xp_logsIn which Tandy and Rogue do some bonding while spending money
Their last day in Mississippi. Last evening, actually, and Rogue still hadn't spent any money on herself.
Unacceptable.
"Hey, princess," she called out to the other bed. "How have we not gone shopping yet? And why are we jus' layin' here watching crappy TV when we could be exploring?" Julian and Jessica had gone out to do their own exploring earlier, with Tandy and Rogue choosing to stay behind.
Clearly, not the smartest choice. "Should we move our lazy butts?"
Tandy looked over at Rogue and smirked, "You know a good place?"
"No," she admitted, "but we have two feet and loads of cute between us. Bet we could find something without too much trouble." Dragging herself up, she grabbed her phone and started to google. "You know, I never went to Jackson much when I was little. Too far and too expensive. I mean, we weren't poor or nothin' but we still didn't do it."
"Lets go shopping then?" Tandy rolled over to get up from the other bed. "How often are we going on vacation?"
"Aiight." She slid off the bed,more out of sloth than anything else, and reached her hand towards the keys. "Ever wish for TK? I could be even lazier with it.". Standing up, she got the keys and grabbed a sweater. "Let's ride, sweet pea. I'm thinking I need to get some new dresses. Fall is the perfect season for me. I can be covered up without too many people wondering why "
"Sometimes. But only for the flight. I am slightly jealous that others can fly but not me." She smirked as she grabbed her coat and bag before walking over to the door that lead out of the hotel room. "Well you will be shopping with the right person. I have been known to find those cute dresses."

A couple of hours later found them in the food court. Rogue was happily enjoying her grits, unable to come to terms with Tandy's uncanny ability to find exactly what was wanted.
"Are ya sure y'all don't have some.sorta secondary mutation, specific jus' for shopping? Cause I jus' can't believe all the things we got!"
Tandy looked over at the bags and smirked, "Nah. I think that is just hereditary. My mother was a super model and then opened her own fashion company after she had me. Fashion just runs in the blood."
"Obviously." she reached for her sweet tea, and took a satisfied sip. "And that's why y'all work with Adri right? Or she's your guardian? I can't quite remember."
"Guardian. She also worked with my mother when both were younger. But she has been more of a mom to me than my real one ever was. How do you know Adri?"
Rogue finished her drink, and gave a little wink. "Well, in true Xavier style -- my secondary mutation is telepathy." And then she laughed. "Kidding! Nah, she's currently dating my ex boyfriend but I secretly like her way more than Kane. We met at Julian's housewarmin' and hit it off. I think one day, we'll move to Canada, get married and have an open relationship.". After a thought, she added, "Garrison can come too, but only if he does our bidding." Another laugh as she pictured Garrison as a pool boy, skimming leaves. "At least that's the dream, right?"
Tandy's jaw dropped, "You dated Mr. K? Did I mention that Adrienne is like my mom? And she totally made sex topics awkward for me." She teased and took another sip of her drink.
Rogue nodded her head somberly. "Picturing beautiful people having sex is always awkward for me too. High five?"
Tandy laughed and raised up her hand to get a high five from Rogue. "No. She actually thought I had sex on the couch with Clint and Sue once. Not as bad as it could had been but she was convinced. Since then I am terrified that if I do do anything, she will just know."
"Woooow....kids really are growing up fast. in my day, it was heavy petting over the clothes. Now, you guys have had more action than I could picture. Are threesomes the new groping?"
Tandy shook her head. "No we didn't actually have a threesome. It was a memory from back in her modeling days. But still---it was still kind of embarrassing. Glad she got her mind sorted out."
"A memory? Like an acid flashback?" Rogue was going to talk to Adrienne about that. "At least you have a guardian willing to talk about that stuff. I grew up in a home where a slut was a girl who looked at a guy, and nipples was a bad word."
"Her powers were causing her memories to blend with other memories she had done from Reading stuff. I guess she couldn't get rid of those memories until last yearish. She has been my guardian for almost two years. My mother was never around for any of those kind of talks. I mean I kissed boys and all but never that..."
There was so much she still didn't know about the people she spent her time with. "Fair enough," she responded. "That definitely makes more sense than drugs. I have no idea why my mind went there right away.". And then she asked a question she was scared to get an answer for. "Ya ain't mad at me for trickin' you into comin' here with Julian, are ya?"
"I don't think Adri does drugs. She is a very good example on that subject." She beamed proudly for her guardian. Her beam disappeared and looked down. "You knew, didn't you?"
Rogue smiled. "Like I told Prince Charming: it was obvious. It was also obvious that y'all could've benefited from a lil meddlin'. You are two stubborn people."
"Yeah, well I thought about not coming but then I couldn't do that to you. You have been so nice to me since we met. And you're meddlin' paid off."
"Aw sugar, I'm glad.". And she was. She really liked the young girl. "And lucky for me it all worked out. I want you to know that you can talk to me bout anything, okay? I'm in both of y'all's corner. If he's mean to you, i'll kick his ass and vice versa. So don't make me do anything Logan'd do."
Tandy smirked. "I am not mean so you don't have to worry about me. But I promise no kissy face on the way back in the car ride."
"Sounds good, cutie.". She finished her drink and sighed. "Wanna get back to shopping? There's still sales to hit up."
"Don't have to ask me twice. But I am afraid there will be no where for us to sit in the car on the way back if we keep this up."
