Alex's showing off catches up to him when he breaks his leg on the slopes. Thankfully he has a very pretty nurse. Backdated to March 6.
"Oooooooooooh." Alex giggled - flat out giggled - as Lorna helped him limp to bed. For some reason he'd thought being a cocky showoff on the slopes was a good idea. And had paid the price with a broken leg. He'd be fine, of course. But he wasn't snowboarding again any time soon.
"Lor, LorLorLorLor, the room is spinning."
"No. You are spinning now sit down." Lorna could force him but she gentle pushed him by the shoulders and into the bed, "Have you learned your lesson?"
"What lesson?" Alex asked stupidly, looking around. "Lor we're not in school. Well I guess we're in a school. But they don't teach us."
"Life lessons. You don't need to be in school for that." Lorna fetched a pillow so she could put it under his injured leg. "How about not showing off?"
"I was just having a little fun!" Alex protested, pouting. "Besides I was having fun. Weren't you having fun, Lor?"
"Of course I was having fun. Up until the point where I spent several hours in the ER so they could see you." She put her hands on her hips as she looked down at him. "Now you are broken. I can't play with a broken lover." She teased.
"Totally not broken," Alex insisted with a frown. "Just a little damaged. But it'll fix. I've broken that leg lots and it always heals!"
"Totally broken." Lorna teased. "I think you have broken more bones than the X-Factor combined. And I have had my fair share of broken bones. What am I going to do with you?" She asked, not expecting a response.
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeell hopefully still love me." Alex's face split into a wide grin. "Ya still love me, right Lor?"
"Always." She smiled at his grin. "I would go into the hornet's nest to get you. Hell, I walked into Brotherhood's trap to get you out."
"Mmmmm, I'm so lucky to have you." His voice and grin were both loopy, but the words were nonetheless true.
"What would you do without me?" She ran a hand through his hair. "Surfing ever day?"
"But what fun would it be without my favorite surfing partner?" He asked with a frown, though he definitely made a sound that was almost a purr as he leaned into her hand.
"And yet we can't go surfing any time soon cause you broke your leg." She shook her head. "Are you getting tired?"
"Mmmmm, I'll heal," Alex muttered, yawning, as if her question were a suggestion. "Snuggle with me?"
She smirked as she got into bed next to him, laying her head on his chest. "Always."
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay," Alex said loopily, holding Lorna close. "Love you Lor."
"Love you too Alex. Now get some rest. And when you wake up, we can get Chinese food."
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay," he said again before promptly passing out.
