Tandy has a training session with Scott when things go array.

The jacket was not comfortable and she was hot, tying her hair in a pony tail as she reached the danger room. Tandy wasn't sure what to expect when she was called to do a test run in the danger room to determine how much damage she could actually do with her daggers. She was careful not to use them and she was starting to feel sick again, but not enough to be sent back to the hospital wing. Waiting near the door and looking around for Mir Summers, she presumed this was going to be Dr. Grey's husband, he had said he would do the run with her, "Mr. Summers?" Tandy said when she saw an adult enter the room. She never actually met Mr Summers before, but she had heard about him. "I am Tandy."

Scott looked over at the blonde girl who was waiting by the door. "Nice to finally meet you Miss Bowen, " he smiled as he unlocked the door to the Danger Room. "This is the Danger Room," he said gesturing out across the room. "You'll be training in here with the rest of the new mutants once you get a handle on your powers, which I guess is why we're here today. He noticed her discomfort but mistook it for nervousness, "There's nothing to worry about, we just want to see what kind of power levels you're putting out and how you manifest them."

Tandy looked behind him as he showed her the Danger Room, she wondered what was so dangerous about it since it just looked like an empty room. Nodding a bit, "Yea. I don't want to hurt anyone." Lowering her eyes as she thought about Alice still in a coma. Looking up at him, "I know...but this jacket...how can you guys move in it." She lifted her arms to stretch it out but nothing work, it still felt uncomfortable. "So how do we do this?"

Scott raised an eyebrow at Tandy, "If you thank that's bad then wait till you see the X-men and their uniforms." he told her. "Black Leather, great for protection but it takes a little getting used to. If you want you could leave your jacket by the door, it should be safe there today."

"Black Leather?" Yea, she'll leave it at that. Taking off the jacket and tossing to the side - much better. "Okay, I am ready."

Scott walked over to the wall panel and punched in a code, panels on the floor folding back. "We're just going to test your powers against a variety of materials, try to get an idea of what you can affect and what you can't."

Her blue eyes watched him as he pushed something and the floor started to move. Tandy took a step back and looked won at the raising materials. "So you want me to just use them as target practice?"

"Precisely," Scott confirmed, "We can develop more advanced training exercises once we have more information."

Tandy shrugged, sounded simple enough. "Okay just tell me when."

Scott waited a few more moments for the altars holding the materials to lock into place before gesturing at them. "Have at it."

Tandy looked at the altars holding everything and she closed her eyes and took deep breath in and out. When she opened them the crescent moon over her right eye started to glow brightly. Crossing her arms in front of her and then flew them outwards as ten light daggers appeared from her finger tips and went flying towards their targets.

Some of her daggers disappeared on hit and nothing happened, but with the planets once the daggers hit them they wilted away and died. Tandy wasn't ready to see that and she blinked a couple of seconds, there were other targets that needed to be hit. She continued to through her daggers, a good while, until she leaned forward as a rush of dizziness took her. "How was that?" She managed to say before she fell over, "I am fine...just...dizzy."

Scott rushed over to the teenager, "You're obviously not fine." he pointed out as he knelt by her. "Don't move, just relax. I think you pushed your powers a little bit too far, it happens to a lot of new mutants who're just exploring their powers."

"To be honest Mr Summers. I never used my powers like this before." Tandy gave him a weak smile before holding her stomach and her body gave out. The crescent moon around her eye started to fade, "But really fine...just tired."

Scott glanced down at Tandy in worry, perhaps he should have gone more slowly with the testing. He just hadn't expected the girl to become exhausted so quickly, it could be that something else was playing a part. Making a decision he scooped her up off the floor and made his way to the door. He needed to get someone in the infirmary to check her over.

"I am fine." Tandy insisted, though her voice betrayed her. She felt weak and tired and a little disoriented. Tandy was with Mr Summers in the danger room trying to figure out what exactly does her powers effect and what she could do when she fell over. Now he was carrying her back to the infirmary. "Mr Summers...I am okay." As she rolled her head back, as she couldn't hold herself up anymore. This was a different feeling for her, she didn't feel sick but just weak. Totally opposite from what she normally felt that gave her a weekly visits to the infirmary.

Scott ignored the teenager's claims as he pushed open the door to the infirmary and pushed his way in. Looking around he spotted a familiar redhead working at a desk. "Amelia" he called as he deposited Tandy on the nearest bed. "She just collapsed while we were doing power training in the Danger Room."

The expression on the Russian doctor's face was a bit more severe than "oh bother.", but her motions were precise and efficient as she came over to examine the young blonde. "I am certain you are not fine, despite your protests to the contrary. Open." She held out a thermometer, and stuck it in Tandy's mouth, and then began the process of taking blood pressure, heart rate (with the cold stethoscope - all of her stethoscopes were cold.) and making notes on the digital note pad. "Describe the incident." She said, not even looking at Scott, but at the blood pressure monitor.

Tandy opened her mouth and closed it. Laying up at the ceiling, "Cold..." She mumbled through the thermometer and looked over at the two adults. Her vision blurred a bit and she closed her eyes, rest...sleep is good.

"We were testing the effects of her powers on various materials, testing her range and what was affected by her daggers." Scott informed the doctor. "We had been at it for around half an hour when she just folded up and collapsed in the middle of the room. There was no sign that anything was wrong, one moment she's attacking a wooden plank the next she's on the floor."

Amelia did not comment, but took the thermometer out of Tandy's mouth, and removed the blood pressure cuff. "Temperature, blood pressure and pulse are lower than they should be for a woman of her age and weight. I am going to take a blood sample to check her blood sugar and iron levels, but I suspect that Miss Bowen has exhausted herself." The implication was that this was clearly not just Scott's fault, but that he was equally to blame. "I will instruct Miss Collins to retrieve a blanket and juice, and monitor her for the next several hours."

"Thank you Amelia," Scott said sincerely, "So she'll be ok if she just gets some rest?" he clarified. Glancing down at the unconscious girl he smiled wryly,"Well that's one way to find your limit I guess, although not really one that I like the students using. The X-Man's tone might have been light but he was going over the training session in his head wondering where he had missed the signs that Tandy was pushing herself too far. "Are there going to be complications with her exhausting herself?" he asked worriedly as the thought struck him, "She generates some excess for of energy she manifests as daggers of light. It builds up until she unleashes it all at once, wearing herself out won't cause her powers to hurt her will they?"

"Unknown, but plausible." Amelia answered. "We will need to explore her condition further. In the meantime, she needs rest."

"Let me know what you find," Scott replied, " and make sure that she is more careful next time we train. I guess we'll need to limit the length of her training sessions as well, half an hour seems like her maximum for now."
