Tandy meets Johnny on his first day back Backdated to August 23rd.

Tandy made her way downstairs towards the rec room after logging off the computer, careful not to trip over her own two feet on the stairs. Walking into the rec room a couple of minutes later, "Hello?"

Johnny had been sitting perched on the back of the couch, reading a book he'd picked up off the shelves in the rec room. He whirled at the sound of the voice, danger sense flaring, dropping the book and came dangerously close to falling off his perch. "Hey... Tandy, right?" he asked, trying to slow the pounding of his heart.

"Did I scare you?" Tandy asked with an amused look. "Yup the one and only unless you know any other Tandys', then I'll be both shocked that someone named their poor kid a stripper name and amazed that there is an actual another Tandy." Tandy hid her smile by turning to take a seat on the other couch. "Nice to meet you."

"Broken danger sense, remember? Everything startles me right now." He wasn't going to dignify it by calling it fear. Oh no. "So... Tandy is your actual, honest to God name?" Johnny jumped down to pick up the book and tossed it back onto the shelf.

"Ah right. Mosquito...car..." Tandy sighed and looked down in defeat, "Yes...I know how bad it is...Some people call me Andy or hey you...don't ask me what my mother was thinking..." Crossing her legs Indian style on the couch. "You've been here before haven't you?"

Johnny nodded, mirroring her position on his couch. "Yeah, I was here for about six months, like three years ago before I went back home."

"Wow, so short..." She was not going to open that can of worms. "Well welcome back then." Tandy smiled before leaning back. "So what do you like to do?"

"Oh, you know... I game a bit. I read a bit. I really like parkour. Stuff, you know. How about you?" He gave Tandy a smile.

"Parkour? You mean those running on the walls and jumping from roof to roof? There was a movie that was all about that. District B-13 was the name. Me? I like a lot of things, movies, theater and video games. There are others but they are like super girlie." Giving the boy a grin.

"District B-13? I never heard of it. Dude, it doesn't matter that they're girlie. What are they?"

"You say you like parkour but never watched it?!" Tandy mouth dropped open. "That's it man this weekend here in the rec room this weekend you me and a movie of District B-13. It's a French film but they have it dubbed and it isn't that bad." The blonde shook her head, "Fashion. But I like to make my own. My mom is a fashion designer, ex-model. I guess it runs in the family."

"Well, no. Like I said, I never heard of it. Fashion huh? Cool."

"We will watch it." Tandy nodded. "Yeah, totally girlie. What kind of stuff do you like to read?"

"Cool." Johnny nodded. "I like those kind of - I guess you call them airport novels? And some manga."

"Airport novels..." Tandy said as the name was foreign to her, "Aren't those the really thick books? Manga is cool, know any Japanese?"

"The really thick ones written by people like Dan Brown and those guys, yeah... I can't speak Japanese. You can, right?"

"No, I only know how to say hello. I wonder if they offer language courses here or if we have to go down to the city for something like that." Tandy ponder at the thought. "Have you ever dyed your hair a different color?"

"They do languages here. They do everything here." Johnny shook his head. "I've never died it. It seems like, I don't know, silly to bother?"

Tandy put her finger to her lips as she thought about maybe adding on a language class. "Was just asking. Besides the white is unique and it looks good. Planning on going to school while you are here?" The blonde didn't think he was young enough to be in high school still but it couldn't hurt to ask.

"School?" Johnny asked. "No, I uh, I already graduated about year ago." He started at a noise (a tree branch tapping on the window) and gradually relaxed a little again.

"No college then?" Looking over at the window and than back over at Johnny.

What was it with the college question? Johnny spared a moment wishing

his danger sense had warned him about that before shaking his head. "No... I didn't do too good at school so I'm not going." And, he wasn't entirely sure that he could afford it, either.

Tandy rubbed the back of her head a bit, "Yes before the mansion...towards the end of the school year. Took a bus to New York to see my Uncle, didn't tell him that I didn't leave a note until my step-dad called and asked where I was...couple of weeks later. My powers manifested on the last night I was too be in New York. Yup, what a trip." Pausing. "But everything is fine now."

If there was one thing Johnny had learned the last time he was at the mansion, it was that you never, ever pressed someone when they gave you answer that intentionally vague. He left that aside and said simply. "Wow. That's tough"

Tandy smirked just a bit. "Yeah, a bit. So since we are down here, want to play a game or something?"

"Yeah, alright."
