Julian decides to talk to Angel about his...issues with Clint.

Two mugs of coffee to hand, Julian reached the top of the stairs without spilling a drop of the piping hot liquid. Another five doors down before he turned and then a few more before he arrived in the open air archway to the library. Looking around, he saw the second cup's owner and made his way toward her, the small pile of creamers, sweeteners, spoons and napkins following close behind him in a telekinetic field- rattling ever-so-slightly.

"Mmmm..." Angel murmured before she was even consciously aware of why. Coffee. There was coffee oh so very close by. She looked up, smiling when she saw who was walking towards her with said coffee. "Tell Tandy I'm sorry, I really am, but I'm completely in love with you and I'm taking you back," she joked as she eyed the cups. "As long as one of those is mine, at least. Otherwise the whole deal's off."

"I don't know what you're talking about, I need two cups to maintain my study-free lifestyle," with a wink he set a mug down on the table and held the other out to her, the pile of accessories landing between them in a jumbled mess. "How goes the good fight?"

"Jerk." Angel laughed as she took the cup, taking a long sip. "Mmmmmm. So good." She went for the sugar next, pouring in an unnecessary amount as she spoke. "The good fight is long since lost and futile. Thing my brain stopped processing information somewhere around hour six but the idea of standing up and taking a break seems like more effort than it's worth. Vicious cycle. So what brings you to this part of the mansion on such a....well, I'd say nice day but it's actually pretty nasty outside. But you get where I'm going with this."

"Aside from watching you reaffirm my choice to delay my enrollment for a semester? I was hoping to barrow your brain for a bit," in truth, Julian had been considering not going back to school- but it wasn't something he was ready to speak to anyone about yet. "If you have the brain power and time, I mean."

"Mmm, I'm sure I can rally up a bit of both for ya." Talking to Julian meant taking a break. She'd take it. She took another long sip of coffee. "What's going on?"

Picking up his mug and cradling it in both hands, Julian let it cool a bit, "It's Clint...and Tandy, and the whole "Bowler" situation." His eyes rolled slightly as the word Bowler had passed his lips. "I'm sort of losing control of the situation and thought you might have some insight on Clint and why he's being a class-one asshole."

Angel tilted her head, finger tracing around the rim of the cup. "Clint being an ass? That's a new one, he's usually a pretty easy-going kid. I know he and Tandy used to date, but that was over a year ago now and I'm pretty sure he ended it so I mean...jealousy probably isn't it. Maybe he's worried? But you guys are just faking the whole thing so there's no reason to worry. Unless you two are actually....bowling now?" A slight smirk pulled at her lips. She couldn't help it.

Justin leveled her a 'did you really just say that?' look, shook his head and smiled. "If we were, I would be striking out...wait, no...you want strikes in bowling right?" He shrugged, "Such a plebian sport. To summarize, no, Tandy and I are just friends." He took a sip of coffee, "Easy going would not be how I would describe Clint- I said hello the other day and he threatened my life. He knows I'm a telekinetic, right?" With a slight shrug, he took another sip.

Angel smirked back, stirring her coffee up before taking a sip again. "Yeah, you want strikes in bowling. Anyways he's a teenage, possibly hormone-driven boy, I think your telekinesis isn't something he's too worried about. You know what you were like at seventeen." She paused for a moment. "God I make us sound old. It sounds like he might just be worried about Tandy's well being. They're still friends, and you guys aren't exactly making all the smartest decision."

"I'll have you know I was a perfect gentleman when I was seventeen. I mean, you dated me," he smirked, "and what do you mean we aren't making the smartest decisions?"

"Oh I remember." Angel winked. "Well, parachuting over the lake, for starters. Not that I don't love death-defying stunts as much as the next person, but I can, ya know, fly. And if something went horribly wrong you probably could've saved yourself. You're both adults and whatever choices you make are totally yours, I'm not gonna sit here and scold you. But Tandy has friends who are probably worried about her - Clint included."

"Alcohol may have factored into that choice," Julian admitted, taking another sip. "Yeah, I can see how they may be worried- but Tandy's been through some stuff lately...it's helpful to do crazy stuff, it reaffirms that you're alive. And you know I would have saved her before myself." He sighed, leaning back slightly in the chair, which creaked loudly, drawing shushing from other corners of the library, "I can see where they may be concerned- but it's problematic that he's behaving like this. I don't wish him any ill will- but I'm worried his behavior is taking him down a dark path. He may try to do something."

"I know Tandy's been through some stuff. Everyone knows about it, but I don't think they'd all agree with your philosophy. I will talk to Clint, I don't think he'd ever really hurt anyone, things have just been...Not Good lately." Hope disappearing had put them all on edge, Maddie had left, Tandy was doing stupid things...it was no wonder Clint was wound up, really. "And he's a very protective person."

"Tandy is her own person, she makes her own choices, it's not his job to protect her," Julian chuckled, "hell, isn't it more our job to protect Clint?" Shaking his head, "You make good points, and I wouldn't approach him about it. If the guy is dead set on not liking me, then there's nothing I can do to stop it." After a moment of thinking, "Damn, I'm his Nick...hope it ends better than that did."

"We always want to protect our friends. That's just the way we are, isn't it?" Angel smiled as she sipped her coffee. "The way he's acting isn't totally ideal, it's true, and it definitely sucks to have that animosity but...hey. That's part of being human. I don't think he'll do anything about it though. Unless you actually get Tandy hurt in which case Clint punching you out might be the least of your worries. The magic folk are quite fond of her too."

"Well," Julian smirked over the rim of his mug, "if they turn me into a toad, I'm sure I can count on you to kiss me back into the prince I am."
