Clea and Stephen are in history class as their professor goes over his newest collection of artifacts
Tick tock tick tock, the clock seemed to move in a world of its own, each second drawing out into an eternity. The teeanger forced his eyes away from the clock, from the freedom it signified and back to the front of the class, dark eyes flicking over the teacher's desk. It looked almost like a grown up version of show and tell, he really did seem excited about something there.
Their teacher continued to drone on about his new collection that were displayed on the table. He picked up one of the relics and explained its importance in Native American culture. The pencil that she was tapping flew out of her hands, before dropping and rolling on the floor. "Stan..." Clea leaned over to get her teammates attention before pointing to her pencil that had rolled under his feet. The boy lifted up the pencil and handed it back over.
Stephen glanced over at the others before letting his attention slip away, back to the teacher at the front of the class as he slumped lower down in his chair. "I mean, I get that he loves this but does he have to bring in every single artefact he gets? I mean I love history as much as the next guy, but thre is a better time to go through the provenance of every single object than the last thing before the end of the day."
Their teacher paused and looked over at Strange before he continued, as if he could hear what he had just said. "And last but not lease, this bear like- totem was donated just recently to the collection. From what I have read about it it is said to trap restless souls or spirits within it. But this is just a theory..." And he went on with how it relates to the culture of the time period he was teaching.
"A spirit trapped inside an object, that isn't creepy or anything." Clea whispered.
"It's not like we haven't seen weirder, but seriously, what're the chances of it actually being a real artefact. He probably just got ripped off because he does...well I guess without actual powers you'd never know." Stepehen gave the teacher at the front of the class a long look, "Hey, do you think he actually has magic powers? I mean that'd explain how he always seems to know when you're passing notes."
"I don't have magic powers Mr Strange, but I do have super hearing." The teacher had paused at the right moment.
Clea couldn't help but to cover her mouth to stop from giggling to loud. It took several more seconds for the rest of the class to obtain order before he went on with the lecture for the remainder of the period.
