Meggan and Kurt, Wednesday Afternoon
Mar. 30th, 2011 06:06 pmKurt apologizes to Meggan for being chased out of his room before, giving her a cake in the process.
Meggan caught herself moments before she nearly went to Kurt’s room without knocking. Remembering what she had promised as she fled the room last time, Meggan knocked relatively noisily on Kurt’s door. She paused in thought, and then knocked two more times for good measure, just in case. Sure, she didn’t hear any little sounds or anything obvious like that coming from inside, but she really didn’t want to just walk in on something going on between Kurt and Monet that she shouldn’t be watching.
“It’s just me, Kurt. You alone?”
"Entirely", was the cheerful response as Kurt opened the door as fully clothed as he ever was, which meant no shoes or socks. "And for the incident that made you ask, I think I owe you something. Cake?"
“Cake would be fantastic. If you could make it chocolate,” Meggan clarified. That sort of thing probably required chocolate cake. If she’d glimpsed more as she had retreated, then it would have called for something else…maybe with a variety of layers, to make up for it. She was mainly just relieved she didn’t need to cover her eyes.
"It shall be the cake of your dreams, and luckily I know your tastes." He retreated to the kitchen in search of said cake.
Meggan happily trailed behind, waiting patiently for a delicious piece of chocolate cake. ”Then, I know it’ll be good,” she commented with a grin. He would know exactly what she wanted on it.
What he produced from the fridge, with a very theatrical flourish, was an already sliced but whole chocolate cake, having apparently been made to order with all Meggan's favourite additions and the iced words "I'm sorry".
"It looks beautiful," Meggan said with a grin. It even had chocolate sprinkles on top of the chocolate icing. When she finally got a good look at the words written across it, she immediately went over to hug Kurt. “Oh, it’s okay. You didn’t do anything wrong.”
"I did allow Monet to chase you away", he pointed out, setting the cake down to hug her back. "She is not usually quite that tactless, though, so I think it will not happen again."
“Forgiven, even though I still don’t blame you. You were busy right then...she was really busy and intent on stuff.” Even if she wasn’t sure why Monet picked that moment, she could still forgive it.
"I am glad", he said with a relieved smile. "And just so you know, all of this is for you and whoever you choose to share it with."
Meggan might just end up sharing a large chunk of it, then. Even if it looked so good. “I’ll see if Molly wants a slice and a half, after I get the part I want. Maybe somebody else, too, since it’s large enough.” Molly had loved the chocolate pancakes with chocolate syrup, so it was a pretty good bet that she would like this, too. “You can have a few bites of it first, if you want,” she offered.
"Perhaps just a few bites", he said solemnly, and sliced the end off one of the slices after looking to Meggan for approval.
Meggan nodded with a grin, waving him on. “Go on, then,” she encouraged. “Eat that portion, I won’t complain.”
"All right, then." He grinned back. "But the rest is yours."
“It’s a deal,” Meggan confirmed. Hers, and whoever else she ended up sharing it all with, of course.
