Wanda decided on beer for now. Her tolerance for drink was incredibly high and, on beer, she could hold out even longer. There was no desire to get rip roaring drunk especially since while she was enjoying Wade's company she still didn't know him. There was caution to be had everywhere. "I think you're succeeding with your goal in life," she replied, leaning back in her seat. "I do appreciate both those who are not boring and those who are successful in making their own goals in life."

"Positive feedback," Wade said, grinning. Leaning in a little so he could whisper in Wanda's ear, he continued, "There's nothing that makes a man happier than knowing he's doing something right."

"Oh, darling, the more right moves you make, the more positive feedback you'll get," she purred, tilting her head towards his. "I am a part time professor, you know, and I give out high marks for excellent performance."

Wade had never gotten very good marks in school and he'd never gone to college, but damned if he didn't intend to get the best marks this particular part-time professor had ever given out. Grinning, he let his nose brush along Wanda's cheekbone. "Is there a chance for extra credit?"

"With me," Wanda chuckled, not restraining the slight shiver that ran through her at the caress, "there is always a chance for extra credit, especially if you happen to be asking when you're on your best behavior." She placed her hand on his knee as she laughed again. "Or your worst, all things depending."

The bartender arrived just as Wade shifted to sit a bit closer to Wanda and the mercenary pried his attention away from her long enough to put in an order for a pina colada and three purple nurples. Then he turned back toward her and grinned. "I have more manners than most ladies like, most of the time, but I can't help picturing you pinned against a wall. Which is really, really not mannerly at all." Quirking an eyebrow, he asked, "Should I apologize?"

Wanda slowly drummed her fingers on Wade's leg as both of her eyebrows slowly rose. "You, Mr. Wilson, have just moved from 'very interesting' to 'incredibly interesting'," she murmured. She leaned her head closer to his as her voice dropped. "Do you want to know something incredibly coincidental? I cannot help picturing you pinned against a wall, either." She leaned back to almost her original position and couldn't help but see Harry shake his head over at the bar. Wanda hadn't had this much fun in ages.

"But will you still respect me in the morning?" Wade asked, still grinning. "I'm big on still being respected the morning after... and I don't really do the walk of shame. It's more like a saunter of supreme satisfaction."

"While I have almost never experienced the walk of shame, I think the saunter of supreme satisfaction is a new one. Though, darling, if anyone can pull off such a walk, it has to be you."

"Why, thank you," Wade said, nodding to the bartender as the shots were lined up in front of him. "You didn't answer my question, though."

Reaching for her pina colada, Wanda took a quick sip before answering. "Honestly? I only lose respect for my partners under very limited circumstances. Feeling bad about the night before, attempts on my life, stealing my belongings. You know, the usual, I suppose."

Wade looked at Wanda askance. "Does that happen often? People trying to kill you and steal your stuff?"

"On occasion but not for years now," she replied and then blinked. "You know, there are times I suppose I should realize that my life is not exactly normal. But thankfully the last time it happened was several years ago in Spain. He was quite attractive up until a certain point. You may have realized that the people who frequent the mansion lead, or have led, interesting lives." She looked at the line of shots and then at Wade. "Can we say the same for its newest resident?"

Picking up one of the shots, Wade smiled. "You could say that." He downed it in one and then flipped the shot glass over and placed it on the bar. "Hm. I was expecting grape... and instead, I get apple. Intriguing." Wade reached for the second shot and then pointed at Wanda with one finger. "Well, I won't try to kill you and I don't really need your stuff, so I won't try to steal it." Then he knocked back the second purple nurple and grinned. "I'm two drinks down and you've still only sipped at yours. I'm winning."

Wanda stared down at her drink for a moment. "Have you ever tried to guzzle a pina colada?" she asked wryly but she did take a bigger drink this time. Peering at him over the lip of the glass, she continued, "With the knowledge that you will not try to make off with my scotch collection the morning after, what is it that you do? Besides, of course, charming random women into coming to have a drink with you."

"I... am currently unemployed," Wade said, shrugging. "So mostly I work out and watch TV. And cook. And eat." Which was entirely true. He'd given his word to the Professor that he wasn't going to take any jobs while he was staying at the mansion, so he was effectively unemployed. If she pressed, he guessed he could mention his military background. "I'm at the mansion for help with my mutation, though."

Even though Wanda caught the hesitation, she was wise enough to not comment on it. After all, they all had their secrets and she wasn't about to divulge the fact that he was cuddling up next to Magneto's only - as far as she knew - daughter. Speaking of cuddling, she put her hand back on his leg and it was her turn to look askance at him. "Well, Xavier's is certainly the right place for it. What is your - flavor, I suppose, of powers?" She didn't ask what the issue was. It was up to him if he wanted to explain it to her.

"Healing factor, mostly. Increased speed and agility. Fun stuff," Wade said, eying his third purple nurple as he considered knocking it back. "What about you?"

"Chaos," Wanda drawled as she played with the cherry that came with her drink. "Utter, complete chaos - it is quite fun, actually. I make improbable things happen at the worst or, well, best times."

"Improbable things," Wade said, tipping his head to the side just a little as he considered that. Then he smiled and leaned in, lips a breath away from Wanda's for a moment. "Well, we'll get to pinning one another against walls a little later, I guess." And then he kissed her. That was improbable enough, really.
