Sue and Tandy: I'm sorry (Very Backdated)
Jan. 27th, 2013 04:44 pmSue stops by to check on Tandy after hearing that she had gotten herself into trouble.
"Sorry no one is home at the moment. Leave a note and Tan will get back to you when she can." The voice called out from the other side of the door. The teenager felt horrible as she turned and put her head under her pillow to drown out the knocking on her door.
"Come on Tan" Sue replied softly, "Open the door, please" The girl knocked softly one more time and rested her head against the door. With everything that had been going on Sue had been sick with worry about her friend.
Staring at the wall when she heard Sue on the other side of the door. It wasn't that Tandy didn't want to see Sue, but could she face her after all she did. The teen sighed wondering if she would regret letting Sue in as she didn't like when people saw her at her most vulnerable. "Door is open."
Sue pushed the door open and slipped into the room, letting the door swing shut behind her she took a few moments to let her eyes get accustomed to the dim lighting in her friend's room, "Hey? How're you doing?" she asked awkwardly crossing over to sit on the end of the bed.
"Bad." The blonde said from under the covers, "I let Topaz zap away my bad emotions so I can't feel it now it is coming back worse than ever."
Sue blinked owlishly at Tandy, her friend had achieved the impossible Sue was at a loss for words. "You did what now?" Sue managed to say as she pulled the covers of the bed down so she could look at Tandy. She had known that the other blonde was having trouble coping with everything that had happened recently, but she had never thought that something like this could happen.
"I am honestly surprised you haven't heard." Tandy went to pull up her covers, cause know she was cold. "Don't make me repeat it. I already feel bad enough as already."
Sue shook her head as if to deny the whole thing, "Nobody told me anything," she told Tandy disbelief, anger and worry all warring for a place in her voice. "Why?"
Tandy gave Sue a knowing look when the other blonde asked why, "'Cause feeling sucks. And I got sleep." She knew no matter what answer she gave people it might not be enough, so she just kept it short and to the point.
Sue gave Tandy a level look, "And so you decided to let her make you into a zombie?" she demanded pushing off the bed. "That explains why you've been so weird, like two different people. How often?"
"Since Slenderman? Every day except for Friday. I was sleeping." Tandy hide her head under the covers. "The last time was on Saturday, but...Maddie caught on and then everyone found out."
By this time Sue was wearing a track in the carpet of Tandy's room as she paced back and forward on the floor trying to put this all together in her head."and it got to the point where you couldn't sleep without it?" She guessed. "If it got that bad, why didn't you come and talk to me Tandy? I'm supposed to be your friend, supporting each other is what friends do."
The blonde winced as Sue played the friend card. "I'm sorry Sue. I don't know what to say."
Sue shook her head and continued pacing, "Not good enough Tandy," The looks Sue turned to face her friend, a look of Anguish clearly visible on her face. "You've got to say something," she pleaded, "Why didn't you come to me? I've got to know, I can't have let you down too."
"Something." Tandy said plainly and buried her head under her pillow for a moment. "I didn't go to anyone. Annnnyyyyoooonnneeee." Her voice was muffled from being under the pillow but she didn't care.
"Smartass," Sue replied struggling to hold onto her anger and not to giggle, the shorter blonde sighed and moved over to the bed nudging Tandy to one side and lying down next to her. "I'm still mad at you," she told her friend as she slipped an arm around her, "but I'm really glad you're ok."
"I try." Tandy moved over and came out from hiding to look up at her friend. "I know. I don't expect people not to be mad at me." She gave Sue a slight smile. "Me too. Mr. Haller told me it could had been a lot worse. A lot worse."
"So you'll come and talk to someone next time before trying to become some kinda unfeeling zombie?" Sue asked, "I know you love your zombie movies and all, but I'd have thought you'd learn what happens to the zombies in those movies. I'd rather not have you get your head blown off by the intrepid survivors. Finding a new best friend would be too much effort."
Tandy smirked a bit and turned to look up at the ceiling, "Yea I don't think you could find a better best friend then me. No one is cool enough."
"But seriously, I know and I will. Promise."
"Someone's pretty sure of themselves today aren't they?" Sue teased. "Give me a couple of billions dollars and I could always replace you with the Tandy-bot, all the friendship you need plus a handy vacuum cleaner to boot." Sue grinned at her friend.
"You'd better, you had us worried for a bit back there. And what was Topaz thinking agreeing to go along with this?" Sue asked rhetorically, subconsciously clenching her fist.
"True but it be lacking the personality." She lowered her eyes and looked away. To be honest, Tandy didn't want to go into the reasons why Topaz did. "She had her reasons."
"But it wouldn't spend all day buried in videogames or watching movies either," Sue pointed out with smile. "She had her reasons I can't think of anything that would justify what she did, it's totally an abuse of her powers or something."
"Where is the fun of that?" Tandy looked over at Sue with a raised eyebrow. "Yea she had her reasons. Just like how I had my reasons as unholy as they were. She is a nice girl, a little distant and misunderstood."
"A nice girl?" Sue shook her head, "Where's that coming from? Even if we ignore all this," she swept a hand around Tandy's room, "she still hardly ever socializes, and when she does it's only cause she doesn't have a choice. She's always so distant and cold, not really what I'd think of as a nice person."
"Don't judge a book by it's cover Sue. She is from Europe, doesn't have any family and was brought here. How would you feel? I think I would be a little more distant too...foreign country with weird people in it. And yea, I think she is nice."
"You're right I shouldn't," Sue apologized, "but I do have to judge her by her actions cause that's all I got. And You've got to admit, she doesn't exactly make it easy for anyone to get to know her past them." Sue sighed as she slumped down in the bed and gave Tandy a weak smile, "I'll talk to her and form an opinion on that, but no promises."
"Bah actions. But you are right. She doesn't." Sighing and burying her head again. "You will like her if you get to know her."
"We'll see," Sue hedged, she wasn't counting on it herself but for Tandy's sake she'd give the other girl a second chance; but she'd be watching her until Topaz proved herself one way of the other.
