Missing kid seems like a cut and dry case... until a certain anti-mutant cult comes up.

Bobbi placed a cup of coffee in front of the man who'd come to see them. His daughter, Anne, went missing and, even though she was an adult, he was concerned. After putting him into their board room, she'd offered him a drink, then asked Lorna to join her on the way back.

"So, Mr. Coulter, you wanted to talk to us about your daughter?"

Joe looked around, lost, and sipping his coffee just to give his hands something to do. "Yeah. I tried to talk to the police, and they said not answering her phone isn't a crime, but... I know something's wrong. Anne's a good kid, she wouldn't just disappear. And..." He sighed, scrubbing his face. "She was going to see her mother, and I know blaming the ex for something terrible is the oldest story, but Linda..." He waved a hand, sighing. "Annie's a mutant. Linda didn't... saying she didn't like it is an understatement. Not anything, you know, noticeable - no tails or horns, only a few people ever knew about it. She can do the - the thing, you know, moving stuff with her mind..."

Lorna's arm was still in a sling, she was lucky it was still attached at all. Taking a painkiller, she followed Bobbi back to the meeting room where they were interviewing Mr. Coulter. "How old is your daughter Mr. Coulter?" Lorna took a seat nearby. "Does she have close friends?"

Again, sipping his coffee with no real interest. "She's eighteen. She has a lot of friends, I've talked to a few of them - went to campus to ask around, she's at NYU. No one's seen her since her last class on Friday. She spent Friday night with me, then left Saturday morning to see her mom. I haven't been able to get in touch of either of them since."

"Do they have any interests together, things they might attend or go to where we might be able to track them down?" Or where they might be able to check for potential suspects, Bobbi thought, not wanting to say that part out loud just yet. "Anywhere we might be able to check that has surveillance or security, that kind of thing."

He shook his head. "Linda hasn't seen Annie since she was fourteen. She gave up all her parental rights. Then suddenly she just popped back up a few months ago, talking about those... ya know." He waved his hand, as if that could somehow say what he couldn't find the words for. "The church crazies or whatever. I told Linda it was a cult, but she wouldn't listen to me."

Using her good hand, she was taking down some keynotes of where to start, locations and names. However, her heart might as well skipped several beats when a church was mentioned. Lorna looked over at Bobbi to see if she was thinking the same thing. "Do you have your ex-wives address?"

"Yeah, it's... in my phone, hang on..." He got his phone out, swiping for a few seconds before sliding it over to Lorna to write down. Then he took another sip of coffee just to do something.

While he retrieved the address, Bobbi exchanged looks with the others. This was as good a lead as they were going to get, so they'd better get on it as soon as possible. "Thank you, sir. We'll look into this immediately and will let you know what we find out, if anything."

Lorna pulled out one of her cards and wrote down her cellphone number. "If you hear anything or remember anything, give me a call." She finished writing it down and hand it over, hoping that the outcome will be positive. "We will find her."

Joe tried to smile, taking the card. He had hope. His daughter knew how to take care of herself. He hoped. "Thank you."
