Sooraya stops by Angelo's office for a short fishing expedition.

"Please don't tell me you are working?" Sooraya glared just a little when Angelo gave the okay for her to open the door. "I saw your login was still active." She added as short explanation for her appearance.

"It's not that late", he said absently, peering over a stack of papers at her.  "This is pretty routine, I've got to keep on top of things."

"It's seven in the evening in the weekend. Seems too late to be working to me." Sooraya simply stated. She looked him over, glad he seemed just mostly very busy. The glare in her eyes faded away and was replaced by a twinkle. "Many people would say they have far better places to be then in an office."

"I took more time out than usual for Skype calls", Angelo pointed out.  "Everybody's fine and says hi back, by the way.  And they would, would they?"

"Good to hear everyone is doing well. The little ones must be getting big by now." Sooraya firmly pushed away any associated memories that brought up. "And yes, many people our age would be going out. With friends for example. Or..."

Suddenly her stomach growled a little and she paused for a moment, bending down and pulling two plastic boxes from her bag. She easily opened both, one containing some cut fresh veggies with tzatziki, the other bits of pita bread with hummus. "Would you like some also? I was on my way up from the kitchen after making a few snacks when I saw you were still on."

"This is not on the way to the living floors from the kitchens", he noted, narrowing his eyes at her.  "Are you trying to feed me again?"

"Should I have?" Sooraya raised an eyebrow. "I had made this because I was feeling a little peckish, but not really in the mood to cook extensively. Then I saw you were still logged in and decided to make a detour. I am still peckish and that polite girl among the students would say: 'It's rude not to share'." And no need to tell Angelo about the fact that she had hopped back into the kitchen to enlarge the portions a little first.

In reply Sooraya held up her own laptop. "I was logged in to download some reports. Internet at Empire State can be kinda annoying sometimes, so I prefer just to have them already." She bit into a baby carrot and when she had finished chewing she continued: "But to finish my sentence... or they are going out with someone else?"

"Ah, okay."  He ate a mouthful of veggies, meditatively, then raised his eyebrows at her.  "Sooraya, are you trying to ask me if I'm going out with somebody?"

Sooraya's eyes twinkled again. "I asked no such thing." She stated with dignity. "But if there is something you wanted to share?" She raised her eyebrow again, this time playfully. "I heard you were away on Valentines Day..."

"I was."  He grinned at her teasingly.  "I had a very nice dinner and a fancy hotel room."

"That sounds quite romantic..." Sooraya thought for second, then simply decided to go for the kill. "So who was the lucky one? Inquiring minds wanna know."

"Inquiring minds will have to keep wondering or figure it out for themselves", he said firmly.  "We'd rather not be the next hot topic on the gossip mill."

"You know me better then that, Angelo." Sooraya's eyes widened in mock hurt. "You know I would never spread it around."

"You might not, but the walls have ears in this place, what with the super senses and the invisible girl with the funny sense of humor.  Sorry, not saying, but it is someone in our circles."

"You want me to guess? Then you need to give me a little more." Sooraya took a moment to nibble on some bread with hummus. "We could play Twenty Questions?" She playfully suggested.

Angelo considered this, then shrugged.  "Sure, we can if you really want to figure it out that bad.  But if you don't get it after twenty questions, you have to quit asking."

"You don't have to if you don't want to. You know that. I just like seeing the smile she just brought to your face..."

He paused briefly, wondering if he should correct Sooraya's assumption of a 'she', then decided not yet.  He'd sound her out on the idea in general, first, and do it carefully out of the context of this conversation in case it upset her religious morals. "It is making me pretty happy", he agreed.  "It started not long after Africa, but we only made it official a couple of weeks ago."

"Not too long after Africa... I don't recall anyone really new to our circles... Unless..." She suddenly remembered the mission to Budapest. "It can't be Jenny?" The thought was fairly unlikely, since her former suite mate had not seemed quite in a state to go looking for a new relationship. But you never know...

"I never said it was a new arrival.  And... Jennie?  No.  I haven't even seen her in person since she came back."

"She was a bit out of the left field. That still leaves far too many possibilities." Sooraya had to giggle a little as she thought about her next question. "Hmmm... does this mystery live in the mansion?"

"Yes", he answered, and left it at that, giving her another wicked grin.

"You are being sneaky." Sooraya grabbed another carrot and chewed thoughtfully. "Well, Dr. Grey is married, Ms. Frost is dating Mr. Kane, Dori is still dating Kyle and Yvette just had her first date with Fred. And I think Angel would have told me if she was dating anyone... You are not making this easy."

"I've known Angel too long, she'll always be a kid to me."  He popped a piece of bread in his mouth.  "And you're right to think it's not anybody that's involved with somebody else, never doing that again...  It wouldn't be fun if it was easy."

"So she would be around your age?" And the never doing that again... what did that mean?

"Little bit younger, but only by a couple of years, so yeah, I guess around my age would still fit."

"Little younger? Lorna is older then you..." Sooraya kept a close eye on his face as she listed names. "Uhm Clarice? Catseye? Paige?"

"Okay, a), Paige has a boyfriend, he's just away a lot, and b) she and I did date, years ago, it didn't work out.  Not Clarice and not Catseye."

"You're dating Crystal in Attilan?"

"Do I strike you as the kind of guy who dates royalty?"

Sooraya tossed him another small glare. "Then I am out of idea. Give me another hint."

He grinned at her, projecting innocence but clearly having fun.  "Not American.  And no, it's not Marie-Ange."

"I am guessing you and Amanda didn't get together again..." Sooraya mentally ran along the list of the other member's of X-Force and X-Factor that she knew. "I believe Jubilee is dating someone. Nico? Sarah? Cammie?"

"American and too young, American and not the dating type, American and literally toxic", he listed off.

"I give up." Sooraya tossed up her hands. "And I am guessing you're not having an ounce of pity on my."

"Nope."  He beamed at her cheerfully.  "We had a deal and you'll figure it out sooner or later."

"One word: evil. You are just evil."
