Angel and Sooraya plan a well-earned vacation.

Angel dropped a stack of papers on the already crowded kitchen table, sighing. "Alright, this was every good price I could find on renting an RV. Some of these places are super sketchy looking, but I included them just in case we get desperate."

Sooraya eyed the stack of folders Angel had dropped on the table, it at least being an inch thick. She had to laugh and added: "I'm sure we'll be able to find something. I mean, it's not like we are in the middle of the busy season. I was just looking at this one... it shows the sizes there are. It's the first time I'll be driving something this big..."

"Same," Angel admitted, leaning in to examine what Sooraya was looking at. "We can figure it out, though. How different can it be?"

"I know I'd rather not back into something." Sooraya leaned forward to point something out on the screen. "I was actually also looking at how much gas they use. I mean, depending on how long we go it might be better to rent something more expensive if it uses far less gas. And this one might be a bit smaller, but I don't think we need something really huge with the two of us and it'll be easier to heat while it's still chilly."

"Smaller is probably better," Angel agreed, sorting through all of her papers to find the smaller ones. "It's not like we can't share a bed or a something, and we'll only really be sleeping and driving in it."

"True, but I think I'd like at least a little bit of space to be able to cook for ourselves. I think we can get tired of restaurants all the time, though it also depends a bit for how long we go... How do you feel about the absolute need for a shower?" Sooraya pushed some of the leaflets she'd been looking at to the side.

"My hair starts to do weird things if I go more than two days without washing it," Angel said, tugging at a lock of her flaming red hair. "Worse comes to worse and we can't afford something with a shower, I can always wash it in a rest room bathroom. I'm sure weirder things have happened in those places. You?"

"I can easily do without it. Camper showers are supposed to be tiny and the water never really gets hot." Sooraya replied, thinking back to her years growing up back in Afghanistan. "Some of the camping places must have showers too or worse come to worst, we rent a motel room for one night and voila, shower."

"True, true. Plenty of ways to get a shower." Angel flipped through the more of their options. "A lot of them have fridges, but they're tiny. We're probably going to have to stop to go shopping once or twice."

"If we can find the space for it... we can use an extra cooler as well. Should work nicely for drinks and maybe some other things that don't need to be chilled..." Sooraya looked up as something suddenly occured to her. "What we might wanna look into, is if there is decent heating with this time of year... It can get pretty chilly at night."

"We can always buy a little space heater or something too," Angel said. "Or, ya know, just snuggle up to me." She was a walking space heater, after all.

"That sounds pretty good to me." Sooraya had a grin playing around her lips as she added. "Or we could buy one of those blanket with arms things you keep threatening me with? But now that we kinda know what we want in our RV, what do we wanna visit while driving around in the thing. I got a few idea's here."

"Snuggies are very fashionable, you know," Angel teased before tapping her chin. "Hmmm. Well, it depends on the route we want to take, but I was thinking we could hit Seattle? Lots to see there, and my mother has a shower she'd probably let us use for free."

"I won't say no to a visit to your mom. I has been a long time since I saw her... And I've read about a day tour to Mount Rainier at least. I've read good reviews about a ten hour one and the views are said to be stunning! And I'd like to visit maybe some of your favorite haunts... spots where little Angel grew up." Sooraya teased with twinkling eyes, warming up to the idea of a visit there.

Angel grinned. "You want to spend twelve hours at the local pool? Because that's where I spent most of my time," she said with a laugh. "But yeah, Rainier is awesome, everyone should see it once before they die."

Sooraya pulled over her laptop, typing in Mount Rainier. "Oh, you can take sleigh rides at this time of year! Or do some snowshoeing. Both sounds pretty cool. And the waterfall is supposed to be stunning. One definite yes for Rainier." She scribbled a note on page where they were making their plans. "What else are you thinking of?"

"Hmmmm." Angel tilted her head, thinking. "God it's been forever since I was back. I'll have to think."

Sooraya busied herself on the laptop while Angel thought, scrolling through various lists of things to see and to do. "Bah..." She commented in the quiet after a few momnets. "Doing those lists feels too much like checking of boxes of things to do."

"We've got time to think about it," Angel said. "Look for the stuff that's actually interesting to you instead of 'let's see the third world's largest ball of twine.'"

"Hmmm, Chihuly Garden and Glass sounds kinda interesting. Did you ever visit that one?" Sooraya asked after a few more moments of looking through the various lists. "It's kinda different from the usual types of museums."

"Oooooooh, yes," Angel said happily. "I went there on a field trip once in.... sixth grade, I think? My dad chaperoned because he was convinced I was going to break something...."
