Hope and Doug distribute the footage they made the night before.

"Long live personal publicists." Hope declared. "I have about two dozen email addresses they use to drop hints for their clients. From gossip rags to more respectable magazines and newspapers."

"And god bless TMZ's desire to be first to publish, no matter how sleazy the story."  Doug was still scrubbing the last of the adhesives off as he flopped down in front of his laptop.  Most of the makeup, however, was of the sort that would take a couple weeks to completely go away.

"They'll eat this up." Hope took a seat next to Doug and pulled the laptop closer, opening up the video capture. "What is the most efficient way to play this? Just send the whole video at once or whet their appetites for a scandal first with some stills?"

"Stills.  Never show your hand all at once," Doug instructed his young padawan.  "You start with some low-quality, grainy stills.  Then you trickle out some better quality stuff that clearly shows the politician's face, and then 'oh hey, there's video too'."

"Alright..." Hope frowned as the video moved forward a little. "Here, this still shows the neighborhood clearly. Local media especially should know what area this is." She dragged the still into the file they were compiling, then let the vid run again.

"I should hope so - that reputation is why we picked it."  Doug relaxed into his chair, letting Hope do the editing work for the time being.  "Did you get a clear shot of the license plate?"  Even if it were an anonymous car, it could likely be tracked back to the delegate.

"I did. I have it separately somewhere though. I was thinking that one might work best in the second batch. I should pique their interest and hopefully they'll start researching who the 'lucky guy' was." Hope commented as she stopped the vid and minimized the window to look for that particular still.

Doug made a thoughtful noise and considered.  "I think the plate needs to go in the first set - get them looking in that direction from the start.  Otherwise it's a non-starter if it's just 'generic rich dude goes trolling for mutant booty'."

"Maybe..." Hope quickly paged through some of the stills until she found the one she wanted. "... we should add this one as well." The still on the screen showed a half hidden face, but it still looked somewhat familiar. "I think the ones of the plates and this one should really send them searching."

"And the one of me leaning against the car with the door open," Doug decided.  "License plate, shadowed john, obvious streetwalker.  Sets all the framework out for the narrative we want them to come up with."

"Alright... and here we have the email addresses we need..." With a few clicks Hope attached the photos and with a final click they were on their way. "How is that?"

"Perfect."  Doug's grin was decidedly predatory.  "Now we wait for the pot to stir."
