Tandy and Maddie: A Strange Occurence
Jan. 26th, 2013 10:02 amWhile resting on the suite's couch, Maddie has two very different conversations with Tandy.
Maddie's right foot was propped up on a pillow as the rest of her sprawled out on the suite's communal sofa. In her vast intelligence, she had slipped on a piece of ice and twisted her ankle while trying to regain her balance. Thankfully, it didn't hurt that much, but it did mean that she needed to rest for awhile. And she had plenty of homework to keep her occupied while she did.
Tandy was jittery and she simply couldn't stay in one place for long. She tried to play a game, going for a long walk, re-organizing her closet, even doing her homework - which resulted in drawing eyes in the dark on the corner of the paper. "Ow fucking shit." She yelled as a loud crash came from within her bedroom and a few second later Tandy emerged bleeding on her arm and towards the kitchenette to clean off the cut. The blond was glowing brightly as her emotions ran high at the moment, "Gotta stop...slow down breath...hmm." She whispered to herself, Tandy was just getting worse.
It would have been impossible to ignore Tandy's entrance even if Maddie hadn't been looking for an excuse to be distracted. Books were immediately set aside as the redhead observed her suitemate's behavior; she seemed more than a little wound up. "Hey Glowworm? You all right?"
Looking up to see Maddie on the couch, "Yes. No. I..." Tandy shook her head as she shut off the water and put a paper towel on small cut. "...fine. I am fine. Everything is fine." Carefully she took out her cellphone and sent a quick message and got a response before putting it into her pocket. "Just need...some air."
"O-kay," the redhead said to herself as the door closed. Hopefully the fresh air would do some good, because Tandy was anything but fine.

"Hey Maddie." Tandy walked back into the suite and sat down on a nearby chair. The blonde was not in distressed like how she displayed earlier, running a hand through her hair as she leaned back into the chair in a relaxed state, "How is your foot?"
Well apparently the fresh air worked. Like really worked. To turn the hot mess that had blown through before into this calm, cool, confident Tandy was nothing short of a miracle. Maddie had been afraid that her suitemate was going to give herself a heart attack from how panicked she was. "Hey Pod-Person-Tandy," replied a skeptical Maddie from her roost. "I thought we made a pact that when the aliens invaded we were going to tell one another."
"Hmm? I can assure you Maddie, no aliens have attacked. At least to my knowledge. Ooo! Want to watch Mars Attacks?" Tandy asked her suitemate, she may have come off excited to ask about watching the movie but it was lacking emotion in her voice.
"That's exactly what a Pod-Person would say." And sound like, but Maddie didn't add that part. Something was going on that Tandy wasn't telling her, and probably wouldn't. Still, Maddie was intent on figuring this out. "Is that what you went outside in," she asked, ignoring the question of film selection, nodding to the other girl's outfit. "How are you not freezing?"
The blonde looked down at her clothing, "I didn't go outside. I stopped by the other girls' suite for awhile...." Her voice trailed off as she zoned out on her fingernails.
Maddie was watching Tandy's actions as carefully as she could without being obvious. The marked change in behavior, the blank expression in her eyes, avoidance, the robotic, emotionless voice. It was like she was drugged out on mood altering drugs. But she had said the other suite. Sue didn't do drugs, and she couldn't imagine Molly doing them either, but Topaz didn't seem like the type either. But Topaz drew power from emotions. And if that were the case....
Maddie almost wished it was drugs.
"That reminds me. I totally borrowed a pen from Topaz in class. Was she in there? I mean I could give it to her next class, but knowing me I'll probably forget. And I'm no pen stealer."
"Whaa?" Tandy looked up at Maddie, "Topaz? Yea she was there. Are you sure you want to walk?" She started to slump to one side on the chair and curl up into a ball and yawned. "I mean you don't want to hurt yourself anymore than you have right?"
That was all the confirmation that Maddie needed that something foul was afoot. She sighed. "You're right Tandy. I really don't need to go over there right now. I'll write a note on a Sticky Note so I don't forget."
"I just hope it doesn't fall off."
"Your foot won't fall off." Tandy said, not catching the first part of Maddie's sentence. "But if it does I'll help you put it back on." The blonde stood up and stretched, "I am going to take a little nap."
"Sweet dreams, Tandy."
It was time to plan Mission: Interrogate Topaz. That little witch wasn't going to get away with this, not if Maddie had anything to say about it. And there was a whole heap she had to share.
