Kurt and Jubilee, Valentine's Day
Feb. 14th, 2013 09:40 pmThey have some comfortable alone time and an important admission is made.
Sitting on the couch by the open fire in their room, Jubilee curled up in his lap, Kurt - true to his word - was massaging her neck and shoulders. "I brought oils", he murmured in her ear. "But you would have to move and take your clothes off for those."
"Mmmhmm," Jubilee groaned softly as his fingers hit a particularly tense spot in her shoulders, readjusting herself to a more comfortable position which also happened to give him better access. "I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna be able to move if you keep doing that."
"Perhaps later, then", he said, tenderly working over the knot he'd found. "We have all weekend, after all, and I find I am not so inclined to move either. And if you cannot move when this is done, I can always carry you."
"I'm thinking that's an excellent idea," Jubilee sighed, rolling her shoulders and leaning into his caress. "Can I just note that should you feel inclined to kidnap me to a romantic getaway like this at any time in the future, I will not protest at all."
"Then I will have to make a habit of spoiling you", was the warmly amused response, along with lips pressed briefly to the back of her neck. "I plan to teach you to see how special you are."
"You don't need to save me, you know," Jubilee replied, turning a little so she could face him properly, her hand going to his cheek. "I love that you want to, but I'm not the being saved kinda woman, I just don't want you thinking I'm like, breakable or fragile or somethin' like that."
"If you were fragile, mein herz", he said more seriously, meeting her eyes as he tilted his head into her hand, "you would have shattered into little pieces long before now. I know how strong you are, and that you are not in any need of rescue, but... I do wish you could believe you are worthy of being loved as I love you." Quickly, before she could respond, he laid a finger to her lips. "But I stand by what I said before. I do not want to hear anything because you feel you should say it, before you are ready for it to be true in your heart. I can wait."
Jubilee smiled, pulling his hand away from her mouth so she could kiss him properly. "I am beginning to believe it, I'm just not sure you're a particularly
unbiased source of information."
It was teasing, hopefully moving them past where things might be awkward because she couldn't return his sentiment, not yet. Not because she felt nothing, but because she wasn't entirely sure she knew what she felt, or even how much of it she felt. She didn't want to hurt him, and she needed time to process this before she could say anything.
"Ah, but sometimes the biased sources are exactly the ones you should listen to", he returned lightly, and kissed the corner of her mouth. "Anyone will tell you how stubborn I can be when I want something, and you are stuck with me, Jubilation Lee."
"Promise me you won't let me hurt you," she said, kissing him again, harder this time before pulling away. "I'm like, totally serious here. You have my
permission to like, kick my ass to the kerb if I ever hurt you."
His hands ran up her neck and face, into her hair, before he answered. "I promise. But you and I, we have an understanding, yes? Things may
be unusual between us, but if there is honesty... that is how to avoid more hurt than need be. So a promise from you in return - always
honesty, no matter how bad the truth is."
"I promise," Jubilee said, smiling through the sudden urge for tears that she held back with a rapid blink. "Now, I think it's time we move this somewhere a bit more comfortable, don't you?"
as he walked them toward the bedroom. "We wouldn't want to waste them, after all, that would just be wrong."

"I'm definitely thinking oils is a double plus good thought," Jubilee murmured, wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him a quick kissas he walked them toward the bedroom. "We wouldn't want to waste them, after all, that would just be wrong."
