Tandy’s biological father, Nathan Tyler, whom she has never met shows up at the Manor and takes her out for what seems like a harmless lunch. But Nathan has other plans in stored.
Trigger Warning: Mention of Death/Drugging of a Minor
This plot has some potentially distressing content
The little restaurant he'd picked out in Salem wasn't that crowded, which made it much easier for Nathan to talk with his daughter. The food was also decent, in his humble opinion, if a little old fashioned. They'd had a nice meal and now they were about to enjoy their dessert, once Tandy got back from the washroom at least. He checked his watch, making sure that they were within the time he said he'd bring her back to the school, which they were.
Smiling as Tandy rounded a corner and came into view, Nathan waved at her. "Dessert's here, hon. Looks good too."
Tandy slide back into the booth and look over at the man who was her father - a father she never met. She was still feeling pretty numb after the news her uncle gave her to her father randomly showing up. The blonde barely touched her food and though the dessert did look good, she still wasn't hungry. "Thanks..." Picking at the dessert on her plate.
"What's wrong, Tandy?" He'd noticed her apparent lack of appetite and, while it should have been patently obvious how awkward the situation was, Nathan wasn't cluing into it. "You feeling sick or something?" He sipped at his coffee, nodding recognition to the waitress as she dropped off their check.
"What is wrong? My parents just died. You showed up out of the blue. I don't even know you. You were never there for me and now you want to be buddy-buddy?" Looking down at her dessert, "I just don't know what to think."
Nathan reached out for her hand, nodding as she spoke. "I know, sweetheart, it's a lot to handle. And you're right, I wasn't there for you. I'm sorry about that and I wish there was something I could do to change that, I really do, but I know there isn't. But what I can do - what I want to do - is be here for you now." He squeezed her hand, smiling a little. "You know, I bet eating a bit of your dessert just might help a tiny bit, hmm?"
Tandy didn't pull away when he reached out to her, this was really the man that left her and her mother. Her blue eyes looked back at the dessert before her, it was really rude. Picking up the fork she leaned forward and started to pick at it before putting a bit in her mouth.
"There you go, Tandy." Watching her eat, Nathan grinned and patted his daughter's hand. "It'll be ok, don't you worry. Things will be just fine, I'll take care of it, I promise." His eyes flicked to his watch for a brief instant before returning to her, making sure she continued eating.
Tandy took another bite and sighed in between chews. It wasn't long before she finished the whole thing, "I guess I was hungry." Smirking a bit before her vision blurred a bit. "Something is wrong..." She tried to stand up but fell over a bit.
Nathan just sat there and continued to watch her eat. When she tried to stand he reached out to steady her, helping her back into her seat. "Whoa, careful there, Tandy. Shhh, it'll be ok, just rest your eyes and sleep for a bit." He'd hopefully calculated the right dosage to incapacitate her long enough to whisk her away where he wanted.
When the waitress walked by with a quizzical look on her face, he just grinned and nodded his head at his daughter. "Overtired, the poor dear. Time to take her home." Well, to his home anyway.
Tandy looked over at the man, "What...." She didn't even finish her sentence before she slipped into darkness.
