While the group debates what to do for Rahne, a solution arrives from an unexpected place.
Rahne was on a makeshift bed not far away from where the rest of the group was arguing amongst themselves. It'd been a heated discussion on the best course forward to help Rahne and the others trapped in this world. There were no easy choices. The cure was trapped within Natasha and there wasn't a way to get it out without killing her. The world and its science had rapidly degraded in the years since the virus had taken hold and turned everything into a horror movie. Survival was the one and only goal of everyone that was still uninfected. Sacrifices were made and continued to be made. The world shaped the people and nothing was easy.
The argument grew intense with Jean and Laurie arguing their points with Natasha, Felicia, and Xavin jumping in with their own heated words. The survivors they'd met at the hospital had given them space to come to a decision, but the group knew that they might still be overruled no matter what they decided if the answer they gave wasn't agree with by the other survivors.
"Well, this one is a real garden spot." Kane said as they stepped into the lights.
"Zombie apocalypse scenario?" Ev posited. All things considered, not the worst one they had visited. At least they kept their own bodies and clothes. A figure appeared several feet away, cloaked in shadows, but Ev quickly recognized her, and he could not help but grin. "Tasha!"
Natasha looked toward the voice then relief and surprise washed over her face. "Ev?! What're you doing here?" She broke away from the group and walked quickly toward him. "How'd you get past the survivors staged all over this place? Or the zombies?" She paused as she took him and Kane in and frowned. "What's going on here?"
"I remember her being taller." Kane quipped. "Ev, hit the recall. Let's get them the hell out of here."
"Oh, I was being facetious about the zombies." A tear in the fabric of reality opened behind them, and Ev stepped aside to let the group pass through. "We'll explain later, but you can chalk this up right now to SHIELD tech being incompatible with anything else. Typical, right?"
