Log: Jubilee, Kurt, and Sam, Saturday evening (backdated to September 28)

While staying at the Guthrie homestead, Jubilee sneaks in and visits Kurt while Sam is sleeping. Backdated way back to September 28!


Jubilee slipped through the window to the room Kurt was sharing with Sam, her feet touching down on the carpeted floor with no sound at all. She'd been in her yesterday, testing for creaks and had noticed a day previously that Sam and Kurt never locked the window, even if they did keep it closed due to the slowly cooling weather. She paused to allow her eyes to adjust to the lower light level in the room before moving over to the bed Kurt was sleeping in, settling in beside him carefully before she poked a gentle finger against a ticklish spot in his side.

He'd always been a light sleeper and jumped at the touch, eyes snapping wide open and straight to her... and then relaxed, laughing quietly, and murmured, "The window? Really?"

Sam, being a heavier sleeper, remained quiet and still in his own bed, snoring ever so lightly. They'd hauled in another bed for Kurt and thankfully he'd only had to share his room with his present suite mate and none of the other Guthrie clan. It was good to be the oldest sometimes.

"It's traditional," Jubilee replied, stealing his pillow to place it under her own head as she settled down beside him. "I figured as long as I leave before Hayseed wakes up in the morning, noones they wiser."

"It is true I missed you", he admitted, reaching for her hand. "And from experience, Sam can sleep through almost anything."

"Well, we won't traumatize him too much," Jubilee replied with a grin, leaning down for a kiss. "Besides, we've got an entire farm, I'm pretty sure we can find somewhere private. I will totally give you a roll in the hay if you ask nicely."

Coughing at the roll in the hay comment, Sam, who'd woken up shortly before said comment, contemplated feigning sleep but figured he couldn't fool his two friends. He coughed again, then sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Oh, hey guys, what, uh. What's up?" He kept his eyes covered just in case they needed time to cover up or something, which he really hoped they didn't.

"Sam!" Kurt said cheerfully - and with a little guilt, but no shame, especially since they hadn't got to any point requiring covering up. "I hope it was not us who woke you. Jubilee just came for a visit."

"Visit, fall asleep here and then sneak out in the morning, whichever is most appropriate," Jubilee admitted with a grin, leaning her chin against Kurt's chest. "Anyhoo, totally what Kurt said, dude. Sorry if we woke you."

"Nah, no worries, it's all good." Sam ran one of his hands through his hair, squinting a little as he yawned. "'M probably just gonna go back to sleep anyway, heh." While he hardly ever slept in these days, he was far from used to getting up as early as he did back in his days at home. Plus he figured Kurt and Jubilee would appreciate some time alone, as it were.

"As you like", Kurt said easily, running an absent hand through Jubilee's hair. "We are on holiday, after all."

"Night, Sam," Jubilee said, turning her head sideways to use Kurt as a pillow as she cuddled closer. She could slip out in the morning, for now she just wanted to enjoy a good snuggle with her boyfriend.

Kurt smiled and wrapped his arms around her, quite willing to do pillow duty. "Good night, Sam. We will not wake you again."
