Tabitha's prank on the fridge in their suite backfires as Roxy is unperturbed, so the girls decide to team up to go prank the boys.
Tabitha loved this place. Going into town and dealing with high school was as boring as it had been back home, but the mansion was a place of utter delight.
Finding the solar power supply was simple. As was setting it up with a greeting card that played music. She tested it on the mini-fridge in her own suite when all of the other girls were out.
She just had to get up in the middle of the night to place it in the main fridge. She suppressed the laughter that wanted to escape as she rummaged around the large unit, but she couldn't hold back a very large grin.
Roxy opened the suite door, bouncy and grinning from her workout in the gym. Her earphones were in her ears and she hummed along to one of her mom's greatest hits. She dumped her bag and went straight to the fridge, hoping to find some chocolate milk. When she opened it, she heard a song on top of the music in her earphones. Cool! Someone had rigged the fridge up to play music! Making an excited noise, Roxy danced a little to the song and started singing along.
Tabitha threw her hands over her ears. "Oh my god! You must be the only person over the age of five on the planet that likes Frozen!" She dropped her head onto the counter with a long moan. "I've failed. FAILED."
"Sorry," Roxy answered with a grin and a shrug, digging the card out of the fridge and tossing it to Tabitha. "If I'm going to play Elsa when it goes on Broadway in 2017, I gotta sing it every chance I get. Better luck next time. Oh! Hey! You know whose fridge we should put it in?" She gave her suitemate a devious smile. "Bobby's."
Tabitha's face lit up. She'd only seen Bobby in passing, but he seemed like a perfect target. "Do you know which room is his?" She asked eagerly. Locks weren't a problem, getting into the right room, just a bit.
"Sure! He's rooming with Miles. Which means we can prank them both," Roxy responded, and gave a maniacal cackle. "If we can get into their room, that is. Can you do that? I heard security around here was pretty tight."
Tabitha smirked. "I got it, don't you worry a bit." She tilted her head. "So, do you know when they'll both be out? Because having them walk in on us would totally ruin the surprise."
Roxy frowned thoughtfully. "How attached to the whole 'going to school every minute of every day' thing are you?" she inquired, making a 'come on you know you wanna' face.
Tabs snorted with laughter. "I only go to alleviate the boredom. Preeeetty sure none of the teachers would even notice if I was gone."
"Nice. How about we blow off a class and do it when everyone else is in class, then?"
Tabitha tucked her musical device into her sweater and held out her hand. "You have a deal."
Roxy shook the hand eagerly, wide grin on her face. "Excellent. You wanna go get some food or something? Fuel us up for the prank at hand? The kitchens here are like something out of Hogwarts. Or... I have a car."
Tabs grinned. "Let's bust outta this joint for a while."
