Maddie goes to her teacher asking for advice on something less academic.

"Hey, Ms. Frost," Maddie leaned against her teacher's desk, books clutched to her chest "Do you have a minute? Can I ask you something?"

Adrienne looked up from gathering her papers and smiled at Maddie. "Of course, Miss Pryor. What's up? Do you want to start being assigned films to watch in history class along with Miss Miller?"

"Wait. You mean that I could watch movies instead of reading boring texts and powerpoint presentations and stuff?" Her face lit up with excitement. That sounded awesome. Especially if they involved hot guys in various Gladiator gear and other period clothes. Yum. But that wasn't what she was there for, darn it. "No. That's not what I wanted to talk to you about. It's kinda... not history related. More relevant to the present, really. But still a matter of your expertise."

"My expertise?" Adrienne retorted, surprised. She let the comments about 'boring' texts and powerpoint presentations go, since it was after class and all that. "Related to the present? Is this about who I think is going to make the starting line up Opening Day for the Sox?"

"Red Sox? No way. I think I might need to wear my Nolan Ryan jersey to keep from you New England types from corrupting my young impressionable mind. But no." Maddie fidgeted, shifting slightly from side to side. "This is about, um, fashion stuff?"

Adrienne shuddered at the mention of Nolan Ryan, what with his stupid Rangers and their stupid buying everyone who moved. "Nolan Ryan? What, do you want me to flunk you right here, right now? Kidding," she added, suddenly remembering it probably wasn't responsible to even joke about something like that with a student. "Fashion stuff?" Wow, how sad was it that Adrienne hadn't even thought of that when Maddie had mentioned her expertise? "Sure! What's going on?"

"The king of no-hitters? You're kidding me. The man's a living legend," her student protested. There were two things you did not insult around her, and Nolan Ryan was one of them. But she wasn't about to go head-to-head with one of her teachers. No, she'd just wait for the season to start and let the whole thing be settled on the diamond. "Your... opinions on baseball aside. You have fashion sense, what with your modeling career and everything. And I... I need help."

"Yeah, but... he owns the Rangers," Adrienne muttered, shaking her head in disbelief. She then snapped out of her train of thought and focused on the task at hand. "Are you interested in a modeling career, Miss Pryor?" she asked curiously, a little confused as Maddie seemed to be dancing around what in particular she needed rather than just coming out with it.

"Oh G-d no." It was the most outrageous idea that Maddie had ever heard. Her, a model? No way. "I love eating way too much to starve myself just so I can fit some cracked out dude's impossible idea of how the female form should look. Like that creepy, leathery lizardy looking dude who called Adele 'too fat'. Who is he to judge these things? Especially when he looks like a worm who was left in the sun too long and got all shriveled and gross. Come on. No, I mean like fashion advice. Cause apparently my usual attire of chucks and jeans and a hoodie isn't very eye-catching."

"Karl Lagerfeld is a fu... freaking jackass," Adrienne muttered, making a face. "This one time he... never mind. Suffice it to say, the man's a dinosaur, and he's mean to boot. And he shouldn't judge how the female form should look. No one should judge other people like that." Sure, fashion was how she'd made her living for most of her life but since becoming a teacher several years ago and getting more in touch with young people outside the industry Adrienne liked to think there was much about the industry that she didn't support anymore. That was why she'd shifted her company's priorities several years ago to athletic and workwear contracts with models of all measurements. "Adele's beautiful," she stated matter-of-factly, giving Maddie a smile. "Apparently your usual attire isn't very eye-catching? Apparently, according to whom?" she questioned gently. "Who are you letting judge you?"

Sigh. "No one's judging me," Maddie pretended to be greatly interested in a natural flaw in Adrienne's desk. "I just want someone to notice me and he isn't. So I was hoping an update would help him see me as more of a girl? And not, like, just someone he hangs out with?"

Adrienne leaned a hip against her desk. "Alright then. As long as it's just an update and you just want to mix some new stuff in with what you already have. Because you should never change who you are for the sake of a guy, Miss Pryor. If he doesn't like what makes you you, which for many people is their style of dress, then he's not worth your time. Yeah?" She gave Maddie a pointed look. "But that being said, an update can be a really good idea to keep things fresh and unique in your look. To help me put things in context, is there someone else he is noticing, someone whose attire has been catching his eye?"

"Pfffft." Maddie shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. Not that I've noticed. I mean, there are like 10 of us here? Not even."

"Okay," Adrienne laughed, "good point." And weren't the other girls either dating someone else or not into guys? "Well, it's nice to know we don't have to find a competing look for you. Now, are you looking at having me take you shopping, or do you want some general tips and ideas so you can search for yourself?"

Her student hesitated, mulling over her options. "Shopping," she said decisively. "I think I may have had a growth spurt. And I think my boobs got bigger." Maddie looked down at her chest and sighed. "But maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part."

"I'm not in a position to comment on that," Adrienne chuckled, "but we'll get you some clothes to accentuate that even if they haven't got bigger. There's this great new shop that just opened in District X that has some pieces I think would look great on you. Did you want to invite any friends?"

"Maybe Layla and Sarah?" The teen was still examining her chest, pursing her lips in concentration. Sometimes she swore her chest was concave. "I'll ask them. But that would be really great. Thank you."

"It's my pleasure to take the three of you, Miss Pryor," Adrienne grinned, "and don't worry about your... bust," she smirked, "it'll all work itself out in good time. And until it does we can fake it quite easily with some tricks that will have that boy's tongue lolling."
