Jean lets Julian know how she feels about the e-mail he sent to her.

Jean stood her office, staring out the window at the rain that came down outside. She wore a blouse with a sheer red gauze shirt over it that barely masked the large elbow and fist sized bruises that ran up and down her arms. Upon her return from Texas she had finally gotten Julian's e-mail and learned of his subsequent antics through a patchwork of various sources. The door clicked, and the handle turned, opening upon his arrival.

Unconcerned, Julian strolled into the room and plopped into a seat on the subordinate side of the desk. "You wanted to see me, Doctor Grey-Summers?" He knew he was in trouble, but on some level he just didn't care anymore. Julian Keller had been in trouble with someone or another since he was thirteen and developed telekinesis overnight. This was just one more person he'd disappointed- add it to the list and he reckoned he had enough pages to publish a healthy sized novella.

The door closed behind him, and Jean turned to face Julian, cocking her head to the side.

Suddenly, within a half a second, quicker than most could really process what was going on, she ripped him from the chair telekinetically and slammed him against the wall so hard it shuddered, keeping him pinned there. It was an even weight, spread across his body. Not enough to hurt, just to keep immobile.

"If you ever threaten or disrespect me like that again I will have you suspended from trainee status permanently," Jean said as she walked toward him, her eyes set ablaze.

"I don't care if you were hurt or angry. At this school, decisions like that get people hurt or killed and I will not abide."

"If you do not start acting like an adult, you will no longer be my student. I will not teach someone who will not listen to me. I have better things to do with my time than bend over backward trying to help someone who has more respect for a fire hydrant. Moreover...if I also catch you threatening my students, the faculty, or the staff like the way you spoke to me because you got your panties in a twist, you will answer to the Professor. Got it?"

Julian pushed back against her telekinesis, but it was too strong. He was pinned, helpless, like a butterfly about to become part of a collection. His eyes narrowed as he gave one last push, backwards this time, trying to give himself some room by damaging the wall, if only ever so slightly...it didn't work. Finally, the younger mutant gave up. "Let. Me. Go," Julian said in cool tones, after taking a moment to collect himself.

The sensation of pressure was lifted off Julian, but soon gravity was allowed to resume its natural course and physics kicked in, with the general destination being the ground.

The door opened. Jean’s stare never left him.

“We’re done now.”

Julian raised an eyebrow, wondering if being part of the X-Men was really worth all of this hassle before nodding and getting up off the floor and heading for the doorway.
