Bobbi meets up with Callisto to let her know about the link between the Morlock deaths and the Carlysle Medical Center.

Callisto was already at the diner when Bobbi arrived, slumped in a back corner, her shaggy hair mostly hiding her distinctive eyepatch from at least more casual observers. It was late, and the place was almost entirely empty, a bored-looking waitress leaning on the counter reading a magazine and chewing gum, the radio piping generic-sounding rock through the crackly old PA.

Basically, it was a modern noir stereotype, and Callisto, with her biker jacket and closed-off expression, did little to break it - but for the large pint-glass of whole milk in front of her in lieu of the traditional black coffee.

Bobbi slid into the booth on the seat opposite Callisto. She was dressed as inconspicuously as she could for the pre-arranged locale, tying her hair up in a rough pony tail and sporting similar attire to its other patrons. She waved down a passing waitress, pointing down to her chipped cup and nodding in thanks after it'd been filled.

"So," she started, lifting the liquid to her lips. "Does the Carlysle Medical Center mean anything to you?"

Callisto shrugged. "Should it? I know where it is..."

"We have reason to believe it's connected to a mutant tissue smuggling operation." She put her coffee back down and wrapped her hands around the mug to warm them up. "We're pretty sure it's linked to the deaths, but we still need to investigate it further."

"Tissue smuggling? Like... organs and stuff?"

"Yeah," Bobbi said, letting the 'stuff' part hang out there for a few beats. She certainly didn't want to get specific about it. "We're trying to figure out who's behind it, but we're pretty certain that's what's going on in there."

"No, don't I'll-..." Callisto broke off with a sigh, casting her eye down into her milk. "I'll... do nothing and fuck us all over because there aren't enough to us to deal with this shit any more." She closed her eye for a moment, brow furrowing. "I'm sorry, I'm... not used to accepting help. Or asking for it."

"Don't be sorry, I -" Bobbi stopped herself short of saying she knew it must be hard. She didn't know anything about what Callisto or any of the Morlocks were going through after all. "It's what we do, and once we find what we're looking for, you'll be the first to know. I promise." That was the best she could do, to work as hard as possible to get to the bottom of things in order to help them.

"Right." Callisto sighed again, and nodded. "I mean, yes, thank you. Really. Thank you."

"We'll be in touch soon, ok?" Bobbi took out the money for her coffee and placed it on the table, giving Callisto a nod before turning to leave. She hoped the next time they spoke she'd have a lot more information to give her fellow mutant.
