Sif dispatches Molly to take care of some Frost Giants, and she takes Tandy and Ty for back up.
Sif was perusing a report as Molly entered her chambers. "Ah, there you are, little sister." The nickname was said with a bit of fondness - any Midgardian was far younger than her. And while others might work their thralls and demand obeisance, that was not Sif's way. "I would have you travel to Nidavillir," she said without further preamble. "It appears the frost giants are restless and bothering our dwarven friends."
In the years that Molly'd been in Asgard she had grown taller, but not by much. Her mom was short, so it made sense that she'd be short too. As it was, she barely made it to Sif's shoulder. But she was fast, and as strong as any Asgardian. Something she prided herself on. She gave Sif a firm nod.
"I'm on it, Wonder Woman," she said with a grin. From the moment she met Sif she had reminded her of her. Except in real life.
"I should probably have backup, though. Just in case. I think Tandy and Ty should come." Frost Giants weren't used to a lot of light, and Ty could keep them hidden if they needed it.
"If that's okay."
"That seems sensible." Sif nodded sharply in acknowledgement. "Plan for eventualities, a good thought, Astrid." That nickname, even more than the diminutive she had greeted Molly with, had an air of fondness and pride - Molly's strength was the equal of any Asgardian, and she had taken well to Sif's training. She carried herself in a way that was a credit to Sif as her guardian and teacher.
"While we are thinking on tactics, take some of them alive. Preferably all. If this is a prelude to some larger scheme, we will need intelligence."
Capturing frost giants. That was gonna be hard, but not impossible. Molly did like to have to figure out solutions to challenges. It was kinda fun. "Okie dokie. I've got some ideas," she said. At least the frost giants had a big weakness, even though they were pretty smart. They knew when they were beat, unlike bilgesnipes, massive monsters that mostly just liked to destroy without any reason at all. They didn't know how to go down.
"I'll hit the armory, then get Ty and Tandy. Do you know where the frost giants were spotted last?" Obviously they were up to something. Hopefully they hadn't killed a lot of people along the way.
"Reports are unfortunately sparse on that front, just that they are active in Nidavillir." Sif made a slight frustrated noise. Better to have more information, but one couldn't always pick and choose what one wanted in the way of battlefield reporting. It pleased her that her young charge asked cogent questions, the same questions she would ask in Molly's place.
Molly nodded, then smiled brightly. "At least we know where they are now. That's better than not knowing anything at all." Pulling her hair up into a ponytail, Molly checked her gear to make sure she wasn't missing anything. If she was she could grab it at the armory. They were fighting frost giants. That meant they could break out the glowy swords. So cool.
"Kay, we'll start at Nidavillir and go from there."
