Rogue goes out and loses her phone and wallet. Julian to the rescue!

The pounding at the door to his loft seemed hard enough to knock the steel-cored wood from it's reinforced hinges. Julian cinched his dressing robe tighter as another volley of knocks rang out through the apartment- he was grateful that Tandy and the pups were not here, as the later would be going mad and the former would be murdering him for being woken up. One hand glowing a ghostly green, he pulled out his phone from the top of the stairs and opened the app that would show him who was causing the ruckus- assuming it was some adversary or another that was back for vengeance. Relief flooded him as he saw a familiar face without and used his telekinesis to flip on this foyer lights and unlatch the door.

"Oh thank god," Rogue said, rushing in to give Julian a hug. She was pretty drunk, totally unexpectedly after going out with some friends from school. "I lost my wallet and my phone and you're the only one I could think of who might be in their city place since Sue is never there, and I neeeeeever talk to Warren and I don't know any other rich people and can I crash? Please? And maybe use your phone to call Logan since he's PROBABLY worried about me because he's so amazing, oh my god I love him so much, and oh wow, I think I might puke." Pulling away, she rushed to the bathroom.

About ten minutes later, she stumbled out, her face having been scrubbed free from whatever make up mess was there, and she squinted at him. Her gloves were now off and she sighed. "I am suuuuch a mess. Why do I keep drinking tequila?? I should never drink tequila!" She pointed a finger at him. "No one should ever drink tequila."

A fitted sheet tucked itself around the couch (the second layer Julian had put down) as her host used his clockwork hands to fluff a down pillow- a tiny feather escaping through a hole somewhere in it to drift through the air and vanish behind the couch. "Tequilla is dangerous indeed- you okay?" He unfurled a blanket with his teekay and draped it over the back of the couch.

"Mmmmhmm," she said, flopping down on the couch and burying her face into the pillow. "I'm good. Great. I feel so much better now too..... don't let me forget to call Logan ... and how are you anyways??" She popped her head up and turned to look at him. "I haven't seen you in ages, I was worried you weren't even in town anymore. Why haven't I seen you?"

"I missed a lot of time in the office while Tandy was-" Julian shrugged and let out a little sigh. "Anyway, Mom has a new project they're trying to launch and a couple east-coast firms are involved, so I have to double-check everything they do. Call Logan."

"Logan?" Rogue frowned for a moment before widening her eyes. "Oh right! Shit, my phone." she groaned. "Can you believe it?? Lost that stupid thing and my wallet...I've never lost a phone before." Giving Julian a 'gimme' motion, she used his phone quickly to send a text. "The old man is sleeping. He's so oooollldddd. Didn't wanna come out...or did I not invite him? Doesn't matter. Back to you! Are you even richer now? Don't get like that prick Worthington. Money should never go to your head."

Julian chuckled and took his phone back, "Warren isn't so bad- but don't worry, I'll keep my down-to-earth nature about me." One of his detached hands floated over to the blanket draped over the back of the couch and pulled it over his friend, "Who were you out with?"

She gave a lazy wave. "School people. We're celebrating we don't have to go back to school anymore." Rogue sighed happily as the blanket was tucked in. "I finished my post-grad crap. I get to be a school counsellor now..oh! Like now! I got a job at the school the kids go to! Ha, Maya won't ever get rid of me."

"I'm sure that's going to be great for your home-work balance," Julian chuckled. "Still, good that we'll have some eyes in that place- it's like a magnet for trouble."

Rogue sat up suddenly with a grin. "Right? Those damn kids! I remember being at the Mansion, back in the day....could barely go a week without some baddie coming in." She shook her head and then groaned. "God, i am going to feel like shit tomorrow, arent i?"

"Unless you suddenly developed a secondary mutation like Tandy's...probably, yeah," Julian smirked and detached one of his hands- letting it float toward the medicine cabinet for aspirin and a glass of water. "Seriously though, you're going to be an amazing school counselor."

Rogue brushed her hair out of her face and gave him a beaming smile. "I am, ain't I? I can't wait. Been feeling like...adrift or lost or something." She waved a hand in the air. "I'm in my 30s, and jus' don't even know what I want to do, so yah, this will be good." She grinned. "Maybe this is like a mid-life crisis?"

"Pretty sure you have to actually be half-way through your life for that to happen," Julian rolled his eyes and stood up. "I'll leave the bathroom light on for you, Miss Marie."

"Mmhmm". Rogue was already snuggling up to a pillow, thinking of all the water she'd need to drink the next day..but this was comfy. This was nice. "Thanks for bein' my Prince Charmin', Julian. I can always count on you."
