Lorna, Sharon and Sooraya arrive at the Renfair early to set up and get dress.

Lorna pulled up behind the booth and got out and looked around before disappearing into the booth where the girls are going to be working for the next couple of hours. "This is nice." Coming back out to the back where the car and van was located. "We can set up in no time." Walking to the back of her car and opening the trunk and pulled out a box of bags. "Just put it anywhere for right now."

The Afghan young woman followed her example and pulled out one of the lighter boxes from the truck. She thought it might be smart to start a little slowly, since she was pretty tired after yet another short night. Sooraya put down the box to Lorna's: "If we get the grill here, I can start setting it up if you want. The coals will take a little while to get hot."

Sharon loaded herself up with boxes, glad she had her tail for balance as she climbed down from the van. "I think getting dressed is going to take longer than setting up," she commented with a grin.

"Yes setting up the grill would be a good idea." Lorna walked over to the van just as Sharon jumped down. "I would have to agree with you on that one. Didn't realize how many layers they actually wore back then." Lorna looked around and saw no one was looking and used her powers and brought the grill out and sit down in position.

"Thanks, Ms. Dane." Sooraya headed back to the van and quickly gathered briskets and what she needed to light them. she spread out an even layer of them before tucking a few special blocks in there that could easily be lightened and stroke of a match, holding them near the special blocks.

"You are welcome." Pulling out another box and setting it with the others. "I think throughout the day each of us could take a break and enjoy the fair. Sounds good to you guys?"

Sharon had gone into the back of the van and, completely unabashedly, had stripped so she could put on her costume, pulling various pieces out of a bag. "Sounds good!" she answered, poking her head out and nodding as she sorted through various articles of clothing in her hands.

"EEP!!! Catseye!" Sooraya quickly swirled around. almost dropping her bag with her own costume. "A little warning next time, please?!?!"

Lorna came around what is it Sooraya and looked into the van and turned her head as she grabbed the cooler with the meat in it. "Let me know if you need help you guys. I am going to put this cooler in the shade."

Tilting her head in confusion at Sooraya's yelp, Sharon looked down at herself and giggled. "Oh! Sorry!" She disentangled her clothes and slipped a full-length chemise over her head while she tried to figure out what everything else was. She was attempting to dress as a barmaid because she felt it fit with working at the food stand, but was now regretting she hadn't gone with the rogue costume like she'd been thinking. There were less pieces to the rogue costume!

"I... might need help, yes," Sharon called to Lorna. "I don't know what some of these things are! What are you gonna wear, Sooraya?" she asked conversationally, giving up on the complicated garb and jumping out of the van in just the chemise to offload some more supplies.

"It's something called a bliaut and a chemise... a kind of long, loose dress. I also have a wimple and the style of veils they carried during that time... The woman at the costume rental helped me find something that would be... modest." Sooraya pulled out various pieces of clothing and started organizing them. "Ms. Dane, what kind of outfit do you have?"

Returning back to the van and towards Sharon, "Yea they can be tricky. The trick is to get the white under garment on first and then the rest on." Lorna said as she helped Sharon get the clothes on properly. "Me? Barmaid. I am slightly creative in my choice of outfit."

"Do you have to wear modest clothes even when you're in costume?" Sharon asked Sooraya as Lorna helped dress her, curious. "I mean, even when you're pretending to be someone else?"

Sooraya nodded. "I do. No where in the Koran says you don't have to dress modestly if you are pretending to be someone else." She settled the dress around her body and quickly wrapped a girdle around her waist. Then she eyed the various pieces of white cloth that made up her headgear and asked: "Ms. Dane, would you mind giving me a hand with this? It needs to pinned in place and I don't have a mirror. And Catseye, if you want I'll explain everything to you when we are back home, okay?"

"That's okay, I don't want an explanation," Sharon replied lightly. She really didn't want a lesson in the Koran, having written all organized religion off as nonsensical years ago.

"Thanks Lorna!" Clothes sorted, she jumped out of the van again and grabbed another load of boxes. "Ooo, I found the popcorn balls!"

"Yes, give me a minute with Sharon." Finishing with Sharon and turning over to Sooraya.

"You're welcome my feline friend. Okay Your turn." Taking the pin Lorna got to work with helping Sooraya with her costume. "I think those popcorn balls are going to sell quiet nicely. Hence why I brought more ingredients to make more if need be." That was Lorna always thinking a head. "There. Anything else you need help with?"

Carefully Sooraya patted her head, testing if everything seemed secure. "I think this should work. Thank you, Ms. Dane" She finished off her costume with a circlet she placed over the veil and some kind of overgown to protect it from spatters. "What else do we still need?"

"I think all that is left is unpacking and setting up the shop." Taking out her costume and placing it behind the van. "I have a cash money box in my car, if you want to grab that and put it somewhere safe. Hey Sharon do you want to start putting up the decorations?" Lorna looked at her watch. "The fair is going to open in two hours, so it gives us plenty of time."

"Ooo, can I start writing the menus on the signs? I've been practicing my calligraphy!" Sharon said excitedly, pulling some medieval props like shields and flags decorated with coats of arms and heraldry out of some of the boxes.

"Go for it Sharon. I am going to get dressed, I'll be right out." Lorna said and turned around and climbed into the van to dress herself.

Sooraya dug through Ms. Dane's car, muttering softly about where a box of money could have gone. Finally she found the metal box on the floor in front the passenger seat. Quickly moving it to the stand, she tucked it away out of sight. "Catseye," she said, looking up at her friend who was balancing on a thin ridge. "Do you want me to hand you up things?"

"Sure, thanks! Just lemme finish the writing first," Sharon nodded. "I put a step ladder in the truck, can someone bring it out?"

Lorna walked down after dressing herself, "Step ladder?" Picking it up and walked over to Sharon, "There you go." Putting down the ladder and then tied the strings to her corset. "This is all coming together so nicely. You guys are awesome. Remind me to do something nice for you in the future."

"You don't have to, Ms. Dane. I am glad to help out." Sooraya said while pinning a part of her headgear more securely in place. "Here Catseye." She had the purple haired girl some decorations.

"You can do something nice for me annnnnytime!" Sharon replied happily, using her prehensile tail to aid in hanging the decorations Sooraya was handing over.

"I know Sooraya, but I am going to do it anyways." Lorna smiled at her two helpers as she started to put up the decorations and popcorn balls out onto the stand.
